Being a bulls fan from 1988-1998 was dope it so great and I studied them so much it help me alot with my game. I will continue study the greatest team ever!!!
Yes... It was 😊 I actually watched and recorded this game on VHS from channel 36 which was Sports Channel Chicago with Tom Dore and Johnny Red Kerr calling the game. The 1997 draft class was by in large the last class that played and respected the game. The NBA is unrecognizable now
By far one of my favorite interviews ever.he sooo unselfish "When im out there with michael i let him have the spotlight" a player of his calibur is willing to be under someone else is truely amazing. And this is a dude who could average 30 but ok with the 21pts per game.Scottie pippen i tip my hat to you.Favorite player.
This was an awesome Bulls team. They were on a mission to win the championship and no one was going to stand in their way. You also have to look at how talented that Orlando Magic team was with Oneal, Hardaway and co. Was a fun time to watch the NBA.
Niczer0 I have a lot of reasons for why I think its possible but I can summarize it pretty well by asking, do you think MJ would have won as many rings as he did without Pippen? And do you think Pippen could have won some rings without Jordan. I wouldn't be surprised if MJ only won 3 rings without Pippen. And I could see Pippen winning a few rings on his own . The only difference is Pippen might have still been a second option somewhere else whereas MJ was always the number 1 option.
Onlyrealmusic4life Lol the better question is do you think Pippen would have won any rings at all if there was no Jordan. I mean Jordan won ALL SIX Finals MVPs, not the other way around. The fair comparison is their overall impact, don't just nit pick certain areas, and obviously Jordan's OVERALL impact was the main reason they won so many championships.
+Niczer0 Nah, Jordan was the media and NBA darling. Pippen deserved the MVP in the 1st finals against the Lakers. W out Pippen disrupting Magic, Scott, and Worthy. Remember Defense wins championships but is often overlooked to the glitz and glamour of scoring. There are many scorers in this game but not many Elite defenders with effective offense. Jordan was elite on D and O too but not as capable of stopping as many Lakers that first championship. I think it was close for both the Jazz championships as well. the flu game is what made Jordan win it that year and the other year if Pippen didn't pull his back and miss a lot of minutes I think he would've deserved that one too. The first one though should have been Pippen or at least co-mvp's
At 1:32 you see one of the quickest change of pace moves you'll ever see from anyone. Jordan was 33 years old here and he explodes in the blink of an eye past Anderson, leaving him flat-footed. I remember being amazed by this play when I saw it when the game originally aired.
If that Magic team would have stayed together this would have been a really fun Eastern Conference playoff series for the next few years after this. Bulls still probably would have won but the Magic were capable.
The funny thing is in regard to all the comparisons that this 72-10 Bulls team gets vs the Warriors is that the Magic in a way was a version of the Warriors of today because they we're run and gun team with big time talent and all-star power and we're loaded so this magic team does parallel a lot the Warriors team of today and gives you a pretty good idea of how things would turn out if they met.
Good point. But look at these Bulls, damn they can shoot from downtown if and when they want also. I don't see GS shutting this offense down in any way.
In 95-96 before scottie had injuries afffect his play he was shooting the ball really well also he was'nt differing to jordan at all and taking over games with his scoring.
MJ said it best during his HOF induction - in those videos when you saw me, you saw Scottie Pippen - he and Scottie completed each other on the court - every award, every title won by MJ has a big Scottie Pippen factor in it - when we lived those 90's games, it was clear that Scottie was the team leader while MJ was the team star....
+jer bo MJ would abuse Klay! He would drive past him on every play. Or get him with the up and under. They wouldn't even think about having Curry guard him. But then Pippen would wreck havoc in the passing lanes. Lol!
Chuck Daly (R.I.P) loved him some Scottie Pippen lol. It's ironic how big a fan he was of Pippen considering how the Pistons used to beat the shit out of him in those playoff series when the Bulls were trying to get over the hump. I wonder how much Daly's coaching had to do with that.
@cenecadent pippen actually has a better offensive arsenal than lebron, low post,hi post, rebounds, better 3 point percentage, runs the point better...basically an all round better player and higher basketball iq than lebron.
The Bulls owned everyone that year...The Magic gave the Bulls their first loss of the season and that was without Shaq, so they did get to at least get one little jab in there.
I miss this basketball era (the GOLDEN AGE era) where even the interviewers have something intelligent to say and the response by the players is more than 5 words or more. Nothing like a soap opera drama of who's mad at who and flopping. lol
How awkward was it for Scottie sitting next to Chuck Daly? I know Chuck gushed over him during the game, but I know all those battles with Detroit made Scottie feel some way. I just realized that Scottie played for him on the Dream Team in 1992. So they probably squashed a lot of their problems. Chuck & MJ even became pretty close after that experience.
