Uninvited Guests (Super Mario Odyssey/Half-Life 2 song mash-up)

I had a lot of fun with this one! This is a mash-up between Torkdrift Battle from Super Mario Odyssey and You're Not Supposed to Be Here from Half-Life 2.
Listening to Torkdrift Battle recently, I thought about how unique it is for a Mario game. I noticed that many people feel that it has some major Valve flavor, and so that inspired me to check out the Half-Life 2 soundtrack for the first time. And holy shit, what an amazing soundtrack that is... After hearing You're Not Supposed to Be Here, I was blown away at the similarities in tone and style to Torkdrift Battle, so voila!
I love how in-your-face this sounds. And I think it has a really cool ominous feel for being so fast paced! I also had a blast experimenting with a lot of filters throughout it, and I think that turned out well to incorporate some variety. I also overlayed parts of a quote from G-Man as an extra ingredient, which I thought would be fun. From what I understand, it's actually an unused quote from a leaked beta test map of some sort, which is really neat in itself, but it's very intriguing how part of the line is the name of the song that plays during the helicopter escape in Water Hazard! The full quote is: "Cleverly done, Mr. Freeman, but you're not supposed to be here. As a matter of fact, you're not. Get back to where you belong, and forget about all this. Until we meet again..."
The theme of the title has to do with the fact that Gordon Freeman is unwanted in the area by the Combine and that Torkdrift has invaded the Secret Flower Field in Steam Gardens.

What website did you download the Mario paint from 2 months
