Tally Hall is known for wearing colored ties (Joe Hawley is red, Andrew Horowitz is green etc.) the colors they wear are red, green, blue, yellow, and grey. The creator of this show thus made Michael have those colors, just as another reference to the band. As for where you start, episode 1a is the start. The playlist on the creators channel has one other video before it but idk what that one is
