  • Hi, friends! I debated whether or not to post this because things are changing so rapidly every day. I noticed on their website that due to demand, orders are shipping out later. I placed a Butcher Box order before we found ourselves in our present situation. However, perhaps it's helpful to share for future reference for somebody, or for planning ahead.
    Here's my referral code: fbuy.me/oSY36
    Right now, it's for $30 off your first order, and I would get $30 off as well. I'll be honest, I'm not sure how many times it can be used, but I'm leaving it here just in case!

    Boy am I glad to see you! I was looking into buying some Butcher Box because I have a hard time getting out to shop. However, when I do get to the stores I prefer to spend more for grass fed, organic, pasture raised, etc meat and poultry, and fresh caught fish. So I was looking at the choice of boxes and figured the best for me would be the custom box. At some point they invited me to see their UA-cam channel. I lost my place so I searched for Butcher Box and found you doing a review. I was so delighted as I know how you work and you are on top of everything when it comes to prices and value. I’ll use your code and hope to sign up during a promotion very soon. I’ll let you know how it goes. Congratulations on 101k subscribers!

    I’m so glad you did this video I have been looking at this also. I don’t know if you know this or not but Braums usually has grass fed steaks and they are usually really good I like to go there during grilling season. I truly appreciate your thoughtfulness in how you broke all this down!!!

    Once and a while I would make Shepherd Pie for my husband and I for dinner and my husband told me the other night that it was the best Shepherd Pie ever. I had to agree I noticed a difference , because I notice that for the first time I made it with the meat that came from the Butcher Box. The ground beef was the Angus ground beef and it looked real high quality meat. Also, I've been buying from Purdue Farms and the chicken is real good as well. Made some home made chicken soup with it and my husband said, it was one of the best soups ever. I know its a little pricey, but it's worth it. My food taste good with these products and it comes well packaged and best of all right at your door. We Sold!

    I agree with you on the quality of meat. For the price this is the best deal I can get in South Dakota. Except for one time it took 3 days to arrive, I always get it within 2 days of shipping. I get free 2lbs beef, free wings, free bacon also. Also fun to customize. I was getting it every 6 weeks, just changed 8 weeks, for 2 people. Thanks again for the great video.

    I've been a subscriber for a year. The sirloin Cap cut is our steak night. BB has a yummy grilling recipe for it, cuts like budda. The St. Lois ribs are also a quarterly treat for us. Just watch the amount of pounds, if you want leftovers, you might need 2 cuts of the meat. Bon Appétit from Texas.

    My husband and I did do Butcher Box a couple of times. What we got was really good. We wished the beef was available in a higher percentage like we usually buy. For us it was cost so right now we have cancelled. Very handy though to have delivered!

    • @SeeMindyMom
      @SeeMindyMom  4 роки тому

      Yes, I understand. I think I will have to really research exactly which kinds and cuts of meat to purchase to maximize the value. The chicken breast and the salmon could be a really good deal.

    I use butcher box and Alaska home pack. Together they last me about 2 almost 3 months for a family of 4, a newborn, toddler and 2 adults. I buy whole chickens vs a pack as it yields more when broken down. I also only use a half of pound of ground meat in a meal. I get the bacon and the ground beef free as well and don't order anymore than those and 2 whole chickens, 2 roasts, and 2 random other items. Then I add in maybe 4 to 6 pounds of ground turkey or chicken I get at a local butcher.

    The other big advantage to ordering with this company would be the food is vacuum packed meaning it will not freezer burn and you don’t have to buy bags to put it in the freezer thanks for your info I’m gonna check into buying meat from them. Is there a minimum order amount or quantity to be able to use them?

    • @SeeMindyMom
      @SeeMindyMom  3 роки тому

      Dana, my box is 6 items which I choose from their list. You are right, it's vacuum sealed and lasts a long time in the freezer. I've been very impressed with the roasts, especially the bone-in pork roast. :)

    I wish I could make that much meat last myself and my 2 children 3 - 4 months. I typically split 2 chicken breast or 2 steaks between the 3 of us. I get my meats from aldis which they have the never ever chicken breasts and grass fed ground beef and they also have grass feed sirloin and sy strip steak but they tend to be really fatty and we don't care for that much extra fat and usually have a lot of scraps from those cuts. I think I'll give it a try to see what they're cuts are like. Thanks for the review.

    I may have missed it but can you choose only lean meats when selecting a box? I tend to use 96% FF (or greater) meats for when I cook.
    Do you think you will be continuing with butcher box or was this a one time try?
    PS: I forgot to finish a video before (more than once) and had to recook a entire meal just to take pictures of it for a thumbnail due to me being to excited to eat it🤣 #thestruggleisreal

    • @SeeMindyMom
      @SeeMindyMom  4 роки тому +1

      A Salty Veteran to my knowledge, they don’t have leaner ground beef. 85/15 is 29 points for a pound. It’s 19 if you cook and drain it (10oz cooked) for a pound. I just prefer the flavor, so I pay the points, but everybody’s different. They do have various cuts of chicken and pork, some of which would be leaner than the beef. I do plan to get another one, but I’ll probably do an every other month thing for now. It doesn’t look like much, but from what I showed in the video, I can easily get 15 meals for my family. Maybe more if I stretched it.

    Hey there. I wanted to leave you a comment because I never realized that comments were important until I saw your video about being on UA-cam. First if all, you have re-piqued my interest in butcher box because I too have to go to multiple stores for quality meat. And secondly, there is another UA-camr, Thomas DeLauer that does have a deal with butcher box so if you sign up with his link you get even more of a discount. You might be able to get in on that. Or any of your viewers. I really like your content and that you are involved with your church. Thank you for being here!

      Pamela Me814 not to my knowledge. 10oz of cooked and drained 85/15 (that’s what a pound of raw cooks down to) is 19 points on WW. Spread out across 5-6 servings, I pay the points because I like the flavor, but I know others prefer leaner cuts.

    gmo chicken has never been licensed to be on market now anywhere in the world, so of course you are getting a non-gmo chicken!
    non-gmo is only a placebo food for people unwilling to learn the scientific facts but willing to pay a lot more than gmo food.

    • @SeeMindyMom
      @SeeMindyMom  3 роки тому +2

      Hi, Frank! The chicken in my butcher box is organic. There is a difference. All organic must be non-gmo as well, but non-gmo doesn’t necessarily need to be organic. All chicken must be antibiotic and hormone free (since the 1970’s) but that doesn’t mean they are fed organic feed, or pasture raised.
