A few years ago, I read an interview with Paul McCartney. The interviewer talked about the popularity of the guitar part on "Blackbird" and asked him how he came up with it. As I remember it, McCartney stated that he had heard a record of Julian Bream playing the Bourrée from the 1st Lute Suite by Bach and that "Blackbird" started as his attempt at playing it. It's really cool to see "Blackbird" come back to the instrument that inspired it. ~Miguel, Guitar Lessons from Spain
Thrilled to see the first TV promo on SBS for Milos and his wonderful Beatles album here in Australia! Now all of Australia can see and hear his incredible talent. Am l his greatest fan in Oz?
Hi there, I just saw the performance of Blackbird by Milos Karadaglic on SBS TV. It was absolutely fantastic. I'm listening to again on youtube. Being a fan of the Beatles, I can only assume they would all be humbly impressed by this version of Blackbird. I'm only sorry I didn't hear about Milos before. Having 2 kids, being a house husband and trying to work with the NSW state government depts about rezoning is my life. My social life is almost non existent. Thank you for a most enjoyable social moment! Now I have something new to pursue!
Auuuu...fenomenalno. Vise nego dostojno najveceg benda svih vremena. Citav album je cisti muzicki uzitak. Svaka cast za sjajnog umjetnika iz moje drzave! Fantastic! The whole album is a pure joy! Well worth the greatest band of all time! With Anoushka Shankar on the last track...Amazing!
Just heard this one on radio 3.. uncredited in their online playlist! So looked it up via the verbal credit and found this. Great version. Terrible phoney film effects video. Ugh.
I love the arrangement and performance, but whoever directed this video should be banned from video production for life. It's a beautiful, peaceful song, and the constant video jumps and effects simply distract from the song and its performance. I may use this video when I speak about content to illustrate how good content production lets the ideas and content speak for themselves, never gets in the way or makes itself evident. This is simply an overeager video producer wanting to show off the tricks and features in his software rather than concentrating on what is best for the viewer or the music. Great music--I look forward to the album--but some of the worst video production I've ever seen.
+Augie Ray Thanks slashingdashing, I find that rather funny. Milo obviously has a different POV on the song and his performance than I do. It's hard for me to understand how he could musically create something so beautiful and visually want hiccups, jumps and flashes throughout the video. But, maybe I just don't get what he was going for.
+Gitaar, maar waar? I can't imagine it's available (yet) as we don't have a track listing for the album. Reading between the lines, I think the arrangements were done for this album - I may be wrong. Shouldn't be that difficult to take the original (which is widely available) and make a very similar arrangement.
+Gitaar, maar waar? There's a nice interview with Milos about the process of making the album here: www.prestoclassical.co.uk/interview/1432/Milos-Karadagli-on-Blackbird
@@judetheobscure2 The arrangement was expertly done by Sergio Assad. Don't pretend that anyone can make an arrangement like this. Its pretty complicated.
Any good arrangement adds to the original music. Its completely fine to reharmonize or add new melodies. I like this arrangement a lot, its very clear and the added melodies are very subtle.

To listen to Julian Bream is to be inspired!

- un contrebassiste
really good arrangement w playing...don't have a problem w the video because I'm too busy listening!
好歌就是這麼耐聽,不管是Milo的吉他,或是美劇Glee裡Cris Colfer唱的,對我來說都很美
出で立ちとコスチュームが合ってないとおもうが、音楽は大好きだw
Where can I get the sheet music for this arrangement?
god has a copy....

Nice arrangement! Who made it and where can we get it?

omg does he have his notes anywhere?
reminds me of the Craig Ogden version.
Music great,
but the video effects remind me of TOTP being ruined in the 70's by some nob with a new effects suite.
Miloś is a superb guitarist! Great cover of a Beatles classic. However , seriously the worst videos I've seen in a long time !
i compare mccartney to steve winwood. They are gods.
You've added to the melody it's a completely different song.
No need for the jumpy camera work, spoils it somewhat.
Classical guitar not acoustic
The video is so distracting. Shame as the music is stunning.
Lol
He remind me george clooney 😂
Nope
I don't like that arrangement, it's not true to the original song.
Its a combination of the original part and the melody played together. I think its stunning.
Move along Yoko.

I love it! Try to be open to new sounds Christopher!
