Just want every one here to take a second to stop and realize how lucky we are. In the 90s when I started playing guitar I never would get the opportunity to even meet a Nashville recording artist. To have guys like GT and uncle Larry making these videos is GOLDEN! ❤
Uh, yeah! I knew that, and I certainly DON'T take it for granted. I remember learning in the 80s, when there was no Internet, no YT, so yeah! I've learned lots of theory in the past 2 years, since I've been tagging a guitar teacher, and since I discovered GT I've learned lots of techniques! Mostly I can't play like him, but I can keep working at it.
American, veteran, wheelchair user, new Telecaster player =) I live in the Philippines now. just did a search for telecaster player and you popped up. So very cool. I love youtube. Thanks for what you are doing man!
Hello from Poland, dear friend! Few people from our part of Europe are aware of these amazing Nashville cats like Guthrie. This should change! All the best and I hope the fuc*ing war will be over very soon. Take care!
Guthrie, I don’t say this lightly, the main focus of my brain since I was about 10 years old has been guitar. I love listening to people play. You’ve become the one that I enjoy listening to most. I think you just may be the best around.
That is a perfect amplifier. It is the sound I hear in my head but can't seem to get with my Fender amps. It's beefy but with nice clarity and richness. I live 30 minutes west of Portland, Maine. We have five acres on a dead-end road. It is rural and beautiful. We can see the milky way. I've bow hunted deer on my own land. My wife and I have made this a small homestead, with lots of gardens, small pond, and a small barn. The house is a small timber frame we built with a lot of help. In other words, we live in paradise. We go to Portland, Biddeford and Saco for great food, yet have quiet solitude, wild life, and beauty all around us daily.
Living in a car in Spain. Staying at some beautiful beaches in the country side these days. Got an acoustic guitar a Strat, a Tele and a Vibro Champ. Lightspeed and a silver ODR 1 ❤ Big solar panel on the roof, but no solar battery. Money is absent at the moment 🙄 So, acoustic is king! Saludos ✌🏼
Hey GT, I live on the Gold Coast in Australia. Been a mad surfer all my life. I have spent as many hours in the water as you have on the guitar I imagine, hence the need to catch up now that I surf a little less. I spent more that 20 years in France and am now back in Oz. Your videos help me keep the grey matter moving as well as bringing joy. Thanks again!
My wife and I are native New Yorkers (NYC). Now 20 minutes north of NYC but looking to get further out anow that the kids are grown. I get your take on living way out off the beaten path, might not be ready for that but definitely ready for more space and quieter neighborhood - As long as I have fast internet and can get your videos and not too far from where you're playing, I'll be happy. Love what you're doing and seeing you play live last week was a true highlight for me. You make the world a better (and more musical) place - All the best.
dude please don't kill me lol but I think the tone of your previous amp was better. Granted I'm not sitting in the room but through the video the princeton(?) sounded better to my ears. Thank you for all of your content. I feel like like my playing has improved 10x and the way I approach the instrument has completely changed. THANKS man 🤘
Guthrie I’ve watched you for years and you sound better on that amp than I’ve ever heard you… and that’s saying something cause you always sound amazing.
Southeast KY here GT on the wild Rockcastle River. So far out you can't see the glow lol our little piece of Heaven. Come on up and hang by the fire next time your close!!!
I am on the west coast of Vancouver Island Canada almost as far south as you can go. Beautiful wild ocean trails and great kayaking. Practicing full time on the guitar and with your help little light bulbs are starting to go off. Thanks so much for sharing,
It's so fun to hear you play through something you aren't typically playing through. You pulled out all the stops on this one! Brings out some serious creativity.... as if you aren't creative enough. 😅🙏🙏🙏 Thank you so much for sharing with us, GT!! Peanut butter and all!! 😋
GT I live in the middle of 70 acre corn 🌽 patch Got raised beds & 6000 square foot garden We can all our vegetables in mason jars We get our beef locally Water well It’s so healthy in many ways I drive 35 miles to my gigs It’s totally worth it You’re a bad ass !!❤️😎🎸
Rochester NY ,in the "1st level suburbs " like what was the suburbs 50 yrs ago so the City is at the end of my Street ,single family home . That Benson sounds great ! Love the Benson stuff , all of it .
