Proud of india, for still maintaining the culture to look into stack of files for hours, to see birth records, we came a long way in using modern technology !!!.
It will be tremendous work to transfer 50-100 year old documents into computer. Also all villages are not equipped with computers and all.
Proud of you for not watching full podcast and jumping to sarcasm without knowing the next sentence. He further said they have digitized records
Go watch the full podcast. The birth records are digitized and they did look through them. It was a very nice podcast, you can listen to good minded economists like Uzair for a long time. One of the few pakistanis that you can actually admire for their self reflection and honesty.
" Aur ye wahi sahil hai" - that line literally gave me goosebumps wondering how the idea of partition was an enforced event. People on either sides of the border still look the same, speak the same and have similar problems.

There is a mosque near my home that is maintained entirely by a Hindu, now you cross the border onto Bangladesh or to Pakistan and you will rarely find a Hindu let alone a temple and they have no hope left, the institution itself discriminates against them, if I go back there I will find no sign that my ancestors ever lived here that they ever existed. The only reason we are secular is because we are majority Hindu that is the simple unbridled truth.
Bhai as their is propaganda against India in Pakistan, same is the case against Pakistan in India. Both countries can do a lot more to appease and uplift minorities. However to give you an example of Hindu Muslim harmony in Pakistan, In my CS bachelor class of 2007 comprising 45 students at an elite private sector uni their were 4 hindu guys studying on 100% funded gov scholarship. They are all upper management or successful business owners now. Similarly, under IK a scheme to repair and restore ancient hindu temples was launched with which many ancient temples like "Hinglaj Mata temples" were fully restored and are managed with gov funds. Schemes like this need to continue and be enlarged.
However this is not to say that everything is rosy and bad things don't happen to minorities in Pakistan because they do. Forced conversions in Sindh province are a reality. But they are mainly due to (a) land disputes (The powerful of any religion unfortunately in our sub continent want to take what lil the downtroden have) and (b) the scale is not what is portrayed in the mainstream Indian media.
I don't know why I'm writing this big comment because you will in all likelihood wont believe me. :)

I have always wondered and appreciated the hospitality shown by Pakistanis towards their guests through various youtubers and vloggers. Hope I'll also visit Pakistan one day to experience the same.
India is under development country so it's not 100% developed but it's city are well developed and there are many good infrastructure are made so India is might be 40-50% developed India's villages will also become developed because of present govt.during 2000s in villages hardly any one have phone and they use std calls but now people in village use 4G and do online transaction

I still remember great Congressman Mr. Chidambaram writing article after article against Digitization that it would be a burden for the poor.
Lol Congress introduced the first UIDAI which is the base for all digitisation...
@@_opinion_4956 However, con-gress wanted it to be only a proof of identity. It's the BJP government that made huge strides in digitization. U may want to check out Nandan Nilekani's interview regarding this
They said about phased digitisation process, but current government went ahead did Demonetisation to fasten the digitisation process by cashless economy whose cost is paid by choas among people, unnecessary deaths, slowed economic progress ,as we were fastest growing economy. All of these problems still exist. So they were somewhat right on that matter, many people still suffer, bank fraud increased too which no one thought about.
Digitisation could have done in much secure manner. Especially when our government is in majority party type. Decisions could have been better. But we see rushed decisions rather then considerate thoughtful decisions which anyone would like.
