Glad you got your green card. Makes things easier for life in China for you. In every country that gives out green cards to foreigners the procedures and waiting times are quite long. Malaysian permanent residency cards takes years for some and some don't even get it until they passed away sadly.
Congrats. It's definitely a huge achievement for anyone who wants to live or work abroad. These things are harder to get now compared to 10 years ago. Hope you enjoy your stay in China. The living and travelling expenses are much more cheaper. For me the Internet blocking is always an annoying issue.

I applied last May so I'm hoping I can get some news before Chinese New Year. 2022 I've been in China for soon 7 years and applied by the professional path and the paperwork was 真烦 haha but fingers crossed! I heard you can use that card to reenter China and no need for your own passport (not sure if that is true or not). I applied because I plan to stay in China forever and renewing the work permit and residence visa every year is such a hassle, especially if you change jobs.

绿卡:不等同國籍，绿卡也就是可以長期居留證，每個國家規定不一，有的是二竿，三年，五年期間到了再加鉴ok了