I live in Cashmere Washington Guthrie. We are the top producer of apples & pears in all of the 50 states. Love your channel no body beats your playing.
I live about thirty miles north of downtown Detroit,,,two more minutes north I can be looking at cows ,barns and farmers, its a great mix,a lake within walking distance in all four directions , I'm blessed to be here,,,,except the winters are cold and long, but no matter where one lives, there are drawbacks, Thankfully I can drive down to Nashvillke a couple times a year and enjoy it. I no longer go down to south Broadway, as have over the years found the secret places to see some great musicians and great music. Always remember " the grass always looks greener on the other side of the street " I always come the week of thanksgiving,,,,,see you soon !
Hey, GT, I'm 66 now and have lived in a few places. Grew up a bare footed kid in the 60s on the edge of Bakersfield. Worked and then lived on the farm down by the Grapevine. Moved to the city for 10 years, then got lucky and got kind of suburban with Redwoods and kids riding bikes. Now live with a redwood or two outside the bathroom window and oaks around the barn, where there's a Magnatone and more guitars than I deserve up in the hayloft/studio. Listening to GT from East Nashville every chance I get. With NO reason to ever complain and NO reason for anything to get to me. You have an open invitation, any time you're north of the Golden Gate.
I live in Perez Zeledon, Costa Rica which is a country town about four bus hours south of the capital city, San Jose. Originally built a house out in the country about m10 miles from here, but needed to move closer to the schools for the kids. Love the Benson sound. Sounds like a great tone master.
Hi from Qualicum Beach, a small town on the east coast of Vancouver Island. Lots of music and a good scene around here. Thanks for all the great videos!!👍❤
I live in Camarillo, California…in the suburbs 45 miles north of LA. Love the vibe; you and Buk are irreplaceable! Thanks for all the guitar schooling…keep it up!
East coast of Canada Cape Breton Nova Scotia , I have been following you since your true fire lessons , my wife and have been to Nashville the last two vacations and mist you and uncle Larry by just a day or two but we are going to take another shot at it again in 25 , you guys are putting out amazing content Tks so much
Hi Guthrie i live in Zürich biggest City of Switzerland and most expensive in Europe. Grew up here and it was not allways like this, times changed since the 80s. We have also a really small Appartment in the Black Forest South Germany where the air is really good in contrast to the City. So glad you do this, as Uncle Larry and Bret. Continue beeing as you are, you are just you not fake here, real guitar real music real unprocessed human, this is what i see and love about this chanel. Thanks Man soo soo mutch for sharing it to the world, as allways GT Peace
What a great amp! "not my bag of styles", but you're killing it! What an awesome sound! To answer your question, I'm from The Netherlands. I live in a city next to The Hague, always lived in the city. After living in an apartment I now live in a 'normal' house (with garden), it's a block of 5 houses. Pretty much near the center, train station in walking distance. But also pretty quiet for living in the city. Definetely not in the country. As I get older I get your feeling that it might be something for me, later in my life. With two young kids (1 an 4), my current place is pretty convenient.
Greetings and thanks from Finland! I live in the countryside, but in an apartement about 120km north of Helsinki. So far I think I'm the most northern here. Russia is only about 200km away so that's nice...😂
Thank you so much for charging Guthrie. It’s open up so much for me on playing the guitar and theory, that all the years of trying to understand theory through books and teacher never could. CADGE finally got me seeing the neck. You also inspire me to play. So yeah.. thanks. Since you’re asking I’m not in the neighbourhood. Following from Stockholm Sweden. 🥳👍
Hi Mr GT, live on a small ranch out in Central rural Oregon, nearest town is "The Dalles". As i have gotten older, love being rural, but there is the downside that there are so few musicians and music venues nearby. Part of the reason your channel is such a god-send.
Small village in rural England. I’ve lived in cities, and it always felt temporary. Here I feel rooted. I made my main guitar from trees which grew near my house.
