- United Airlines NEW Boeing 777-300ER engine start, taxi and takeoff from Newark Liberty International Airport. KEWR-KSFO. Heading to San Francisco International Airport. This flight was only 2 days after the inaugural 77W flight. I love the new seats including the amount of privacy they have. Meal service was decent for the length of flight. Everyone onboard seemed to like the new seats. Sorry about the window being in the shot on takeoff, as the sun was completely impairing my view.

I love the take off to the south and the quick turn east then west out of EWR
Judging by number of videos on UA-cam every single person with window seat was recording on that flight. And it's a good thing.
I really enjoy listening to the B777's takeoff sound. It sound's very cute when it screams like a girl.

Virtual Pilot those things are a beast
Nice footage, but unfortunately the economy class passengers are packed in at 31 inches pitch and 17 inches width. Worse, economy plus are also only 17 inches wide, have 34 inches pitch, bringing a grand total of 366 passenger seats. That is some 56 more seats than AA's 77W which packs economy passengers in at the same cramped dimensions. I guess fuel mileage per capita will be better on the UAL ones. Expect a heavy takeoff when one of these is full on a long flight.
Not as bad as Air France
Their 300ERs can fit 450+ (that's more than some a380 operators)
I have flown with them and I have never seen sooooo many people in a confined space.

I saw a documentary about a DC10 crash from UA in the 70s. As a result UA and GE have rocky relationship.

Crew didn't put a finger on him, it was a couple of aviation cops who later got fired over that.

This aircraft seats waaaaay too many passengers. Brand new but you still can't hear or understand what the attendants are saying.
