Nothing more fun than taking a motor home trip with the family. My kids still talk about our trips 20 years later. Congratulations

18:13 - You totally hit the nail on the head! The easier it is to get out and do stuff with your RV, the more likely you are to do it - ESPECIALLY quick local trips. These short local trips are a very good way to escape the daily grind and relax for a weekend.

I love my Class C, 2003 Minnie Winnie 24 foot that I bought new. I’ve upgraded all my suspension with airbags and heavy duty stabilizer bars. Two huge solar panels give me 660 watts to charge 400 amp hour lithium batteries. I tow my Harley in an enclosed cargo trailer or opt to tow my mini van depending on the trip. Buying a Class C after coming from a trailer then a 33 foot class A is hands down the absolute best for convenience and mobility. I’d say you’re going to love it. 👍 I enjoyed your video.

    With a Motorhome
The vacation starts when you leave the driveway!! We love ours!! I like the whole life of not having to hook up
Either which u can do with a trailer but it’s so much easier with a Motorhome!

    Thank you for this video.
We rented a very small cabin (Less than 400 sf) in the N. Ga mtns last fall and after getting there and unpacking our little Toyota (food, bedding, clothing changes (two compressions cubes a piece), cooler, on our first day, on the way winding through the back of the Chattahoochee forest, we saw so many RVs & campers over to the side boondocking for the night (look at me, learning the lingo!☺️)
When we got settled in, we were out on the deck w the fire pit and looked at each other & said, we wouldn't have had to fight to get back before dusk (NO lighting and if you passed the turn off, you were easily driving for another good 30 minutes) if we had an RV, this would have been prime!
Now, by all means, don't get us wrong about the Airbnb...but being in someone else's 'home' is still somewhat of a 'meh' factor (esp since my stick vac & cleaning wipes picked up what their cleaner apparently neglected when they said 'cleaned after every stay' 😕
I also brought my own cast irons to cook with and deconstructed easy meals for all our days/nights.
We've also been increasingly disheartened with the hotel stays, esp since lockdowns have lifted. Why MUST the sticky spot on the hotel room counter seem to ALWAYS find my bag??😔
The major turn off has also been the advent of 'No daily cleaning unless requested.' (so can I also not PAY for those days 🤔) and then there's the ever popular waking up inevitably always after the U.M.B. (Unidentified Muffin Breakfast) has been depleted only to have the communal sticky-handled waffle maker as the only option left.
I think I'd like a convection microwave and have the oven area as storage.
Anyway, I appreciate the video. Simple and to the point.
My co-worker's husband picked her up on Friday in their new (previously loved) Minnie Winnie and she's now my FAVORITE co-worker ☺️
She also said they can tow their Yaris (I have a Matrix, so it'll be great).
This really beats us buying another car or truck w pymnt and having a payment on a camper. You were spot-on with the idea of being able to take more smaller trips more frequently than looking to take one or two big trips throughout the year and being relegated to the cost of the hotel, check in time, loading all your stuff up in the car, unloading all your stuff up to the room, remembering that you forgotten something down in the car only after you got an unwound and relaxed, dealing with doors slamming, etc.
I also love the all encompassing idea...sort of like a turtle 🥰

Brought a 2024 Sunseeker 2250sle back in November 2023 but haven't used it yet so this video is great for me and the wife. Planning on taking it out in about two weeks from today 2/16/24 to test things out. Thank you for this video!

I upgraded from a Little Guy Mini Max to a 2024 Sunseeker 2350LE (no slide), and it's been a complete game-changer. For local transportation during my travels, I'll be relying on a mountain bike and an ebike. The Sunseeker is conveniently compact, making it easy to take quick trips to the store. I've decided to keep a set of extra clothes in the camper, so the only essentials I need to bring along are my dog and some food. I'm also looking forward to not having to deal with the hassle of reversing a trailer. Regarding the financial aspect, opting for a Class C has led to significant savings of at least $30,000 compared to the combined cost of a truck and camper.

Cool Ian. Nice she looks new, good buy! Yeah I was expecting to see a Moto already mounted back there ha. Yeah life’s a compromise right ha but that’s a great size. I used to drive my Eurovan pop-top to Laguna Seca, camp at the Corkscrew, and drive into Monterey in the evening. Was fun for me and my son. Nice to have a structure to come back inside in case of wind or weather. Your daughter’s adorable. Enjoy! ✨

You know what's next. A trailer and a side by side! That way you can drive the family around in that and leave the RV parked!

I had a similar class C. I installed a front hitch so I could put a motorcycle rack on the front and also the rear to carry two bikes. Or flat tow our vehicle and still have a motorcycle on the front hitch. Perfect for your KLX300.

Cool! I hope you enjoy your new RV. You'll get used to it; give it time. We've been FT in our older Class A for the last 5 years and loving it. It was the best decision we ever made. There's a world of difference between a MH and a towable, especially traveling with your family or pets like we do. Whenever you arrive it's at the right temp inside. We tow a little 4-cylinder car that gets 30+ mpg. I highly recommend an economical toad to go sightseeing with, grocery runs, get water, etc. as its much more economical to operate, and get into tight parking spaces than a big MH.

I watched a bunch of your motorcycle videos, we have the Winnebago version of this RV. I added a 2 inch riser under the drivers seat, made driving a lot more comfortable. I pull one of several trailers, full of motorcycles. Your KLX is about perfect to bring a long.

As a fellow motorcyclist that travels to do events and fun rides with and without my family this was a great video. We have a 2021 forest river 178bhsk travel trailer and a half ton truck. We love our travel trailer for the trips but i'm not going to lie that the pre trip prep and post trip pre storage work is a lot and i run into a payload capacity issue with two bikes, generator, and 12 gallons of gas plus other gear and with full fresh tanks since most events are boondocking. Would love to put my double hitch carrier on a class c and go.

11:24 Yep, there is a lot more setup with a TT, including unhooking the tow rig from the trailer.
I've been a truck camper person since 2009, it's also a lot faster and easier to set up than a TT.... but like with a motorhome, I also lose the ability to go places unless I tear down camp and pack up.
Every few years I debate about doing something other than a truck camper, but I keep sticking with it because for the most part, it works best for my motorcycle camping trips.
On the flip side, I have gone through multiple travel trailers while also owning the truck camper, but I give up on them and sell them.

yeah Sony makes nice a head unit (XAV-AX6000 Digital Multimedia Receiver) Android auto, and as a suggestion maybe should get a tow bar installed on the back of the camper van so you can pull a small inclosed trailer with a bike or two inside.

Personally, I find a full size truck with a 6.5 foot bed or larger and a trailer to be the best - as I like the flexibility of unhitching and exploring with the truck plus you can carry dirt bikes and gear in the truck's bed.