I live in urban Chicago, happy to hear you may be coming this way. Man, a few videos ago, you said if you can have just one amp, have a Delux Reverb. I had been looking at some boutique amps, but I have a Delux and a 10-watt Henriksen clean amp. That video saved me a lot of money.
20:25 - Fantastic advice! Yesterday, I tried really hard to talk myself into GG American Custom Charvel… then I realized what was happening, then boxed it up to ship back on Monday.
Hi Guthrie. I am listening here from Germany, in a suburb from Nuremberg. I'm a music enthusiast, playing in a band, and doing a monthly radio show on the internet. Where I like playing yours and Buks stuff. Cheers from Nuremberg to Nashville😊
Really enjoying what you're putting out, thank you so much! I lived in some cities when I was younger: Dallas, Denver & Salt Lake City. For the last 30+ years I've been living in the middle of nowhere: 4 corners USA, hope to finish up here. You're on the right track, keep up the strong work. Inspirational stuff. 🙏❤
GT we live downtown in a small mill town in NC. Has been a chill place forever. The city council is intent on fcking it up completely. There are 4 historic homes on my dead-end street. The town is going to build 130 apartments at the end of the street. There are hundreds of other apartments going up all over the place. Traffic is becoming a mess. I love our home. It’s one of the first homes built here and we have put a lot of time and money and so on it. But I am thinking at some point we are going to move back to VA to the mountains. There is no longer any leadership or common sense in government at any level. Thanks as always. Nice amp. Your playing keeps getting better and better which doesn’t seem possible at your level. Wow.
I'm from the countryside, now living in a small village just south of Aalesund, Norway. You ofcourse always play great, but in this video you clearly were really inspired, rockin' it. Great playing, I love that blues-rock grit.
Hali from Fort Worth TX, but also have small parcels of land in Broken Bow, Oklahoma!! Obviously would love to spend more time in the country!! Picking away..🎉
Raised in Manhattan, I live in Pasadena, CA now, but work has me in Atlanta for the last few years living for 6 - 10 months at a stretch in an apartment. I drove down to Nashville in August to see one of the shows with you and Uncle Larry at 3rd and Lindsley. Love your videos and little Tommy Buk’s, too!
Hey GT I live on Cape Cod,MA. Spend winters in S FLA. it’s busy in both places. I hear you man….we just did the drive from MA thru PA,WV,Ky, TN. currently in AL. The country is SO peaceful. We drove 90% backroads in the last 13 days. What a great place to live. Thx for all the lessons. BTW the band that plays with you at the UD is AMAZING. The bass player is incredible!
Far west suburbs of Chicago. I used to live in the city when I was a young and wild twenty something. I've played at the Music Garage in Chicago (practice space). I'm a singer and a song writer and always inspired by your ability and your tone.
Love it. Amp sounds good! Man, I'm originally from Memphis. I lived and played there for a while? I lived all over there mostly downtown and midtown. North and South . I like the country, but always been in the city really? I am In Nashville now. I was over near Jefferson Sound Studio but now I'm over near Fessler Lane exit. It's been pretty cool . Have as good one . Harold Ramis is a great director! Caddyshack ... Fast Times.. Stripes and Superbad. He had some good soundtracks in those movies too! Keep Up The Great Music. Respect 💯🎵🙏
Thank you Guthrie for your videos and sharing your awesome playing. You and Uncle Larry are the 2 guitarists I can't stop listening to, so glad I bought your In Stereo record. To answer your question I live on the 5th floor in an appartment in a small town in eastern France on the french-german border. Thank you again for everything !
Living in beautiful Tuscarawas County Ohio. Vast view from my hilltop. Isolation but 2 1/2 miles from town. Peace and serenity and your music. Stop here and stay as long as you like.
The amp sounds great. I want one of those Headstrong Lil Kings. I already have the Santa Cruz. Guthrie, if I drive up from Tupelo I want you to sign my old Tele.
I live just north of Boston half the year and down by the water in Rhode Island in the summer. Love your videos! I’ve learned so much, even more than your TrueFire videos in some respect. Looking forward to your new course.
