I've gotta say, the whole 'not letting your knees pass your toes' on squats is a myth. It's natural for your knees to extend that way. Try bending down to pick something up off the ground and see the natural shape you body takes. If you don't use your knees, your knees will continue to be weak and vulnerable; ironically the only reason this is dangerous is that people's knees are weak, but if you do squats properly, you will strengthen your knees in the long run. Just be careful not to accept pain as part of the exercise: if it is painful, you have gone too far, no matter what anyone says. It takes 4 times as long to strengthen the knees, as muscles strengthen in 2 weeks, whereas tendons and ligaments strengthen after 2 months of repetition, so you must also be careful not to push past your known limits too early, in other words, you cannot be in a hurry, you have to have patience with yourself.

the reason most ppl squat this way isn't to avoid injury, but to place more stress on the hamstrings and gluten, and not the quads. it's rly just a matter of what muscles your targeting

Good morning. Can I also use these exercises for my bilateral gluteus medius tendinopathy? I'm 55 years old, sporty, and I contracted the disease a year and a half ago through excessive cycling and hiking. My goal is to be back without pain at a normal load over the day. And , how often per day and every day or every other day Best wishes from Germany, Thomas.
