Super unrelated but I watched you years and years ago, and when you were opening up about your ex it gave me the strength to leave my abusive bf at the time. It was really hard and I spent years being single trying to find myself again; but here I am 10 years later, I spent those years making amazing memories with friends and even by myself which I never thought was possible, and I'm lucky enough to have found my absolute soulmate in a partner who I never dreamed I'd "deserve" when I was stuck in that rut years ago. I just can't thank you enough for that nudge, knowing someone else came out the other end as wonderful as you - ahhh thank you Rach!! I hope you're doing amazingly
Oh, I’m super happy for you! Reading your comment gave me some hope for the world of relationships and the fortitude of people in general. I hope you continue to be very happy in your relationship and congratulations on finding your strength ♥️
Oh my gosh, this made me cry. I really hope she reads this!!
Beautiful and Bothered did a whole podcast about the fake reviews at Sephora and it is appalling the percentage of them that are not "real". Thanks as always for the reviews!!
There is nothing real anymore 😡🥲
Yesss! Loved that episode
And this is why I start with the 1-star reviews. Have saved myself so. much. money!!!
Best thing ive ever heard anyone say who was trying to convert to F…”if it’s 100 degrees out, it’s 100% hot. If it’s 50 degrees out, it’s halfway to hot. If it’s over 100 degrees it’s WAY too hot” and I loved that 😂
Quick little conversion for you, I convert Fahrenheit to Celsius by subtracting 30 and then dividing by 2.
Eg, 90 - 30=60.
60÷2= 30
So 90 degrees F is roughly 30 degree C.
Life changing! Thanks for sharing!!!
@@Patti-1962, I use a website on my phone. 92F is 33.3C. Yes, it’s hot.
That is so smart for a quick, rough estimation! Thank you so much! As a European who watches a lot of American UA-camrs and news, I always struggled with it.
my preferred explanation is to think about fahrenheit like a percent -- not at all useful for conversion obviously -- but like 90% is real hot lmao
My Australian friends used to tell me to double the Celsius and add 32. Not exact but close enough. 😂
The prismatic ghost was the best in all the video! Spooky and sparkly, I love it!
L'Oréal has their own hair gloss in shower treatments for about $5-$7 and I *LOVE* them on my platinum/silver hair! Works so so well! I also don't follow directions, I do use it on my roots to ends (says to skip roots).
I seen the L’Oréal hair glaze stuff was wondering if I should or not. So Thx so much for your input I will try it. If I don’t like it I have 3 daughters and I’m sure one will.
Do an episode on kid crafts/gifts
Family/party outdoor fun stuff.. etc! And maybe one for pet products! Travel products! Camping/glamping gadgets!
Your videos are always so current and relevant, and I’m so grateful for that. I just watched a video of someone doing ‘new’ TikTok food hacks and I was like, really?? Rachael did all of these MONTHS ago!
I always say "what can you do when you live in a shoe? Move to a boot and get laced"... lol I haven't heard anyone else use that saying.
My cat would LOVE that humidifier.
yes!
You should try the comfrt sweat sets! The “mental health” hoodie that’s like a weighted blanket etc. I’ve heard mixed reviews, the ones from the influencers who get sent them and then I’ll see people say they aren’t good quality and etc. I want to get one but I havnt seen anyone review them who hasn’t been sent them!
Been curious about this brand as well!
Me too!
Oh my gosh! The ghost is the cutest! Adding to cart pronto!
Can you do a full face of products we’ve forgotten about???
I'm really impressed with how your hair looks after trying this bundle its so shiny and smooth without looking weighed down I love that there's a starter bundle to be able to try the line without spending a fortune
Speaking on the bonding “fun” kids activities. I tried the mini brands resin things with my kids as a fun sleepover activity and it was…. A disaster and not fun at all but super frustrating and messy. So I can relate hard to that.
