Robert, have you watched the show One Piece? It follows the journey of a revolutionary hero- in a silly cartoon style. His journey is beyond mastery. The work is likely foreign propaganda aimed at destabilizing the west.
I feel like the biggest problem these days to achieve mastery is the decreasing attention span. Everyone knows a lot of stuff on a shallow level. But not many people know stuff on a deep level. Mastery is where the value is at!
@smavrick That's utterly reductionistic. Look at all the sports stars that grew up poor. Stop making excuses, if things aren't happening for you, make it happen.
@smavrick All i'm hearing from you is that you're stuck in a victim mindset. Your circumstances don't define you, they are only part of your journey/story.
The road to mastery is like roaming through a desert, sometimes for years, drinking the water offered, with an undying belief in the oasis on the other side. Just don't quit. ❤
You inspire me Robert. I’m day 111 as a recovering addict. I started reading your books a while ago and fell out of it because I got caught back up in using. You have changed my life forever and I can honestly say I look up to you. You’re the cool uncle I never had. I hope I can meet you one day to thank you in person.
It's a coincidence that I just finished reading your book mastery some minutes ago and got this notification. You can't imagine the profound impact your wisdom had in my life. It's always a pleasure listening to your talks. Inspirational and life changing. I wish to travel to the US someday just to appreciate and say hello to you. Wish you a healthy long life Sir. Greetings from Kenya.
8:25 i have given up, health issues, but i think in deep down i still want to try to get my health back. I want to live, i want to get better, i also need good doctors. There is still light, hope in the bottom of abyss. 14:43, everything in this video is really good, helpful. Thank you. 👍🏽 You are amazing, wise, human. This is eye, mind opener. 😊❤️
Thank you Robert for sharing your wonderful mind and energy. It is important and we need more of what you are sharing in order for us all to MASTER our lives. Thank you again.
I came across your work about a month ago and it has been life changing. I have felt pretty lost and powerless my whole life and I am starting to understand why and how to change that for the betterment of myself and the people around me. Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication, it affects people more than you know.
I am from Africa, Tanzania. I have never met you but you live in my every room in my house... now even my 15 year old sone is getting what i have been telling my wife for 10 years.... I have Every book that you have ever shared in public domain to buy! Thanks for being my "professor Emeritus" .... Please visit Tanzania . Would love to host you..
Robert, I want to thank you with all my heart for writing the book “Mastery”, I have been using the principles on my work place and I found my mentor which he likes me and we have built an emotional connection, what I have learned within the last 6 months I have not learned during all my life, thank you, I still have goosebumps when reading your book, this is my third time reading it and I can’t get enough of it thank you 🙏
Love your persistence and attitude Robert! Very thought provoking and useful guidance. My friend Andrew is in his 70s and is a famous sculptor. He lost use of his left half after a stroke and is still at it too! Just shows what you can do when you don't give up hope, wishing you well! 🙏
One of the beautiful things about the guitar. The statement on connecting things in your mind is you can physically feel it happen. You get to this point of overwhelmness feel something going on in your mind. You stop you go to bed. You wake up the next day and Bam you can do whatever you struck for hours with the last night
Thank you Robert, for all the value you have provided to my life throughout the years. And that which you continue to! For all the talk of darkness, you are a light in it. Edit: for anyone reading this, I'm 31 and two years ago I hit that wall Robert talks about where you realise you are totally disconnected from what you do. The advice I never got was to make sure you do something that truly speaks to you, and after what has been quite a journey since that realisation, I'm on the right path. I got Robert's book, The Daily Laws, as soon as it was released - about a week before I packed up my life to go figure things out. Talk about timing. He is absolutely right. Don't wait to find out like I did. Money is the materialisation of what really matters, which is pursuing something in your life which truly aligns to the core of who you are. And just to balance this hopefully not tedious comment out, having the ability to earn a baseline amount of money with a skill that's in demand is important - but I thought it was everything, and it's not. It's just your safety net that allows you to pursue what calls you in life.
Sir, intellectually speaking you are the father figure I needed in my life while growing up. I’m a management engineer from Italy, but my real dream is to become a best-selling author and have a real life conversation with you ❤
I heard you on a podcast that usually gets referred to me and it came up by auto play but what you were saying was interesting enough to wake me up from a half sleep. Now I’m your fan. You’re great bro.
The contrast is what teaches me the most, everything ur saying is so true! Thank YOU! I feel incredibly blessed to have heard you on Andrew Huberman’s podcast, picking up 3 books today, me and my 21 and 24 year old! Cheers!!!!! U are changing my perspective and my life for the better!!! I’m so very grateful ❤
You could tell that Robert's books are his life's work, and that's why they're so genuine. Waiting for Mastery to be delivered. Kind of annoyed at the delivery getting delayed, but more than that, I'm excited to read it.

