I like how to robe is printed because it kinda plays into the idea that it’s raining and the robe is soaked and pressed against him instead of flowing in the breeze
Great review man! Very excited for this set. The gaps between the body and wings are very unfortunate though. I'd probably just use the r4 body space for the radar and hood, considering that r4 isn't even a full droid in episode 2. And thanks so much for the Kamino shout-out!!! I sincerely appreciate it. I'll be buying many of this set for my moc.
True, R4 really had it cosy in there. He was all snuggled in and didn't want to come out.

Real unfortunate about the gap and amount of stickers. I think we're going to see some really great moc amends to this set that people will hopefully be able to do relatively inexpensively.

This set looks awesome, and I’m so excited for the Taun We figure. I also love that Obi-Wan’s main face is basically his “visible confusion” face from that one Kamino scene XD

I really wish that Lego would abandon stickers and only put in printed pieces. They know this is what fans want and they have said as much in interviews with their designers. Considering how much the price has risen there is no justification for not putting a bit more money into these custom pieces. Also no back printing on the R2 unit is not okay in my opinion.
I am so incredibly excited for this set. Obviously the Kaminion being it is awesome but the set and obi wan both look great as well! Always love getting episode 2 sets.

The fighter looks fantastic. The new Obi-Wan is great. R4 is back and the Kamioňanka figure succeeded. For me, probably the third best set from this wave

Wished it was a little sleeker, streamlined, and arrowed and pointy. The inclusion of the Astro feature whilst fun and practical really limits the aesthetics of the set. Either way, it’s still nice, and the figures are perfect.
I’ve built it and rebuilt it several times and there’s no way to make it look super accurate because of the droid. If if didn’t need to fit in the body it’d look fine
Why is lego selling preorders at an inflated price while retailers sell it for 30? I think $30 is already overpriced as we've had a very similar set with Anakin for $20 just a few years ago. Kaminoan hiking the price by $15 doesn't cut it. But I need to give praise for printing on obi-wan. They got the leg printing to match the chest colour, finally!

The Obi Wan's Jedi Starfighter looks spectacular, mostly because of the Taun We figure. I don't own a 2017 Obi Wan Jedi Starfighter with the hyperdrive, so this should be a good set. I like it!
Yeah it definitely looks better IRL than on the box. At first I didn't like it, but it's growing on me for sure. Can't wait to get it and display alongside my OG 2002 Jedi Starfighter.
I always just replace the green/blue studs with black/grey ones depending on the color of the stud shooter. Gives a nice full cannon look.
looked at the original model for the ship and it looks like the new one has far better shaping in general, even though it looks very similar. huge step up. lego has really improved their techniques and build quality since 2016. I honestly think the stickers look really good
This is the set I am most excited for in this wave. The build takes me back to my time building the original version from 2002.
I found this set at walmart the other day and it was an instant buy for me. I've wanted an Aethersprite for forever, but always manage to miss them. After building it, I have to say I really love this set. It's actually one of my favorite LEGO sets I own now. The silhouette it probably the most accurate one the Aethersprite has ever got, and the build is so, so solid. It's built like a brick and feels like you could probably chuck it at a wall without losing any pieces.
The gaps are present, but I don't know, they don't really bother me like they seem to some people. I just kind'a look past them at the overall shape of the ship, which is beautiful. Probably helps that the gaps sit right on the seam between the red and white colors, so it sort'a blends in unless you're trying to see it. It's also really easy to fix by just adding a couple of white 2x6 flats to the underside. Honestly odd LEGO didn't just include a couple. I also feel the stickers are completely unnecessary. All the basic colors are present and it looks totally fine without them.
Overall I feel it's absolutely worth the $30 price point. For 282 pieces and three minifigs that really is right about right, and with the price of LEGO sets going up it's actually a good deal I think.
didn't Anakin's starfighter fill those gaps using plates with rails? It seems odd that they would regress on something like that

Was on the fence with this since I'm starting to buy less star wars but Jedi starfighters are nostalgic for me. The first Lego set I got was Anakin's starfighter from the clone wars. I really like how you can hide the astromechs body, hate having astromech bodies around the room 😂
4:27 That's actually a classic move I remember Grevious's ship doing the same for all 4 of his lightsabers.
It was a fine addition to my collection.
Oh wow this is early, Definitely a day 1 pick up for me, I will probably remove the stud shooters though. So hyped to get a Kaminoan minifigure!! 😍
Tbh I am excited for it! Mod it a little and it'll have huge potential, fix the gaps and add proper landing gear and squeeze some LEDs into the engines would make this set so amazing!

