For me it's simple, Demon Slayer wins in terms of insane animation and Attack on Titan wins in terms of insane story telling. Both equally amazing shows we got this season and both of them deserve all the praise and success!

People seem to forget that the whole point of "Breathing Techniques" and "Total Concentration Breathing" that Demon Slayers use is literally to give them superhuman strength/physical abilities in order to be able to fight against demons. Tanjiro, most of all, and all Inosuke and Zenitsu are already on another level from other lower Demon Slayers because they have trained for "TC Breathing: Constant" which is a Hashira-level feat, I think.( Not to mention they special sensory abilities but thats not really the point here). They have trained to be "breathing" 24/7 which is why they fight relentlessly, get knocked down/pass out, get back up, and keep fighting until every single of their bones are broken or they are flat out dead. Plus its a shonen anime so yea.
Ikr... its literally the "magic" of this show. Its annoying how ppl cant buy this, but they can buy demons that regenerate and live for centuries
It's the fact that tanjiro brings up constantly how he cant move anymore then says fuck it will power will make me move. There's meant to be a limit to the breathing but I don't care that much it looks cool

AoT literally started its climax. After all these years and it was definitely worth the wait. Demon slayer definitely had the best animation. Overall, AoT wins it for me because they were able to live up to the hype they created.

Garbage animation ruined everything
I've read the manga, so I don't think I have "good animation bias" here when I say - that Demon Slayer's story in its second half is genuinely good storytelling. This arc, the next one which will be covered in season 3, and another climactic arc right after that one that will probably be in season 4. These 3 arcs are genuinely good with character development, good tension, pacing, action, conflict, plot development. These 3 arcs are my personal peak of Demon Slayer. I believe that with season 3 and 4's release, there won't be anybody calling this series "mid". Ending... yeah, but other than that, it's pretty good. 7/10 for me.

This surpasses my every favourite demon slayer moment until now. The way Tengen just went blitz on Gyutarou, I was speechless. Every character had his ultra badass moment in this episode. Tanjirou's actual mark appeared! The attention to detail, especially in the background is incredible. It's like at the end of every episode, I'm like....Don't die Tengen... don't die on me my man.
Demon Slayer goes insane with its animation and action. It also has a good and engaging story. But, Attack on Titan easily clears every other category over Demon Slayer expect animation. Demon Slayer has that category. But both shows are great.

Gyutaro and daki is basically an equivalent to a lower rank demon. They similarity is that no one cares if they die but the difference is that one is lower rank and the other is an upper rank. They couldve spent some time to show us their backstory on how they become a demon. In short, they are villains for the sake of it.
Uzui’s screen-time
For a new guy u expect him to be on screen and get to know more abt him because when he fights u want to root him and as well as emotionally invested in but they failed to do so and funnily they had to nerfed gyutaro to the point that uzui is able to fight him with one hand but didnt he struggle against gyutaro? And his wives are useless so idk why they bother to introduce to us?

His monologues were very annoying. Yes, some of them are useful but his monologues is like an essay to the point that idc anymore . His monologues are basically the things that we can see. And also him being apologetic is retarded because its not ur fault that uzui is down and is like him saying that he could be the difference if he was with uzui.

While i do see why shes very mad against daki but her adult version was very weird and i couldnt accept that because it was out of nowhere.
The first 5 ep were wasted on comedy and wrong characters. They couldve do a lot in these 5 eps. Considering that this season is short, they need to utilise this eps by giving us an intro to our new characters but nope. They had to give us this oiran that we dont care and some moments with tanjiro doing housework, like really.
Overall, i couldve enjoyed if it wasnt for the essays worth of monologues.

Did people forget that Ufotable literally spent more money on it's OPs for Fate/Stay Night: UBW than some animes spend on their entire show? Besides Studio IG, there isn't a studio who even comes close to blowing a budget on action scenes.
Attack on Titan is the outdoing everyone in the story department . While demon slayer is outdoing everyone with that animation . it’s a tie in their respective quality

That “Do it now Gohan !” was so accurate.
The whole point of shounen is to excite the viewer and make them feel all hyped up with action. Demon Slayer story isn't even that bad because I didn't notice anything, I love the concept, even. I just enjoyed being hyped up by the music, animation, voice acting, and the situations where you feel like you're really apart of the show.
Well done Ufotable. You know how to bring any show to its limits.
Demon Slayer's animation is unmatched. This was one of the most beautifully orchestrated fights I've ever seen in film or television. You can't compare the animation from the last season of attack to this. The writing here is a little more basic shonen than aot, though.

Demon Slayer might be the single greatest anime adaptation I've ever seen and that definitely has to count for something. The story is allowed to be the worst thing ever and it wouldn't even matter.

I enjoyed this arc more than previous two and this episode is dope AF, the animation,vfx and fighting are 10/10 but unfourtinately that’s all it is. I mean come on bruh they are STILL fighting the same demon the same stuff that’s been happening for last what 6 eps ? Almost nothing happend and was developed this entire arc and they constantly pull abilities out their asses which is soooo annoying there are no stakes and you know exactly what’s gonna happen. Let’s be honest here it’s all just superflashy fighting (Tengen would approve!) but i don’t i need more than that.
The only thing that was compelling and interesting for me is in episode Layered Memories where we learn a bit about Tanjiro’s dad and how he actually encountered Muzan before. That was awesome ! More of that kind of stuff please and i loved how Muzan was shitting his pants basically looking through that demon girl’s eyes.
Ooof ima bouta burst your bubble but that isn’t tanjiro’s dad also my only gripe of this whole season or more so tanjiro is how he spouts he can’t move anymore and still continues fighting even though he should be well past his limits and how he always goes on about how he’s weak and needs to be stronger it just gets annoying but other than that the season was cool 7 out of 10 for me

In terms of animation? Yes arguably. In terms of story? No way. AOT is one of the best stories out of any form of entertainment. Whether it be movies, tv series, or literature. Not just anime.
I have no idea why people think AoT is so good tbh. The fans like to point to extremely basic literary elements that were implemented into the series and call it a masterpiece as if 95% of cinema and literature doesn't already do that

@@prichow6923 I agree that Berserk is top tier, but Vinland Saga didn't really start to slap until the third arc, and it's been awesome since. The first arc of Vinland was really mid. The second one was good, but still nothing phenomenal in my opinion. And yes, I saw the dramatic character development Thorfinn went though. Exaggerated does not always mean good. Sometimes the most subtle developments are the most brilliant ones.
AoT was pretty mid until season 4 where the story finally seemed to become ambitious. Then it was actually really good for 33 chapters before it sucked for the remaining 16. If you're an anime only, then the most recent episode of AoT is the last one before that cut-off. Everything left in the show is complete garbage in my opinion.

Attack on Titan came busting through with the writing, Demon Slayer seems to only put in the effort when it comes to fight scenes. I've read both series till the end and am watching both, and Attack on Titan still comes out on top every time

Without the animation quality Demon Slayer is a pretty standard shounen, and there’s nothing wrong with that, but it shouldn’t be in the same conversation with something like AOT which is a masterclass in storytelling, worldbuilding, and character development. Besides the action and animation, what does Demon Slayer do better than AOT?

Mappa's problem is that they take on many shows at the same time. Ufotable is not working on anything but Demon slayer.

I like both for different reasons. I like the story of both anime since they aren't the same anime. I'm loving the animation on both.
