Starting training tomorrow and I’m so excited! I’m already thinking about what I want my classroom to look like when I do qualify (is that too soon lol)

Yay, are you excited? Classrooms vary so so much, you can be imaginative, but it's impossible to truly picture what it'll look like! Part of the fun (maybe)? 😉

@@cassieosbourne7666 That's completely normal. I hope you enjoy it though! Will you go straight into school? X

@@cassieosbourne7666 I was school direct too, but I think we had like one or two training days too. Honestly being in the classroom is an incredible experience - learning on the job is the best because every day is so different!

Hi, I had a small thought I'd need your input on.
Would you bunch up several different word mats to form a larger word bank? I'd typically laminate them, punch a hole in the top corner and tie them up together. This could typically last the entire year and if they hopefully skim through it, they might commit some of those words to memory. What's your take? 🤔

No harm in that, but depending on age and academic ability, it could be overwhelming. A little like some children could have a whole page full of corrections, but it's best to pick a select few that they can edit without having too much to look at. You'd also have to consider how you help them navigate all of those word banks. For some children, giving a whole pack could make them feel like us reading a whole book. There are definitely pros though - I'm just playing devil's advocate. What do you think?