I’m hoping to use Obi Wan’s robes from this set with the Kenobi head and hairpiece from the Inquisitor set to help match Obi Wan’s look from the later half of his show. I’m not sure if it’ll look good or not but we’ll see.
Or the one from the darth Vader vs kenobi set that’s coming out

The sticker disease continues, there's that odd gap between the wings and the R4 is not printed on both sides. So the set is the Kenobi and Kamino figures, with the overprice....meh.
I'm just excited to get it without the ring, I wanted the 2017 Version but I couldn't justify the price for that darn ring, definitely picking this set up.
While I agree with the complaints about the gaps, it makes it very similar to the most recent version of Anakin’s starfighter, which is the only other Jedi starfighter I own.
I've been waiting for this. Keep up the good work, been watching the channel for about 8 years now, never disappointed.
I’m def gonna buy this set and the new ATTE. I mostly buy remake sets for the figures. Whatever parts I don’t use end up as spares for my MOCs and older sets.
very excited for this set but the gaps are actually really fixable and would only add a couple more peices, but otherwise it’s smaller and sleeker which really fits the design. nice review!
Lego really should make collector series minifig scale ships. Like a set like this with all printed pieces , no play features like missiles. Give us a new jango give us arm and back prints. Like wouldnt people pay the price knowing why the set cost so much to make? People would easily pay like $80.

Just got this set on discount yesterday, the gaps bug me along with the ungodly amount of stickers. Also the stud launchers were out immediately, just ended up just using the crimson covering for the launchers and moving them up a little bit so its more in line with episode 2.

The head mold for the Kaminoans is the level of effort that the Na'vi needed for the Avatar line...

@@joelg5823 the legs and arms are new prints not new molds. The tails are pre-existing too. The head molds are pretty awful, they look like knock-offs and I'm not alone in thinking that. Leakers and even Jang Bricks agrees. I love avatar and was hyped got for the sets but the detail on Taun We for the 3d head mold is what the Na'vi should have had.
The mini figures are well worth the price tag. Looking like the pick of the obi wan sets
You know it’s not a bad set at all. For $30 USD you get what Star Wars usually offers at that price. Stickers are whatever it’s a small mass produced model kit.
Unless LEGO starts using solely prints for UCS sets I don’t expect them to start printing for smaller sets anytime soon except junior.
By the day it release, it will be 35 dollar. This set was part of price increase list.

Stickers suck, but the gap can probably be fixed fairly easily with rail pieces or something similar. You really can't beat the price though.
This is actually a pretty solid set. It’s not the most exciting build, but the minifigs are fantastic. It’s still probably my least anticipated set of the wave, but that’s saying a lot since this is an overall phenomenal wave.
The radar dish pieces need to be the spare parts that Kenobi releases being chased by Jango Fett.
They should have attached those long 1 by 24 plates (not exactly sure if the length, this is a guess) on the bottom of those wings that have the small extension on one side to fill in that gap. That would have been much better.

The gaps were so large that when I finished building the first wind I genuinely thought I made a mistake
the second clip underneath is definitely for the radar dish. Maybe not the most effective choice but still is has to be for that
Surely lego could've put those modified plates with slides to at least make the gap a bit less obvious, it wouldn't break the bank for lego lol

another thing I found weird is the nose, half of it as plates, the previous with a smooth long wedge piece looked way better

75191 is a little bit of an underrated set. It's not perfect but it's such a good display from a few feet. I've got this one pre-ordered but it might be a keep sealed situation for me.

You could probably fix the caps by replacing some bricks with the 1x2 rail plates
I still think the og one form 02 looks the most accurate to the in universe thing. The whole cockpit area sits way to high and is too bulky on the new ones.

I just built this set. Those 14 stickers were such a pain.. I only messed up all of them at least once.

Oof those gaps are pretty bad
But what gives me hope is that people will probably make instructions on how you can fix that gap so this gives me confidence. I missed out on the 2016 version... I use to have the OG version but that got thrown away long ago, but the Jedi Starfighter is still one of my favorite ships so I'm pretty excited.

I would move the radar down on r-4s head since in clone wars there was a suction cup on the droids head in one episode

I'm hoping that the absence of a Jango Fett Minifigure is an indication that Lego might finally make another Jango Fett's Slave 1 and honestly this would've been the perfect year to do it with it being the 20-year anniversary of Attack of the Clones, but maybe there's still a chance

Personally my biggest problem with this set is the size it feels a fair bit to large for what it is it should be a fair bit shorter mabye then we could've gotten a jengo fet in this set
It would have been nice to have a Storage area like the one with extra parts in the movie.
I feel like I would probably like want maybe this set to be like a different scale to me it is kind of like a four plus size set size and the only reason I never get this set is for the Minifigures