That ghost is adorable!!❤❤
16:56 As a science teacher, I can assure you that I DO teach C to F conversions. I’m sorry yours clearly didn’t. It is F = C x 9/5 + 32 . The easy (but way less accurate) version is to take the temp in C, double it and then add 30. So 25C times 2 = 50. Then add 30, which = 80F. It is a ROUGH and slightly over estimate to help you figure out whether something is basically hot or cold relative to body temp. Inversely, take your F, subtract 30 and then divide it by two. For example, 60F minus 30 = 30. Now divide it by 2 to = 15C. Again, VERY ROUGH estimate, but close enough for government work.
Or you could google it there is also an app that does the conversiom
Canadians and their jumble of temperature measurements crack me up. 😂
Seriously we’re so messed up. Don’t even get me started on how we measure weights or lengths😂😂😂
i could never get over the fact that they used f for pools but c for outdoors...like why
Third grade teachers every where are screaming ,WE DO TEACH THAT!
Easy conversion from Fahrenheit to Celsius - subtract 30 and divide by 2!!
Yes definitely the keratase one for your hair
I just ordered that viral Scrub Daddy BBQ grill cleaner thing because it was on sale. Mind you, we may not BBQ again until next April, but I'll be ready to test it then. Got sucked in.
They did teach all the conversions in Indian schools, even though temperature is measured in Celsius there. I am now teaching Maths, Physics and Informatics in a German high school in Germany and I teach measurements & conversions actively in my classes, but the students say they have a smartphone. Few students are overjoyed with these conversion/measurement problems and take extra homework to solve them at home. One can't teach somebody something if they aren't interested. By the way, Temperature in Fahrenheit = 1.8*Temperature in C + 32. Temperature in C = (Temperature in Fahrenheit - 32)/1.8. In science, SI unit of temperature is Kelvin though, that's another fun conversion to learn.
I ❤ how your mom mode came out and you invested me to think these jelly thingies HAVE to work😅
Not sure where you are in Ontario, but there are a couple of places with horse simulators. They're like the mechanical bulls except way fancier. Really helped me with my trot to canter transitions. My husband also learned to post with rhythm. Lots of fun to try. One in Niagara area and one north of Port Parry that I know of.
That sounds so cool, what an interesting tool!
I was fully invested in the art section of this video. 🧐 A lot of work, but the characters turned out very cute! 😍
Love how you test these products. Always letting us all know what is a good buy and what is a pass 💗😊
Rachel It Would be real fun if you test infomercial products! The Hair Looks amazing with the glosses.
Thank you for the heads up on the water elves! My five year old would have been sobbing in the corner about it, no question. She does not yet deal well with projects that fail.
Also, that cardigan looks cozy as heck. Love it!
You could keep the little jelly animals in pickle jars. My sisters kept one of those grow animals (think early 2000’s) in a jumbo pickle jar for 20 years (it now lives in my guest room)
I guessed the kerastase side with how it shined. So if you liked it mosdef the kerastase! ❤
I’ve been getting tons of ads for the Aqua Fairies and I was considering it because they look right up my alley. After watching your review…yeah I think I would still love them.
Just putting it out there that just because a review is incentivized doesn't necessarily mean it's not honest! I review products through Influenster and there is no obligation to give a positive review and no penalty if you give a negative review. I am always honest but because I get the product for free to test I have to mark it as an incentivized review. That's why I always read to see if it's actually a thorough review with detail before I write it off entirely 🙂
So awesome!!
Also love that ghost 👻!!!!!
Last Christmas I saw an outdoor prismatic snowman! It was beautiful.
My favorite part about working an office job now is that I can stalk all my favorite youtubers' videos better XD is this what being early feels like? LOL
Can you let me in on the secret? Or is it just the email notification 😅
Some companies monitor what their employees are watching on computers
@@carolinechavez9203 I don't think there is a secret lol, usually i just check anywhere from 9am-11am cause thats when im least busy in the morning. 11 seems to be a good time lmaoo
@@catnip4587 You are correct. Thanks for the concern lol
My cats would think it was a drinking bowl lol
That ghost is too cute!!! :)
The arm length on that cardigan 😍
"For them to just ESPLODE!" - the sadness!
