    Comments:
I started fresh, without much information, and I was testing fusions, experimenting, until I search for tips. I looked up the ascendants of the cards. I looked up how to get better cards, and then I focused on beating Meadow Mage in S-POW. This was essential to get stronger cards. After 120 wins, I had 3 MBDs, and Dark Magicians and Gaia Knights. I tried to finish it with that, and I still had difficulty. After looking more, I started trying to beat Pegasus with S-TEC in search of Megamorph (which I didn't get, but after 25 wins I got Widespread and 3 Equips that were essential). For S-TEC, I ended up going the long way, which is to exhaust the opponent's cards, always starting with magic cards or cards in defense to instigate the opponent to start with a fusion. I used a lot of savestate to restart games that weren't going well (in free play), or in the campaign to return to the Shop and restart more quickly. Because one thing that irritates is how the game makes you waste time. You have to go all the way to the end of a duel, lose, get game over, go back to the main screen, load, start over, watch the dialogues again, which you can't skip, and then return to the duel... it takes a lot of time. You can't even restart in free play. So I used the savestate to quickly return to the point where the load would leave you. About the game itself, at first it's cool. There are LOTS of cards, which gives a long game experience. However... the system for obtaining these cards is VERY broken. Relying on luck, on randomness, to drop the cards you want is a big problem. It makes the process of farming cards very exhausting. The game's difficulty increases a lot towards the end, and facing 7 bosses in a row, 2 of which have the strongest cards in the game that you can't get, and most of the time these cards start in their initial hand... it's bizarre. You need to farm a lot, and still count on luck. "Luck" actually seems to be much more on the opponent's side. It's noticeable how opponents almost always start with their strongest cards (Zoa, Skull Knight, Gate Guardian, Ultimate Dragon...) and for you it seems to be the opposite... many times my 3 MBDs were in the second half of the deck. Anyway, the game is not totally random. And because the game has this manipulation factor, and penalizes you by forcing you to spend hours farming... I didn't have a problem using savestate just to save a little bit of my time. However, this specific game corrupts your memory card if you are using savestate (Unable to locate load data). And that causes a crash at the end of the game. It simply doesn't return to the main menu, and you can't restart or play against the last bosses. One last disappointment reserved for this game. Furthermore, it doesn't drop all the cards, inexplicably depriving you of the full experience, and that's why so many mods have appeared to fix and balance this broken game. Also, pay attention that using the square key to attack allows you to see the fight animation (why didn't the game make this clear right away?). The poorly character designs in the animations, the repetitive battle music... The final impression is of a cool game, but one that gets tiring due to the length it acquires... it's not very balanced and fair, it could have been a little more polished, had better mechanics to reward you with cards, be more agile and advance faster in certain matches or allow you to restart them, and balance the difficulty and tedium that the final bosses become. This was the game that, by far, I spent the most time on so far (54 hours). Anyway, I felt it was fun up to a point, but then tedious and disappointing. With a little more adjustment, it could have been a great game. But for the time lost that I can't get back (and the insults I received in the final matches)... three stars.
