Make sure you keep yourself wrapped up warm when making these wonderful videos for us, Leslie. Oh, and don't forget to wear a hat!! All the very best to you.
hi Les another of your great video the weather was kind to you till the end when that fog came down we had it over here on the east coast as well im looking forward to you next video in that beautiful countryside please stay safe
Hi Les Another great video here, 67023 is a good catch without any fleetnames on, 4S52 and 4S57 looking empty again and Cl 70's always looking very 'weathered' (I guess the washing plant can't reach the sides, lol). I do like the 'atmospheric' shots around the station really shows the winter weather. Keep warm and safe out there Les. Thanks
I don't know how you manage to stay out there all day Les. I'd be going for a tea every 1/2 hour or so. Train spotting needs to be a summer pursuit for me now.
A fortune can be spent on new platform edges and platform surfaces but no-one is available to pull the weeds (now large plants) out from each end of the station, outside of the roof.
Thanks for sharing these videos, great to see what’s going on further north than my regular haunts around Tebay😊 Have you had a look at the progress at Petteril Bridge recently, it must be getting somewhere near re opening?
Another great video Les as always some excellent filming there my friend , well done hope you managed to keep warm , have they run out of class 92s then up scotland then for the sleepers ?. take care Les catch your next one, a t b .👍 Syd
You caught a lot of those TPE 397s... very nice. Is there a weather condition (outside of extreme heat) that does not work well with trains? They may not work well with the railfan/trainspotter, but even cold, bright days make some trains pop! Excellent video, and I hope you keep yourself warm enough out there!
With those 68s on the spray train are they working in multiple or is the back one always hauled dead? (Obviously at times they reverse direction so other leads).
Hi Les, I notice that at 15,11 there is a 156 unit lurking in Platform 5 when did that arrive, is it for trials when Petteril Bridge is repaired? Great Video as usual!
Thanks Mike. Not a trial. Each day theres usually an extra set from the coast services that would park in Collier Lane Siding behind the eastern wall. Northern have been putting them in 5 instead - not as far for the driver to walk lol
@@LeslieGilpinRailways Thanks for the heads up Les. I look forward to seeing the Newcastle and Leeds services resuming. Might use the ex Newcastle service one day as my daughter lives at Brampton and the train might be cheaper than the parking fee in the city! Ho Ho

I wrap up warm and still get cold lol. The hat has to be found
Terrific video Les 👍 loved watching that... really well filmed !
Thanks Ian

Thanks!
Always a joy looking at the Class 70's and waiting for them to appear. Good stuff Leslie.
Thanks Andy
Thanks Les.
Very welcome
Great video Leslie
Thanks!
Back on familiar territory. Very enjoyable Leslie, some great zoom shots again too. All the best.
Thanks Tim

Thanks Peter, I thought the fog was worth using as a prop
Excellent mate 👌
Thanks!

It does get cold but on the station at least there's tea available!
Wonderful video Leslie
Thanks!
Well done les 👍
Thanks Steve
Dead on mate 👍
Hope you had your thermals on! Best wishes.
Thanks Tim. Fortunately it's only my hands that have really been feeling the chill

Very true! And they ran out of money to just complete three platforms

Thanks John. Apparently there's spray Crete being applied under the bridge arches and the line is, I'm told, due to open 7th Dec.
@@LeslieGilpinRailways thanks for the info👍
Timber train .👍
Its a favourite!

The 92s only run to Glasgow and Edinburgh. Beyond the wires Caledonian Sleeper / GBRf use an array of diesel's including 67s
Bom dia ótimo video são vários trem de ferentes bom
Thanks!
🚂👍
Thanks
Another brilliant video Les. I’m new to Trainspotting could you please tell me where you get all the onscreen information from.
Thanks Paul. RealTimeTrains is the web site although others such as railcam offer the same information in greater detail for a subscription.

Thanks Anthony, I like to take advantage of the weather visually - I'd hate to just be taking the same shots as everyone else!
The 4 cement tanks are Thay the ones that staid on the track or the ones that came off but staid upright? Stay safe.
Apparently they stayed on the tracks but I think RAIB may want them for the investigation. I'd heard they were moved on wheel skates.
With those 68s on the spray train are they working in multiple or is the back one always hauled dead? (Obviously at times they reverse direction so other leads).
The rear one runs on tickover/notch 1 apparently.
Les, any chance of getting Carlisle NY shots as they seem quite busy? Cheers Rod
I'll need to take a box to get those though a wander around one afternoon to find locations may be worthwhile
