I studied flite seriously when I was young and have played periodically ever since. These recommendations are spot-on. Both the tonal exercise and the scales & arpeggios. Thise three are the foundation of playing well. Just remember to pay close attention to the details of how well you're doing, and try to correct any problems.
Amelie, the best teacher ever!!! My master, I am 42 years old and I am brazilian. I really appreciate the musical work you have done on the internet, you really inspire my studies. Let the universe continues blessing you and your subtle work.
A special thanks to you. Your flute lesson is exactly what I was looking after. I do need to practice scales, technics. Voilà, j'ai ce qu'il me faut. J'ai du grain à moudre. Enjoy? I merely say I am struggling! Grand MERCI !
This is great! I'm picking up flute again, good exercises and practical to realize somewhat what level Im on. Funny that you translated "études", but I just got more confused by that since we use the french word as it is :) you don't wanna hear how we pronounce that in Swedish tho it's such a disaster. Thank you for a good video
Thanks. Im working on tone at the moment. Frustrating. I have good days and bad days. More goid than bad. That one reason i practice is to get consistent volumn and sound quality at the bottom of the lower reg. The low C and B can be trjcky. If i dont concentrate i tent to go up slightly so its nit bottom or second. It sounds inbetween. Still its getting better. Thats for all your advice. 😅😅😅😅
Thank you so much for your invaluable tips and information! A personal question: I've noticed your name is French but most of my friends, although completely fluent in English, don't have a naturall accent like yours. I could only tell that you are French after I heard you pronounce the name of the keys, especially C. I ask you this because, since I have a degree in linguistics and now I am currently studying music, I would like to study more subjects like language acquisition and music, especially to see if there is indeed better results in pronunciation if the individual has musical knowledge. My bet would be, of course, that people who study and have understanding of music have an ear more trained to perceive differences in sounds when they're learning new languages.
If you're able to play Badinerie at double normal speed and still consider yourself as an intermediate player, you and I definitely don't have the same definition of "intermediate"
First I loved your blouse ❤️ second, could you make a video on how to go from low C to the other notes such as the low F? I mean I'm not sure how to move my pinkie and haven't found any vídeos showing a technique to do that... Thank you so much, I love all your vídeos 👍
Try the exercises and find out! But if the etude I provided is too hard. Perhaps your just below that level. But if you find it easy and a little bit challenging I would say your at a beginning intermediate level. I'll try to make a video about it.
When all the videos for beginners are things you've mastered and are a total bore? hah Idk I can play songs and sight read, but not great at it. I'm gonna say that makes me an intermediate.
@@flutechannel Anytime. Any support from anybody is important to me mostly. I really appreciate everything , someone does for me 😉. You can visit my channel and watch some of my videos hope you will like them . Stay safe. 😊
This is really helpful. I was studying your embouchure and I was wondering if I'm doing it wrong. When I get done playing through a song for around 3 to 4 minutes, I get a little red mark and a bump where my lip went into the air hole. Is this a good or bad habit?
Do you have a video covering the highest register? I believe it the 4 and highest c. I think it is 5c. I am having trouble with fingering and quick response. Any tips?
Dear Emily. On practicing scales, I have a hard time moving nimbly from low E to low C. How is the correct technique? Thanks in advance. Your video is wonderful.
I'll be releasing a video shortly about this. It's part of my 20 lessons course. But the episode released will talk about the low notes. It's should give a bit of guidance. Happy practicing!
@@KavocadoA380 Well, they were used as scary sounds in old films for a reason... It doesn't sound pleasant, it sounds confusing. Go to an empty building and you start hearing this...
Thank you! I want to try out for honor band and i didnt know how to practice everyday so thank you so much!!
You're so welcome! Good luck! Here's to you getting in! :)

It sounds like a great exercise. My friend is getting ready for a practice in welcoming Dutch students at her church.
Have a great day at church Adam!
I've been wanting to try out for the all-state band and this helps me a lot, your lessons are very clear and helpful! Thank you!

The first exercise looks like the one I do but I have the Trevor Wye book for tone! It can seem monotonous, but the time really improves!
Yeah my first thought was “oh that’s why they made me do the Trevor Wye book in school” :p

My everyday exercises are:
1. Badinerie, double normal speed
2. Fantasie Impromtu
3. Flight of the Bumblebee for 5 mins without breathing

Prima Sankyo Artist flute with a wimberely headjoint.

a lot of listening and practice! But there are some exercises that can help. like my low note video : ua-cam.com/video/wAqz1RN_oWM/v-deo.html
Dear teacher, hello
Please advise how to practice the abdominal muscles to support and push the breath up well, thank you,

Thanks for the practice structure!! There’s a little error in the written C major arpeggio (second to last note should be an E)
Thanks for that we will note it in the errata.
I've been looking for a portable flute stand. The one I have is flimsy. Do you have any recommendations?
Yup the K and M Flute Stand : amzn.to/2JKcAVe
Also, the Taffanel and Gaubert book can be found on IMSLP : imslp.org/wiki/Complete_Flute_Method_(Taffanel%2C_Paul)
That's a lot of pages to print. ; )

In the end of the video, you tell where one can find the Etudes Mignon garibaldi, but I cant hear where. Could you please write it in the comment.
