Whats even worse is she was bonded out of jail and did go back to school. She was actually scheduled to walk at the graduation ceremony but students protested and they removed her name.
Of the 14 years... she only has to serve 85% of it ... that means she'll serve less than 12 years.

The first crash disgusts me to my core. The most clear example of how having money makes laws slide off you. He murdered that poor woman and her dog, they were just having a normal night and they were murdered because of the selfish actions of an asshole pos. To drive drunk automatically makes you subhuman trash without exception, but to then kill someone… He deserves life in prison. It doesn’t matter how sorry he is. He’s gonna be out driving drunk the first chance he gets cause people like that only care about themselves and view themselves as the main characters in life. Makes me so angry for the injustice of that incident.

Main character syndrome means that you believe yourself to be the main character in the larger picture - and that you are more valuable than anyone else around you. It means you inflate your own importance in every situation. You are the star not just of your own show but of THE show. If you attempt to make yourself the main character in every situation you are in, then you have MCS. If you only see a situation through the lens of how it affects your life, and are incapable of seeing it from the pov of others affected, then you have MCS. I worked at a Level 1 Trauma and Burn Center in the eighties when I was in my 20s. One of the HARDEST things for us to deal with is when we had victims of a DUI collision where we busted our tails and weren't able to save them, but the drunk who had caused the collision, who seemed to only ever sustain a minor injury, would be in the Observation area acting a fool because they were still drunk and handcuffed to the stretcher. Very, VERY difficult to maintain professional demeanor while providing care for them.

Shame on the courts once again, and I think it's time the prosecution, for agreeing to a low sentence, and the Judge for allowing it to stand, are held responsible if he does it again! Pathetic

She's clearly not that bright, and is clearly very spoiled, she probably got into such a great school through nepotism and wealth. Which would mean her parents have infulence in the community, which would 100% infulence the judge.
If I was the judge I'd give her the maximum possible due to the complete heartlessness she displayed. Then, if she changed her ways she could always get parole. But 14 years is way too lenient, she'll barely be over 30, that's hardly a punishment for 2 lives and blatantly not caring. And we all know she'll likely get out early like 7-10 years.