My brother has one of those amps. I have a Morgan PR12 in an oversized cab which is 12 watt and has a greenback in it. Even at that low wattage this thing will blow the place out I wanted it to. That Benson sounds fuller and clearer than with the Princeton. I’m listening on a good sized Bose Bluetooth so not just the phone speakers.
I live about 3o minutes NW of Lincoln, NE in a small down of about 7,000. Nice quiet rural community that has everything I need. No need to go into Lincoln unless I want or need to. If you like to hang out on the back porch where you can see all the stars and not hear much of anything, the rural communities are where it's at.
You’re on fire today! Incredible playing, so soulful ❤. Loving you from Brighton, UK, on the South coast. Your videos are a real inspiration and make wanna play, and I’m improving thanks to you. Come and play in the UK😊
I live in St Pete, Florida so hit me up when your doing another Truefire session. A local shop does workshops with many of the artists going in there and it may be an easy gig for ya if schedules align.
Northern New Hampshire, Guthrie. Only an acre but overlooking a 50 acre cornfield. I’ll see you and the boys at the Bitter End on the 21st! Amp sounds great.
It ain’t the amp, GT - it’s you! You are amazing. I just got the In Stereo CD. I can’t stop playing it. Thanks for all your videos and all you do. Best to Uncle Larry as well.
Gainesville Florida. I play with a few local bands, but not professionally. I have fun with it and I try to stay true to your instruction. My sister lives off Old Hickory Blvd close to I65/ Brentwood. I'm originally from Estill Springs TN roughly 80 miles from Nashville and have lived close to Nashville/Franklin. Have a great weekend.
Hendersonville NC, not far from Brevard NC where I remember you said you have some fam. Thanks for everything GT, there is some great learnin' in everything you post. GT= Greatest Teacher!
Elizabethtown, KY here. 12 miles south of Ft Knox and 40 miles south of Louisville. Living right in the middle of town. My “the one” is a 1997 Martin D-18V. I bought it 19 years ago at the Nashville guitar show when it was down the road in Smyrna. I’m mostly a Bluegrasser and when i picked it up and strummed a G chord it was all over and I had to buy it.
OH SHIFTH!! Your Tele is courting the Benson!! You sound amazing!! You are motivated by its tone. Its you and your style!! Just throwing down the love on that fretboard!!! Buy it!!
I had a bad tube rattle issue with my Benson Monarch. I bought some tube dampers from Eurotube and it’s been perfect ever since. Chris B. actually said he recommends them for the tubes.
The Catskill Mountain area of Upstate NY. It used to be a pretty quiet small town but it’s not really like that anymore. Weekends are crazy around here. Anyway, Killer playing like always and the new amp sounds great.
I live in Ohio, I play for a country artist up here. Your videos inspire me to get better every day. Can’t wait to come back to Nashville and see the trio!
Great video as usual Guthrie. Tuning in from Northern Alberta, pretty relaxed place. Oil town. Tar sand city. I have tons of time off with my work schedule. I work half a year and the other half I play around with guitar. 👍 The perfect balance I think. Cheers.
I live in a beautiful village in the country just outside of Lincoln UK. Thanks GT for restoring my passion for the guitar and helping me look at this wonderful instrument in a fresh and totally inspiring way.
Hey GT, thanks for another video man! Yer new amp sounds killer. Can't wait to hear that gretsch through it. Always good to see your vids. From Brooksville, Florida. Stay safe, bud.
Im from Norway. But I've always liked your caps. Cheers. Also, you're doing some true wizardry on the guitar in this video. Keep improving your skills. Have a good one. 🍻
Hey Guthrie I'm another one of your biggest fans. Residing in Honolulu where I grew up. It's become a crowded big city. We used to refer to the north side of the island as "the country". This is where we would go in the winter to surf bigger waves and get away from the city. Still go out there to surf in the winter but it's really crowded now. Anyway I heard you say you and Billy Gibbons are planning to play at the Blue Note in Honolulu but I don't see you on the schedule yet. A lot of us would be really excited to see you make it over here. And when get here you should plan to visit Kauai for the country feeling that you will love.