Hello Robert, i really admire your video, and i always present on that. Thank you for your brilliant idea. Your books changed the way i am. And i am so grateful that i discovered your books and even this channel on your youtube. Hope you will notice me😊
The most interesting part is where you talk about Faraday. Where you say that a lot of people read the book that he read but only him achieve great things thanks to the book
I came to this video because of the short video and I am super happy to benefit from your wisdom.... you are an Oasis in the midst of so much charlatanism from supposed gurus
Just started watching this man. Very informative. As a true Master Mason in the Masonry industry it takes discipline to the fullest to become a master Greetings from Southern California The Masonry Company
I have a great book to suggest to you and the audience. The name is "wings of Fire". It is a biography of one of the great master from my country, a genius rocket scientist who went on to became President of country and died while teaching students... A sage amongst sages yet a fierce passionate man who loved science.. His name is Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, former president of India. One point i would like to mention is the book explains his "masculine and feminine" a sort of composite style of leadership that he learned from his mentor professor Vikram Sarabhai, and how he used it to create rockets, accident with sodium payloads, beurocracy and how he lead them..... A very very thin book yet a great read.... Please read it Mr. Greene, you will definitely love the journey of reading it
One story in the book: when Dr. Kalam visited Goddard space research lab in USA, he saw a painting in the lobby. When observed carefully he noticed black men fighting using missiles and rockets on battlefield. He was curious. When he asked about the painting he got to learn that the painting depicted worlds first ever missile defense used by indian revolutionary king Tipu Sultan against British Army during colonial rule. It took India more than 100 years to revive the dormant technology and use it again to use it into satellite technology. All thanks to Dr. Kalam's and teams remarkable work. All of this is mentioned in second chapter of the book
My favorite idea in mastery was learning to be more visual, which i apply daily now, In the 33 strategies of war and the laws of human nature I loved the topics on death, which i also apply every single day like i just read the books

I can't thank you enough for helping me to become self aware and finally have gotten to the point of my life to change it for the better..I adore your work here are my favorites the laws of human nature the art of seduction and the 48 laws of power ..much love ❤
You need focus to calculate the time you have to do what tasks you need to do. The more experience you get, the more accurate you can get to preplan the time it will take you to do certain things. The faster you can accomplish those things, from practice or other help, hint, tricks, skills, etc, tools, money, support, political leeway or other, the more it can affect your schedule, and, your scheduling time for project management. Project management is related to control of the system. If you can't manage your time to design systems or to do work, someone else may have to do it for you. Laws were planned from analysis which analysis took time for people to be able to manage their time.
Hello Robert Greene I love how your idea from your book i really wanted to buy the physical book but I can't afford it so i only buy the epub version hope one day i could collect your 48 laws of power collection❤
Concerning mentors that portion in your book "mastery" . It actually a great deal because many of us are living in the shadow of our mentors. We've not gotten to the stage of departing from them to follow our own path. We are still stuck in their style a, ideas causing us not be noticed. Instead, using their style, ideas and alter it into what best fits for us. That is the place where the world also recognizes us. I really love that story about Gould ( the pianist )
Dear MR Robert . Can you write the book regarding how to deal with narcisist parent or relative. At least , can you make video clip to educate us how to deal with narcisist relative . It is very painful.
"You've got to find out what makes you unique, what it is that you love, that's completely who you are, that is like your potential when you were born." "Being able to be good with people is extremely important as a social animal, but perhaps higher up in the hierarchy is being able to do things, to be able to have great skill and to be able to create something."

Trouble is unless you have exceptional talent in those fields there isn't much of a future in them. More generally I guess, an education for its own sake is the privilege of wealthy people. I don't really agree. You could have gone into those fields, only with accepting that you probably wouldn't have a lot of money in it (there's always exception), not poverty but just not a lot of money, like becoming a teacher etc... Problem is the quality of life versus career. For a lot of artistic oriented people, you unfortunately often have to choose between doing what you love, or making money. I'll be honest, imo, f*ck money. When we have a roof, we can eat, take care of the children, the rest is not worth sacrificing the only resources we really have, which is time. Using this time to do things for money, is a bad trade imho. Sure, having both money and the career is nice. But we don't really choose our passions unfortunately
