Wow, this is starting to finally make so much sense, I've always been a pre tribulation believer, but some things I just couldn't put together, thank you, I need to wrap my mind around this more, and more clarification. Thank you, Jesus!

GINOLJC, I agree with the assessment of the lost, the none elect, will be remove first. the parable of the sower state it also. Matthew 13:30 "Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn". that's very plain.

As a pre-tribber, I see this differently. Noah was TAKEN out of the flood. I believe Jesus talked about the rapture. Matthew and Mark combine both events into a single chapter. Luke separated the two events. Luke 17 describes the rapture. Life seems normal and unbelievers don't see it coming. Luke 21 describes the second coming. People are hiding in caves hoping rocks will fall and kill them. Jesus will be visible! In the rapture, there is a flash of light (unbelievers do not see Jesus until the second coming) and the believers are taken to heaven. Where Lord? Believers leave their fleshly bodies behind. There will be so many dead, they will struggle to bury the "dead." Hence the vultures. We are all appointed to die once (Hebrews 9:27). The two witnesses in Revelation are Enoch and Elijah. 1 Corinthians 14:1

37 But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and did not know until the flood came and TOOK THEM ALL AWAY so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 40 Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left.
Notice that its the bad ones that are taken away, in the flood not the good ones, hes comparing the end of the trib with noahs days, Why would the bad ones be taken away? Look in matthew 25
45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
they are being taken away into Hell. The righteous are not taken because the kingdom is there on earth where they are already at.
If they were talking about the Good ones being taken away in both, then you would be a post tribber because the being taken away with the coming of the son of man is after the trib.

In the days of Noah who were taken off the Earth and who left in the days of lot who were taken off the Earth and who were left it is the un Believers that were taken off the Earth the Believers are still left on the earth just like in the days of Noah is going to be the same and when Jesus comes back the evil are going to be taken off the earth and the Believers are going to be left on the earth with the Lord the unbelievers are taken that's the ones that are taken off the Earth the Believers were the ones that were left on the Earth they were on it before the tribulation started and they're going to be on it after the unbelievers are taken. Matthew 13 says first take the tears and burn them and then put my wheat in the barn the tears are taken care of first

Just a thought: The flood took all away. Noah and his family were taken away safely in the ark (Jesus) and the rest were taken away in judgement or left behind. Why and to what extent did they not know what wood happen? Noah had been preaching and warning them for decades. Just a curious thought..

A simple reading of the context of both Matthew 24 and Luke 17:31-37 will lead to the obvious conclusion that this refers to the 2nd coming. At this point in the text I am convinced it takes place after the rapture. Read verse 37 those taken are eaten by vultures. Be that as it may this should never cause us to fight with one another and give a bad testimony to the world. Let each man be convinced in his own mind. God will not forbid you to enter His kingdom if someone doesn't fully understand eschatology. We are saved by grace through faith. Now let us love one another and never let simple disputes divide the church of God.

The Lord Jesus Christ is talking about the believers that are faithful to him at his Revelation and he's talking believers that are unfaithful at his Revelation.
The believers that are faithful to him at his Revelation will escape the wrath to come and the believers that are unfaithful to him at his Revelation will left behind to go through the 7 year tribulation.

Lot and Noah were moved. The wicked did not move. The ones who moved were saved. The left behind were destroyed. I think the reason this pre-trib position doesn't want this to be a pre-trib event is because they believe there is a resurrection at the pre-trib event. There is no mention of a resurrection in Matthew 24. The post-trib position argues there is only one resurrection (John 6:39,40,44,54 "last day" and Rev 20:5-6 "first resurrection"). I think they are both 1/2 right. There are two comings but there is only one resurrection. We don't disappear at the pre-trib event (Luke 17:37 and Matthew 24:28).

Who are the ones that are left? If they are believers, then why are they left during the tribulation? Believers during the tribulation will be hiding and running for their lives to escape from being forced to take the mark of the beast? Does this mean he is a post tribulation believer?

I have found that Jesus will answer a question in a way that is least expected. He will answer in ways to make people think and learn. In Luke 17 Jesus says "wherever the body is" not where it isn't. Perhaps He is referring to: The body in the field will be devoured by the vultures and eagles. The body in the bed shall be eaten by the vultures or eagles. Noah and his family were taken to safety. Lot and his family were taken by angles to safety. Believers will be taken to safety.
Jesus reveals what can be revealed in the moment. The question "Where Lord?" could mean; Where on earth will this happen? The mystery of where is learned through time spent with Jesus. The disciples didn't understand where where is when Jesus kept telling them where he is going they can not go with Him. He kept it a mystery for them to learn. The answer of where was learned by the time Jesus ascended up to heaven.
I believe the rapture or as it is known as the catching away or being caught up is what Jesus is talking about in Matthew and Luke. I believe when the Son of Man appears in the clouds that's when believers will meet up in the clouds where Jesus is. When the believers are taken to safety like Noah and Lot, instant Wrath of the Lamb take place. Jesus will meet us up in the clouds as a rally point. Then He and His army will proceed to the earth to pour out wrath on the earth. This all happens so fast, its almost simultaneous.

I think Jesus was saying we don't disappear at the pre-trib event. We leave our flesh on earth. The post-trib position says there is only one resurrection (John 6:39,40,44,54 "last day" and Rev 20:5-6 "first resurrection"). I think they are right.

The days of Noah do not refer to Jesus Christ's coming but to the coming of the armies of the Antichrist to Jerusalem and Judea. The son of man is not Jesus but the Antichrist.
The days of Noah refer to the suddenness of the flood. Like the suddenness of the flood the Antichrist will attack Jerusalem suddenly. One Jew will be taken away prisoner and another Jew will be left in Jerusalem.
Zechariah 14:2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
This parallels the 170 BC invasion of Jerusalem by Antiochus Epiphanies.

      >> One Jew will be taken away prisoner and another Jew will be left in Jerusalem.
Interesting observation. I think Jesus was saying we will leave our flesh on earth at the pre-trib event (Matthew 24:28 and Luke 17:37). When Jerusalem is attack it will be halfway through the tribulation. The first 3.5 years are rough, the second 3.5 years will be horrific. In the first half or second half folks won't be enjoying a normal life (eating, drinking, etc). Consequently, when Jesus comes as a flash of light (Luke 17:24), it has to happen before the tribulation. We don't disappear when we are taken.

  • @mlw636

He has this wrong. He has confused the rapture and Jesus second coming. That isn't about the rapture. It is about the Nephilim and how corrupt the society was then and on how it will be again. The same taint then will be here again. The evil people after the tribulation will still be around on the earth. The 1000 year kingdom is here only to judge those left alive on the earth then tried again when Satan comes for a short period. Then the final judgement.

WRONG - WRONG - WRONG - THE BIBLE STATES THAT
1-IT IS GIVEN ONCE FOR MAN TO DIE
2-FLESH AND BLOOD CANNOT ENTER THE KINGDOM
3-THE DEAD BODY IS LEFT BEHIND AND THE SPIRIT OF THE PERSON
IS TAKEN UP BY THE ANGELS TO BE WITH THE LORD AS WE SEE IN THE BIBLE - MODERN EXAMPLE ARE NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCES.AND THUS THE SPIRIT IS TRANSFERABLE TO A SPIRIT BODY.