I in the philly suburbs, I hope you guys come and play a show in Philadelphia. I’m in the same spot in my life where I’m looking for some mountain land to escape one day. My family is originally from the pa mountains, some are still up there. They moved down to the city for work in the 1950s. That land is in my heart, I need to get back there.
Just want every one here to take a second to stop and realize how lucky we are. In the 90s when I started playing guitar I never would get the opportunity to even meet a Nashville recording artist. To have guys like GT and uncle Larry making these videos is GOLDEN! ❤

No trolls because he isn't fake, and he doesn't endorse degeneracy like it's cool or something.

Absolutely crushing it
Sounds like the Waltons, seriously though, it sounds beautiful, hope you and yours are happy.
I live in Belo Horizonte, capital of Minas Gerais State, Brazil. Thanks so much for gifting us with your amazing musicianship!
Just outside St Louis in Illinois. House on farmland. Nothing but cornfields, but the area is growing. Thanks for the video, Guthrie.
Living in a car in Spain. Staying at some beautiful beaches in the country side these days.
Got an acoustic guitar a Strat, a Tele and a Vibro Champ. Lightspeed and a silver ODR 1 ❤
Big solar panel on the roof, but no solar battery. Money is absent at the moment 🙄
So, acoustic is king!
Saludos ✌🏼
Nice! Easy livin’
I’ve been using one of these exclusively since they came out. It’s AMAZING, as Bensons tend to be. 😊❤

Your advice on "having to talk yourself into it" translates to a whole mess of other things in life as well something ive tried to live by.
Indeed!
Hey GT im watching every episode from small village in Fryslan Netherlands, thanx for your lessons and your music

Small town of about 3500 in rural Iowa. Your channel is the best thing on UA-cam. Thanks!
6th generation Iowan here...couldn't live anywhere else. (hope the masses don't catch on:)
Wow, thanks!
Nice! Thanks for watching!
Wow.
That’s a shame! Thanks a bunch for watching and sharing.
I'm from the countryside, now living in a small village just south of Aalesund, Norway. You ofcourse always play great, but in this video you clearly were really inspired, rockin' it. Great playing, I love that blues-rock grit.
Thanks a bunch for sharing!!
Very cool! Thanks for sharing!
Small town of about 10k in Iowa. I know a lot of farmers, really great people and I think you’re right.
Love that!
Nice man! Thats awesome. Thanks a bunch for sharing.
Far west suburbs of Chicago. I used to live in the city when I was a young and wild twenty something. I've played at the Music Garage in Chicago (practice space).
I'm a singer and a song writer and always inspired by your ability and your tone.
Love your teaching. Greetings from the so called "French Quarter" in a small town in southern germany. Keep going!
Awesome! Thank you!
Respect 💯🎵🙏
Nice!! Thanks man
Dano and a benson. Unreal. Big bucks though. Had a Dano. Love it
Thank you Guthrie for your videos and sharing your awesome playing. You and Uncle Larry are the 2 guitarists I can't stop listening to, so glad I bought your In Stereo record. To answer your question I live on the 5th floor in an appartment in a small town in eastern France on the french-german border. Thank you again for everything !
Amazing!! Love that. It’s making me want travel more.
Living in beautiful Tuscarawas County Ohio. Vast view from my hilltop. Isolation but 2 1/2 miles from town. Peace and serenity and your music. Stop here and stay as long as you like.
It's an oasis. Will cook for you.
I live in San Jose, CA. The heart of Silicon Valley. We are high tech, but love Roots Music ❤
High tech red neck!
The amp sounds great. I want one of those Headstrong Lil Kings. I already have the Santa Cruz. Guthrie, if I drive up from Tupelo I want you to sign my old Tele.
I live in San Francisco in the sunset. But I feel yah, as far as getting some breathing room!
Nice!
Your videos bring me so much joy and inspiration Guthrie. Love you man! Greetings from Sofia, Bulgaria.
No, GT, you are NOT "insignificant" in the musical food chain!
But, i appreciate your humility.
You're as REAL as ppl say i am.
Thanks to sharing man! Benson and Morgan both good guys 👍
Love that!
