Just so you guys who are interested in buying this know, it's not that loud under VTEC. This guy's camera mount game is strong. On VTEC, it sounds just as good though. ;)

I bought one in January this year. Live on the Isle of Man and opted for the sport pack with the akrapovic exhaust, just running it in and will upload a video as soon as i get beyond the 600 mile initial service.

I have a 1984 or 85 FV700-F and it has a custom shorty pipe for the exhaust. It's just as loud if not a little louder than that at 1:40 on. love the sound of the bike.
its kinda of like being in VR where it gives you visual experience as to if you were the pillion holding on by one hand filming it and you suddenly lose control and start flailing about

Great vid! I have a 5th Gen (1997) with a Staintune exhaust and have listened to plenty of 6th Gen machines - the exhaust notes are virtually identical (if you match pipes). If you want the sound in this vid but can't afford a new machine there are options!
I've never been able to capture the sound as well as this in a recording though - nice job.

sounds by far the best to me, out of interceptor, arrow or ixil. DanMoto is also another great 1. And amazingly cheap n look great.

I've got a Delkavic full length exhaust and 8" stainless can on my 1999 VFR800. I don't use the DB killer and I don't think it sounds offensive unless you get on it, in which case it truly roars. I would rather listen to VFR sound clips than female orgasms. Was looking at getting a 2014. Sad they don't have a full length for that generation.

How did you record this? Sounds really good compared to other exhaust vids it seems, and what sort of camera/mount did you use?
I used a Gopro with microphone, and no housing. Although i don't think the mic made much difference to be honest. The mic on the go pro is pretty good. Mounted using 1" ball Ram mounts and a 3 axis gimbal. You will notice the gimbal struggles with the wind speed at one point.
The V4´s are made for aftermarket "silencers" ;)

There was a flat spot 3000-3500? I never keep my VFR that low on the rev range. Always 5000. Sounds so gooooooooooood with delkevic.

How do you still like the Delkevic? I have the same bike and I am considering this exhaust or the black ceramic GPR deep tone.

Just passed my Mod 2 test this afternoon and looking for inspiration. As a non-biker I've heard these V-fours over the years and always loved the almost V8 sound. But I've never been very knowledgeable on bikes so didn't know what bikes made this sound. Now I know!

Hey bro I have the same bike same color , and I bought the exact same exhaust because of your video . I’m having trouble keeping the bottom end of the pipe attaches to the end of the header , I know you’re supposed to use the ring to go around that part , but it won’t stay solid . Did you have to do anything to the end of those pipes to put them together ?
Jawad Altas Hi. It’s was over 4 yeArs ago I fitted it. I don’t recall having any issues. Just used what it came with. The bikes 2000 miles away otherwise I would go and look. Sorry I couldn’t be more help

ok so now i know which bike to get
i was looking at the R1S and the R6, FZ10, but they were supposedly uncomfortable. so i fell back to the suzukes. i didint want to be another wasak rider, didint look all that cool anyway. was seriously considering a ducati, the harley of sports bikes (cringe).
but the interceptor looks good and looks comfortable.
i bought a fz10 not sure why you say they are uncomfortable i did the 1000 mile in 24 hour iron butt challenge no problems

Onestep Ahead Surprisingly the VFR doesn't feel very heavy at all. My SV650 (190kg wet) actually felt heavier than my VFR800. It's all to do with center of gravity and weight distribution.

Chuck Allen Much louder and a different note. Completely different. I found the stock exhaust too stealthy. I want people to know I'm there when filtering in heavy M25 traffic.

Im not using a power commander. But it may fix the flat spot issue i have at 3000 - 3500. Most noticable with gentle use of throttle.
OneLife What's a power commander? And what do you mean by "flat spot"? Sorry for the noobish questions :D
celaCH1 A power commander is a box used for tuning the fuel injection system on a bike. It's mainly used when adding a full aftermarket exhaust or just a silencer. It's also used when a aftermarket or performance cam is put in.
OneLife By flat spot i mean there is no increase in power between 3000 - 3300. Its not really noticeable with large twists of the throttle. Very noticable with slight use.
The 6 Gen were notorious for that flat spot. Perhaps it's the same for the newest version. On mine it occurs between 4-4500rpm. Nothing to do with your exhaust

Typically speaking, if you reduce exhaust pressure you may need to shim up the needle jet to get rid of any mid rpm flat spots.
