There is literally no way that's that dudes real voice. It reminds me of when guys were like 13 tryin to make their voices deeper lmao.
Finally the true vanillia WoW
I played wow for the first time with classic release ,it's not nostalgia the game was just awesome . Noticing the daynight cycle according to irl time and the huge map at the first levels just blew my mind.
What's up with the voice?????
his voice is so comically werid you cant ignore it. dude cant decide if hes doing a steveo or a rick sanchez impression
video would be better if the guy wasnt trying to talk like guy fieri the whole time
didn't know Steve-o was into WoW enough to run around an old build like this.
The guy from the vid sounds like a goblin from wow
Get this man a cough drop.
I think that the whole of Blackrock Mountain is one of the greatest achievements in gaming history. From the heart of Molten Core to the View from Nef's Balcony and everywhere in between, there was a time that if felt like the entire gaming world was scurrying under its peaks.
I particularly remember the feeling of playing classic wow before any raids or battlegrounds were added. Everyone was exploring the world, interacting with each other, and learning the game while slowly leveling up. Classic wow was magical.
BRD didn't even feel like a dungeon space designed to have bosses put inside for you to kill. It felt like a legitimate city where these dwarves lived and thrived within. And don't get me started on all the rpg elements put into this dungeon. Let's take the grim guzzler as the best example. You can get through it by starting a bar fight causing the golem to come in, you can steal the key, you can get a dwarf drunk causing him to destroy a keg blowing off the cork and causing property damage (also making the golem killable for the group), etc. I havn't seen anything like that in many other dungeons and that is just ONE example. There was also the highway that would close if you opeend up an alternative route, it was super nonlinear, had a special place to forge (kind of like Scholo for alchemists I think, I was never an alchemist) Sure doing a full run was fucking ROUGH to get through but I still loved it because you didn't HAVE to do a full run to get to the bosses you wanted.
I truly believe Classic WoW was lightning in a bottle. Often immitated, never duplicated. It was also some of my favorite Asmongold content in the last few years; Olympus, the Shadow Priest Advertise ganking, all the loot drama with Royson, the Devilsaur mafia. It was the most socially immersive MMO I've seen Asmon steam. I still go back and watch all those clips while I play.
After playing on that new TBC private server for the past few weeks, I really think the reason Vanilla is so special is the vast world and always having a reason to go through multiple zones to get things done. Each zone feels really fleshed out and interesting. Hell, Azshara is unfinished and still cool to run through. First time I ever came across the Azshara ship crew being attacked by nagas quest in my years of playing WoW. There are so many nooks and crannies to discover. That is why BRD is so cool. First time I maxed out cooking and fishing. Fishing had me going to several different zones just for that. Then blacksmithing had me going to other zones to farm. Then I would sell whatever I didn't need on the AH and that was super fun as well. The moment I stepped in to Outland I was already missing how immersive Azeroth was in comparison.
I asked my brother what he thinks about the specialty of classic.
It may be nostalgia for some, but for me it's the charm of it. Every level feels like an achievement as well. I started in 2019 during release of classic wow. I remember being excited because I never experienced world of warcraft before BFA. I was not disappointed and I still enjoy the leveling experience now.
to behonest, that the assets from 2001 are still untouched and even still regulary used in new locations just speaks volume at what a great decision this art style was. I remember how, even in BC people made fun of the more cartoonish looks but this basically made the game age really slowy
I appreciate you so much Asmon! <3 Loved the reaction :)
Those FPS struggles during the combat... too nostalgic 😂
Idk, I had great memories of Scarlet Monastery and its respective "wings". Spent far too much time in Tirisfal Glades while levelling back in the day, and far too much time at that meeting stone after failed PuG after failed PuG, but it was pretty magical. Not sure I could have taken trying to do the entire place in one go, given how often things fell apart.