Daly went so far as to say Pippen was the best player on the Dream Team (his quote not mine!) - "I remember talking to the late Chuck Daly after that 1992 Dream Team and Daly raving about Pippen. Daly said he knew Pippen was a potential MVP candidate type player, but said Pippen was the best player on the 1992 team. “I know Michael’s the best player, but Pippen was the best player on that team,” admired Daly." DALY LOVED Pippen's game...
Is there anything scottie pippen cant do, the answer is no, even his interview he took no credit instead shared it with his teammates, scottie pippen the ultimate all-star without him there are no rings because no other all-star would accept the sidekick role the way he not only accepted but thrived in, need a steal, block, charge taken, defensive stop, offensive rebound putback big basket pip is the guy
Until now , I still don’t know why .? Chicago Bull should have nominated Scottie p for MVP of the year , MJ can’t make a championship without Scottie P , they were the best team ever,
@cenecadent Yea it would be interesting to watch. Scottie was a better defender than LeBron, and Lebron may be a better scorer (but the PPG are skewed since Pip played w/MJ and LeBron with nobody til last year). Scottie was probably quicker and more agile but LeBron has more bulk. Scottie's defense would definitely mess with LeBron's offensive game a lot, plus Scottie had a reliable 18-footer that LeBron doesn't - deny LeBron the rim and he tends to jack 3s.
The Bulls went on to sweep the Magic in the Playoffs the same year. A little revenge from last years lost to them. Do u guys remember Grant taunting them on the Bulls home court. This was an unbelievable season for sure.
Come on guys, I love pippen but better or more important than mj??? You guys do know the uploaders name is Scottie pippen 33 or some shit. Of course he posts all the good shit about pippen
Magic were more fun to watch, these Bulls highlights are boring. Only one Penny play? Must've made MJ and Pippen silly a number of times., and Shaq is no longer there, Hardaway's knees already ruined and still played great
This guy Pippen is sooooo underated. He can shoot, he can pass, he can crash the boards. This guy has no weakness. Great upload and channel.
Pippen is my fav player. But I dont think underrated is the right term. He is in the top 50 players of all time and a hall of famer.
Underrated no, underpaid by the Bulls yes
@@randalldecker335 he underrated for simplet fact Jordan pampering undermine him
his only problem is he's a little bitch and lost his mind talking shit about Jordan because of jealousy and envy
That's why he's my favorite Player ever.
Being a bulls fan from 1988-1998 was dope it so great and I studied them so much it help me alot with my game. I will continue study the greatest team ever!!!
That scottie pippens spin moved, beutiful to watch.
Just imagine being a Bulls fan, living in Chicago during the '90s. Time of your f*cking life, I bet.
Yes... It was 😊 I actually watched and recorded this game on VHS from channel 36 which was Sports Channel Chicago with Tom Dore and Johnny Red Kerr calling the game. The 1997 draft class was by in large the last class that played and respected the game. The NBA is unrecognizable now
Best team ever. I loved Dennis in this team.
He could very well avg 30 if he really wants to. I was a big fan of his actualy more than MJ.
He's mine too bro... If he shot more he'd definitely be top 10 but he's still top 20 all-time
This was an awesome Bulls team. They were on a mission to win the championship and no one was going to stand in their way. You also have to look at how talented that Orlando Magic team was with Oneal, Hardaway and co. Was a fun time to watch the NBA.
Thank you Scottie!! Can't find a skill you have not perfected. I have huge respect and admiration for you.
PiP ... most exinting player to watch ...
Like Chuck said in 92 Dream Team ... Pippen is the most talented player in that roster
Pippen was the MVP this season even MJ said it doing the season pip could do everything!!!!
This was probably Pip's best season, but to say he was the MVP of the team? Come on, man. .
Pip was a beast
I loved the mics on TNT and NBC back in the day...they picked up everything.
Hey Scottie33Pippen,,,,I very much appreciate you taking time out to edit all these old great games and post 'em.....
RIP Chuck Daly!
Awesome post game interview with Scottie! They don't do em like they used to...
I think Pippen was as important, if not more in ways, as Michael Jordan to the Bull's success. The guy could do everything.
Onlyrealmusic4life more? rly? cmon dude...
+Onlyrealmusic4life
Lol, Pippen was important but you're nuts if you think he was more important than MJ.
@3:22 Pippen leading 3 on 1 break with Jordan and Kukoc on the wings.... nightmare defense scenario? LOL
Probably a good time to fake an injury.
Probably a good time to fake an injury. Lol!
