Thanks Chris! So glad to See this. I need this bike, or I may never be able to ride again. Saving for one. At least the post isn't a **** buster! The first time I ever saw a specialized post, it scared the hec out of me. Didn't buy a Specialized because of that post.
It's an awesome, outstanding bike! the only issue i had with it since i own it was a snapped chain. works like a machine, in my oppinion jumping with the decoy feels more safe then with a regular bike! edit: the only thing i dont like about this 6k euro bike is that those little rubber things ( 3:38 in the video ) that are supposed to seal up the frame from water - they are always slipping out of the holes where they are supposed to stay in... but besides that - insane bike!
Did you got any solution for this issue? Seems like its still an actual thing on the newest core 4.. That bothers me so hard. Chain still as fine as it should be. **knocking on wood**
@@xscr33m haha, nice to hear! well, i just used a drip of sealing-silicon to keep them in place like 6 months ago and they haven't moved since, so maybe you should try that as well!
Chris…I’m not kidding here, this is one of the best bike review type videos I have watched…no bullshit just the right answers, so good I’m gonna subscribe :) I
Got the Decoy 1 and quickly upgraded the rear shock to the Deluxe Ultimate. Only gripe is the saddle won't hold and tilts up even on small bumps, and I've tightened the screws as snugged as I can and it still moves...sigh. Anyway, it's really centered underneath you and feels like a normal bike on the jumps.
The wheel problem you had I also couldn't keep my Capra pro race in spokes and seat post problems etc so put me off getting the first ebike from YT. So sold it and bought a Specialized Kenovo expert and had lots of stuff break but it's a great bike but christ they are expensive as hell.
Haha this is great, I got the bike a month after you and basically did the same shit and had the same issues: - switched to Magura wstop with MCp rotors - grips to supercush - seat to chromag trailmaster Ltd comfy - 2.8 rear lasted a day on the east coast - GS axs derailleur, love it - dropped a grip2 damper in fork, cause it’s chunky here and it was super cheap - Sprindex adjustable spring 450 - 490, chunk to huck Dt Swiss axle backs out and gives me rear wheel steering until I tighten again (ugh). Been riding in the low setting, 2.5 rear, just dragging cranks…switched to high tonight after watching this. Just never did it, don’t know why. Bike is sick, jumps, plows, is agile. You rarely notice the weight until you ride wet east coast roots and rocks…then it’s apparent.
I believe it definitely has the travel numbers and geometry for it. But it might take longer to progress since it is a lot of bike. The learning process is different. I wouldn’t have it as my only bike but as a tool for learning definitely! Hope that helps!
Yes and your review was everything someone needs to know, no additional fluff, good job man
Thank you so much my man!! Glad I was able to help!
Dang dude, this review was really cool. I’ve not had any kind of serious itch for an ebike…. Until now. Well done man.

What’s funny is I actually broke my chain the day after filming this.
@@chrisbucci haha i saw it on IG buddy!

Bro! That’s means so much, thank you! I’m so glad I was able to help you!
How tall are you and what size you go with? I'm 5'10" and thinking of going with the XL since the L has a very short reach compared to other brands.
Got a Decoy Core 3 on order. March can't come quick enough! 🤣
Yeahhh! Gonna be sick!
Great review. I’m stuck, can’t decide between this and core 3. Shred is a $1000 more expensive in Aus.
What did you decide?
3 years later. No broken frame or triangle?

Can you still use the bike as analogue when the battery is dead or does the battery need to be charged in order to use the bike?
Yeah you can
If you don’t mind me asking, and maybe you said and I just missed it. What’s the mileage on your bike at the time of this review?
Did you put new rotors on when you replaced brakes with mt7s?
Yes I did!
Great review mate, what size frame were you riding?
Thank you my man! It’s a large.
What made you choose an L vs XL?

Just started looking at E-Bikes, because climbs like Rocky peak 4x in a row are starting to kill me.....anway, G-Spot jump line FTW!

Can this be used as a downhill bike for a novice to intermedia (older) rider?

Boost mode!
Where did you sell your parts? (brakes, stem, bar)
Facebook market place! Or to my friends!
@@chrisbucci Awesome!
Did they quit making the shred?
They made a new updated version of their mullet ebike.
thanks