You’re on fire today! Incredible playing, so soulful ❤. Loving you from Brighton, UK, on the South coast. Your videos are a real inspiration and make wanna play, and I’m improving thanks to you. Come and play in the UK😊
Wow, thank you!
Sounds killer! Haven't heard any Bensons in the flesh so this helps get to know the amp for me.
I live in St Pete, Florida so hit me up when your doing another Truefire session. A local shop does workshops with many of the artists going in there and it may be an easy gig for ya if schedules align.
Thanks!
@@bryansmith6865hope all is well after the storm down there.
Northern New Hampshire, Guthrie. Only an acre but overlooking a 50 acre cornfield. I’ll see you and the boys at the Bitter End on the 21st! Amp sounds great.
Awesome! Thanks man
It ain’t the amp, GT - it’s you! You are amazing. I just got the In Stereo CD. I can’t stop playing it. Thanks for all your videos and all you do. Best to Uncle Larry as well.
Glad you enjoy it!
Las vegas , NV checking in. would love to see you guys here !
Nice!
Nice man!
Minsk, Belarus. Tom, Guthrie and Jedd are the best! Subscribed to all of them.
Hendersonville NC, not far from Brevard NC where I remember you said you have some fam. Thanks for everything GT, there is some great learnin' in everything you post. GT= Greatest Teacher!
Nice! Thanks a bunch. My uncle that taught me lives in Brevard.
@@guthrietrappmusic GT would love to see your uncle on the chanel one Day! Or just to hear some story about him ;) thanks uncle Trapp!
Thanks brother from the little town of Lindsay Ontario Canada. We love you up here.
Thanks for watching!
Man that amp sounds glorious Guthrie and your playing is amazing and very top level for sure , inspiring to say the least bro 👍😎
Glad you like it!
Nice! Just up the road 👍
That’s great advice!! I’ll do that.
The Catskill Mountain area of Upstate NY. It used to be a pretty quiet small town but it’s not really like that anymore. Weekends are crazy around here.
Anyway, Killer playing like always and the new amp sounds great.
Im in Northern Ulster County..moved out of Weirdstock 10 years ago..🙄
Awesome! Thanks for sharing
i live in the suburbs in north NJ right across from Manhattan...2 weeks until Bitter End!!!!
Yes!
Always amazing and inspiring! I really enjoyed how you dipped into all the different genres!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I live in Ohio, I play for a country artist up here. Your videos inspire me to get better every day. Can’t wait to come back to Nashville and see the trio!
Awesome! Thanks man!
9:16-11:52 Man, I understand what you’re feeling when you say it’s not your normal bag but damn it sounds good.
Great video as usual Guthrie.
Tuning in from Northern Alberta, pretty relaxed place. Oil town. Tar sand city.
I have tons of time off with my work schedule. I work half a year and the other half I play around with guitar. 👍
The perfect balance I think.
Cheers.
Thanks for sharing!
I live in a beautiful village in the country just outside of Lincoln UK. Thanks GT for restoring my passion for the guitar and helping me look at this wonderful instrument in a fresh and totally inspiring way.
My pleasure! That’s awesome. Thanks a bunch!!
Hey GT, thanks for another video man! Yer new amp sounds killer. Can't wait to hear that gretsch through it. Always good to see your vids. From Brooksville, Florida. Stay safe, bud.
Thanks a bunch man!
Fng' Legit. Best I ever heard you play. You are in it.
Thanks man!
I am in the People's REPUBLIC of Brooklyn NY. I try to see you every time you come to the Bitter End !
Badass! Thanks man
I in the philly suburbs, I hope you guys come and play a show in Philadelphia. I’m in the same spot in my life where I’m looking for some mountain land to escape one day. My family is originally from the pa mountains, some are still up there. They moved down to the city for work in the 1950s. That land is in my heart, I need to get back there.
Nice! Thanks for sharing
Guthrie, you definitely 'played the amp' there, and made it speak! Sounded pretty great from a thousand miles away here in central CT.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Jacksonville, FL! Bout a mile from Atlantic Beach. Thanks, GT!
Nice!
Ive seen alot of your videos and the intro playing in this one ranks in the top 3.