Plllleaaase do more amazon clothes ! :D
My chemistry professor taught me a quick and dirty trick for conversion. C to F, double and then add 30. F to C, subtract 30 and then halve.
It's not precise, but gets you in the realm of the other.
Ex: 30 C would be 30 x 2= 60, plus 30 equals 90F.
Ex: 60 F would be 60-30 = 30, divided by 2 equals 15C.
Google says the first would be 86 F and the second would be 15.55 C
In the states we do teach conversion in Science classes, but unless you go into certain science fields you do not use it regularly, and also conversion calculators and charts exist, so you just reference them.
second!! I really appreciate your efforts and your videos, Rachel!! Thanks a lot!
We had something similar. Called Squishy Chum Chums, they worked and kids loved it
I love watching your videos. I have watched for many years. 😍
I don´t know about Canada but in Germany we lern how to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit even if we don´t use it at all...
I never learned that
Rachel, a tip my husband, a professional cook, gave me: to roughly (emphasis on the "roughly") convert Fahrenheit to Celsius, divide F° in half (for example, 40F° = 20C°). It is not the official math formula to convert them, but it helps 😅 I'm Colombian, live in Colombia (we use C° for everything), and bight my Ninja airfryer on Amazon... so yeah, I use that tip daily 😅
If I'm not mistaken it's a frequency thing. Different frequencies make the water look funny almost as if it's going up. You can try this by finding different water bending frequencies and play them on a loud speaker next to a slither of water falling either from a sink or a hose.
I'm curious how the L'Oréal Wonder Water compares to the Amika & Kerastas formulas. Big differences in price so is it worth it?
You should try the Brad Mondo super gloss treatment it's amazing!!!
Hey, Rachel! I love putting your videos on while getting things done around the house!
Would you mind finding out if this overly sponsored item works? It's a weighted hoodie from the brand Comfort. They have other things, too, but I've been thinking of getting the hoodie for my husband for Christmas. 😁
That prismatic ghost was 1000% my favorite product of the video haha
Can you please do a review on Comfort Brand? It’s been ALL over my feed and I really want to order some for Christmas presents, because it also supports mental health. Thank you!
When you like the video before it even starts because you adore the creator and know it's going to be good. ❤
Hi Rachel, can you please share the brand and color of your lipstick? Is beautiful!!!
for celsius to fahrenheit: no easy conversion, but think of fahrenheit as a percentage of temperature, how it feels to your body. 0% temperature is really really cold. 50% temperature is pretty medium, maybe a little chilly. 100% temperature is HOT like omg I don't think it can get any hotter (spoiler: it can). like 50-75% temperature is a nice place to be
I like the ghost, but it would love a cat! Maybe as a set!
Do those toys shrink up like Orbeez out of water? Would they rehydrate if they did? Inquiring minds want to know.
Love these videos ❤
I work in a pediatric ICU and an adult surgical ICU. Pedi only measures in Celsius, so I have a conversion card on my badge. I’ve learned like 36-39 degrees Celsius is hot. Thats it 😅
26:14 I was born in the 70s and I swear I had a top similar to it but with short sleeves in high school in late 80s-early 90s!!
Love the ghost! I wonder if there are other shapes! 🤔
I feel like weather is where Fahrenheit really shines. 100° is really hot out, 0° is really cold out and 50 is like a light jacket fall day. My husband says 70° is the definitive "room temperature" and humans are just about 98° most of the time, I'm more like 96° and prefer a room to be 68° 😂. See, not one decimal in the bunch!
I like my room temperature to be 62
I would not be able to tolerate that humidifier because it sounds like somebody is peeing
I did one of those water things today - it must have been a knock off as well because we had lots of explosions as well 😅
Okay so I got the mascara, and the first day I wore it my coworker asked if I got my eyelashes done or had falsies on. I don’t have long lashes in any capacity, and I really liked this mascara and it holds, too. I’m hoping they come out with a dark brown or brown.