Penny Haradaway just gave it to them.🤣😂 No Challenge
If you dont believe Chuck Daly then theres no hope for you. Hats off to Scottie for being so modest. Scottie!!!!!1
Best team in history
At 1:32 you see one of the quickest change of pace moves you'll ever see from anyone. Jordan was 33 years old here and he explodes in the blink of an eye past Anderson, leaving him flat-footed. I remember being amazed by this play when I saw it when the game originally aired.
and pippen would have crazy stats under today's rules in a nba without centers.not to mention the game level of that era either.
😂
If that Magic team would have stayed together this would have been a really fun Eastern Conference playoff series for the next few years after this. Bulls still probably would have won but the Magic were capable.
Steve Stevensteverson Very good statement....
Not after that series sweep😂🤣
The funny thing is in regard to all the comparisons that this 72-10 Bulls team gets vs the Warriors is that the Magic in a way was a version of the Warriors of today because they we're run and gun team with big time talent and all-star power and we're loaded so this magic team does parallel a lot the Warriors team of today and gives you a pretty good idea of how things would turn out if they met.
I will say though in all fairness to the Magic they we're without Shaq and their real Achilles heel was that they had no decent back up center.
Good point. But look at these Bulls, damn they can shoot from downtown if and when they want also. I don't see GS shutting this offense down in any way.
In 95-96 before scottie had injuries afffect his play he was shooting the ball really well also he was'nt differing to jordan at all and taking over games with his scoring.
They were so sharp this season. The fact they almost went back to back 70 wins the following year blows my mind
How smooth was Pip's fast break dunk at 3:25? He jumped from the dots too.
Bulls on that era is unbeatable...full of experience mostly of all player..they know how to win they trust each other..
Penny's post up game was beautiful.
At 5:28
"Get that shit outta here Dennis"- Pippen
ahahahaha
Basketball on tbs takes me back.
These boys would MURDER Golden State.
+Tee Raw Ha ha! You didn't know?
+Tee Raw could you imagine klay trying to stop MJ?!?!?! bahhahahaha
+jer bo MJ would abuse Klay! He would drive past him on every play. Or get him with the up and under. They wouldn't even think about having Curry guard him. But then Pippen would wreck havoc in the passing lanes. Lol!
Sweep!!
big time
Chuck Daly (R.I.P) loved him some Scottie Pippen lol. It's ironic how big a fan he was of Pippen considering how the Pistons used to beat the shit out of him in those playoff series when the Bulls were trying to get over the hump. I wonder how much Daly's coaching had to do with that.
@4:38 Penny backing up crossover MJ
@cenecadent pippen actually has a better offensive arsenal than lebron, low post,hi post, rebounds, better 3 point percentage, runs the point better...basically an all round better player and higher basketball iq than lebron.
Yup!!! I like to hear all those trash talk and conversation on the court.
Michael, like Scottie, both knew how to handle interviews in a classy manner. I like that.
The best team ever Chicago bulls
The Bulls owned everyone that year...The Magic gave the Bulls their first loss of the season and that was without Shaq, so they did get to at least get one little jab in there.
Just look at Pippen at 03:43
back when both offense and defense are intense
I miss this basketball era (the GOLDEN AGE era) where even the interviewers have something intelligent to say and the response by the players is more than 5 words or more. Nothing like a soap opera drama of who's mad at who and flopping. lol
Pip could have averaged these numbers if he wanted to.
wt you didnt watch the game?
The Title says Bulls vs Magic. It was a great close game, but You didn't show a single Orlando Play.
+Ruben Ibarra I don't think Daily ever said take anyone out of the game. That was isaiah voice.
Daly went so far as to say Pippen was the best player on the Dream Team (his quote not mine!) - "I remember talking to the late Chuck Daly after that 1992 Dream Team and Daly raving about Pippen. DALY LOVED Pippen's game...
did anyone else seen Mj crossover Horace Grant at 4:53
Is there anything scottie pippen cant do, the answer is no, even his interview he took no credit instead shared it with his teammates, scottie pippen the ultimate all-star without him there are no rings because no other all-star would accept the sidekick role the way he not only accepted but thrived in, need a steal, block, charge taken, defensive stop, offensive rebound putback big basket pip is the guy
Penny owned Mike @ 4:38.
Until now , I still don’t know why .? Chicago Bull should have nominated Scottie p for MVP of the year , MJ can’t make a championship without Scottie P , they were the best team ever,
@cenecadent Yea it would be interesting to watch. I miss the bulls the NBA sucks today
HAHAHAHAH pip telling scott at 5.30 mark get that shit out off here dennis ..ROFL
The Bulls went on to sweep the Magic in the Playoffs the same year. A little revenge from last years lost to them. Do u guys remember Grant taunting them on the Bulls home court. This was an unbelievable season for sure.
