It's just the way I've learned over the years how to make weight transfer at any weight .. I know this is an older upload but the rules you lay out still applies today , math and geometry never change . As a new member of the drag race scene and this channel i am trying to learn about set up and how it compares to real world drag cars . One question , with the vertical setup of the rear shocks and the reason for doing it you talked about , i can see how that applies to a solid rear axle but does it still apply to a lower control arm that moves in an arc ? Wouldnt you be more under the shock if the top was laid down ever so slightly ..
Hey Wayne's welcome aboard , and glad you came by .. yes so much as change now. The chassis are very flexible. The rear shocks are completely laid over almost to a triangle.. they don't want any rear suspension movement . Its t all flexible very thin 3 mm chassis.
. that is called sprung weight the suspension, that's to show people you don't have to add weight to the front of your car. use the suspension as you see the car pivots on its pickup point,. Which is created by weight distribution.. the front end doesn't leave the ground.. remember I didn't come up or create any of this it's all from the Bible Jerry Bickel book and I'm glad you're there really good questions... if you want some more in-depth chassis tuning and power management checkout radial tire racing

What Shocks you Run you have Part Numbers or leghts in Front and rear
