TRANSCRIPT
Think of your movie as a three bedroomed wooden house. Okay?
There are three bedrooms in the house. That's the entire movie. Bedroom number one is act one, number two is act two, and number three is act three.
Let's just look at bedroom number one. Now, inside this wooden room you will see there are different pieces of furniture. There are some chairs and tables and each piece inside represents a scene within that act.
And now, let's just look at a chair for a moment. Let's look at this chair, this wooden chair. It has legs, it has arms, and it has a back, and it has slats. All of those are the components that make up the scene, but inside each of these pieces are nails.
The nails hold it all together. If you take one of these nails out and look at that nail, that nail is your action for the scene. Play each nail. Do not play the house. Play the nail. And guess what will happen to your audition?