Celsius conversion is the most complicated conversion ever. I grew up with people refusing metric but it changed and now I know neither accurately. I do know 20c or below is my ideal as a Northern England resident 😂😂 xxx
Have you ever thought of doing a lash perm?
As a fellow 🇨🇦 I feel you on the air temperature in Celsius only and water temperature in Fahrenheit only 😂
The lady at Sephora who gave me a sample told me to start applying my foundation over that primer before it dried down. Maybe that will help? I never wear a primer, but the one time I tried it, everything stayed put!
Ghost is banana and I love that for him.
I love that top on you!!
I was hoping someone would test these water gel toys!!!!
I’ve been using the Amika hair gloss for a while now. I have the exact same hair as you except I’m about 10 years older. So I have lots of little hairs around my face. This gloss smooths them out and doesn’t look heavy or greasy. I think it’s good at fixing hair that is a little damaged. And as an American, I hate that we don’t do Celsius or the metric system. I’m always lost and I hate it.
So far my favorite mascara is by Fenty!
Have you tried lash perm?! I order a kit on Amazon and have a friend or family do it and let me tell you it's amazing! My lashes are just like your stick straight and downward. Lasts almost a month!
I remember a British comedian (can't remember name) said Fahrenheit was good and made sense because it was like saying 80 degrees is 80% hot. 100 degrees is 100% hot. 50 degrees is 50% hot. etc.
Thought I heard you swear and I was like no never 😂😂
Ok I need to know if the straightener brush ok tik tok works???? Please tell me!!!! 😂😂 I want it
°F to °C
°F - 30 = M ÷2.2 =°C (I just round down to 2 to make it easier)
The official formula is
(°F − 32) × 5/9 = °C
If you use boiling for example
Method 1)
212 - 30 = 182
182/2= 91°C
Not nearly as precise.
Method 2 (212-32)*5/9 (or5÷9)
(212−32)×5÷9 =100
Woohooo 🎉🎉 so early… love you
My aunt is old enough to remember when we were in Fahrenheit when she talks I constantly ask her to talk Canadian I just can’t convert low 90’s means nada lol to my brain
If it was 92F at the wedding, it was 33C. Definitely hot!
Whenever you say, "I'm tired of this, grandpa." (Or any variation of it) I always say to myself, "Well that's too damn bad!"
I thought the Amika side looked more shiny and smooth :)
Hi I’m 2010 this is my cute top n jeans lol
Love your content
I keep getting advertised this sweat set that "is like a weighted blanket" that it would be interesting to see you try. I can't remember the brand name. It might be Comfort or Comfrt. 😅🤷🏼♀️
I would LOVE to a self tanning routine video
How was the wedding? We need details girl x
I need to know about magnetic lashes - a thing? Not a thing?
anthropologie dupes are trending, other videos got an anthropologie dupe candle at tj maxx and am anthropologie dupe mirror tray at aldi. After the thrill of so many dupes the customer will consider the authentic brand again.
Love the ghost❤❤❤👻👻 where did you find him?
Careful of products that are 5 stars on Sephora. They use the company influencer with new products to move stars up to 5 stars. People who receive free products are more likely to give glowing reviews (in hope of getting more free stuff even though it doesn't work that way). I've seen new products with 5 stars (and a lot of incentivized reviews) and I come back a year later and it's down to 4 stars.
Can we know what the name of the cardigan is?
2010 going out top and jeans 😂
I imagine there is an app that does conversions
Before I even watch the elf thing I think I know what type of product you're referring to and a channel called Maqaroon where Johanna does more sciency explanations on crafts has a whole video on how to make it work and how this type of craft work.
Amika side is more shiny
Amika looks much better than the Kerastase. I wonder what would happen if you applied both the same what would happen.
@RachhLoves My husband says…What can you do if you live in a shoe…move to a boot and get laced!
8:12 I thought you were gunna say that you hadn't applied them yet, my squirrel brain already forgot you had said you were applying them IN the shower not AFTER the shower and didn't notice a difference-- I also wasn't checking for differences tho, because I thought you hadn't yet, so I re-watched the section and STILL didn't see a difference, hahaha
