    Thank you for this video! I've been wanting to try combining a nail tip with a dual form because the underside of the polygel nails gets so lumpy sometimes, lol! It looks like it would save time on filing!

    Tfs. Very beautiful! I wish I had you as my teacher when I was going to cosmetology school. I really loved my teacher, but she specialized in hair, and really couldn't give me much advice on acrylic/gel structure, application, etc. When I was trying to apply acrylic and asked if it looked correct, she would be honest and said that she had no idea. 😢

    Hey thanks for the video! I love how you try to give viewers the most cost effective option - theres so much cost inflation by big brands just because it has their name on it! Question - I need a new lamp. Some of the polygel kits include a 32w lamp, but that's not very powerful as far as lamps go. Should I separate and go with a 50w, is it necessary for polygel? Thank youuu! :D

    Been watching a lot of these tutorials and I must say this is one of the best! Just tried polygel w duo forms (not a pro) at home for first time ever w a cheap starter kit from Amazon by Cooserry and was astonished at how well it worked! All except the bottom is thick n sloppy … and my mail beds are tiny, short flat thin round… so no lifting yay but 2 broke, so I’m like hey what if I use a tip under! So I’m def thinking I found my magic recipe! I have no rotary file but I love the links you gave to those bits. already clicked and have em in cart! They’re way on sale. I used cookery base before applying the gel over but I may try the young nails you rec, too :) aliexpress takes too long for my patience ha. Well I’ve only shopped their once got rad lavender humanhair lace front wig for great price… I did find a fast shipper but still… ok so thanks! Just wanted you to know! Cause I watch a lottt of vids. On same topics all the time and yours stands out :)
    Question: I’m also curious about the full gel nails w poly… like apres x (& other cheaper brands (to which I’d ask you if you have recommendations for this. Sometimes it’s hard on Amazon to tell if they are reallly gel or just plastic. And if more money is worth it. (Also alcohol fir slip! Right? Why do they sell that other stuff?)) but I like that they have a short stiletto, as this is my go to) do you use gel over? Poly? Best way to secure it to the nail, most specifically. Cause if things didn’t pop off so easy, the world of manicuring would be different in the first place. I guess the gel “tips” cure / attach w gel too rather than glue and this is the diff.. . Ya? Thanks!!!

    I don't guess I get how your putting the tip on. Tips are a new concept for me. Well, truthfully, it all is new to me, but especially the tips? What kind of adhesive are you using? And why the tips instead of a dual form or those papery stick on forms? O.k. so, the tips are to keep the gel from under the nail... ?

    • @YeseniaEstrellaDeAnda
      @YeseniaEstrellaDeAnda  2 роки тому

      Yes the tip is just to about having to file any polygel from under the nail the tip stays on so its a smooth finish underneath. The dual form pops off and gives a smooth finish on top. It's a few more steps but all in all it's easier for those beginner or people who don't want to sit and file any leakage or extra polygel

    • @YeseniaEstrellaDeAnda
      @YeseniaEstrellaDeAnda  5 років тому +1

      It's preference I use it becouse I don't want any of the polygel to get under my nail and then I usually have to use a drill to file under my nail using a top prevent any filing all I do is file the sidewalks to shape it and buff the top before top coat.

    Can i do infill with polygel on acrylic overlay nails?

    • @YeseniaEstrellaDeAnda
      @YeseniaEstrellaDeAnda  5 років тому +2

      Yes you can I mix enhancements all the time you just have to make sure if your using gel or polygel you need to use a base and if you use acrylic you need a primer. You dehydrate all nails that are getting infill. I miss gel and acrylic all the time just make sure you properly prep your nails. I will put it on my list to make a video on mixing different type of enhancements. Hope that helps.

    Hey do you still use the polly gel and if so what brand. Also what’s the removal process. Being in university I really can’t afford doing my nails done at a salon every 2 weeks so though I will learn to do it myself. However before purchasing anything I really need to know what work for beginners and is actually good.

    • @YeseniaEstrellaDeAnda
      @YeseniaEstrellaDeAnda  5 років тому +5

      Yes I still do, I used the same one I show on this video. Poly-gel is very light and not heavy like acrylic but it does take as long as acrylic does to apply and if your a beginner it wont be perfect the first few times. If you have the time and patience then definitely go for it. if your looking for strength and not as time consuming then I recommend no chip gel polish manicure or soak off gel manicure. I use BIAB gel and do only two layers of clear then polish and it last longer than no chip manicures do and it super easy to do at home. plus soak off gel and no chip are removed the same way by soaking off. I have a no chip manicure video and a gel manicure video you can take a look at to see if its something for you.

    I’m looking to purchase a poly gel kit but due to so many types and different brands available I don’t know which ones are truly legit or fake bc there are so many mixed reviews from all these UA-cam reviews!! How do you know which brand/kit to buy?? Also from watching so many reviews your the first person I’ve seen to of used a tip and a dual form. I thought bc of the dual form with the poly gel you’d no longer have the need for tips bc the polygel acts as the tip. Can someone explain to me why the tip is being used and if you have to use a nail tip first? The only thing I thought it could be was that she wants her nails to have more sturdiness for long time wear or she simply likes have my thicker nails bc she does nails for a living and exposed to harsh chemicals daily that eat away at the nail. Sorry for the dumb probably common sense questions but I’m new to the whole polygel era and have only worked with acrylics, pink & white as well as the dipping method but never polygel. All the videos I’ve watched make it too easy to be true. I’d like to know and hear from people who haven’t had the best experience using this type of product and why? What brand is the best brand and formula kit to buy? I’d really like to know everyone’s thoughts please?? 😊

    • @YeseniaEstrellaDeAnda
      @YeseniaEstrellaDeAnda  5 років тому +1

      It's not a dumb question. Thanks for commenting ❤️ it's honestly preference, I have tried many high end brands and I didn't like them and returned them so far I like this brand it's a cheap brand from AliExpress. If your looking for a known brand name and a high quality name brand then I would look at the brands that are out now most if not all brands have polygel now. Look at the review they leave on the polygel look at the pros and cons and try a few until you find the one you prefer. Also I use the tip becouse I like a clean finish underneath. After applying polygel you will see sometimes you get some underneath then you have to file it down and it's a pain to try and file it out. So I do it because it's what I like to do to make my application neat. But that just what I do no one has to do it. Also everyone is diff not everyone will like the same products or have the same techniques to do nails. I see it as I take what I like or what works for me and always try new ways and things becouse you never know what works for you until you try. Hope it helped.

      Yes! I actually started to just use acetone instead of alcohol and it works great! Thanks for watching my video and commenting 😁

    I did this on my 16 yr old granddaughter, the problem we had was she bites her nails and the quick is showing at the end of her nails, so the nail tip didnt have alot to adhere to. What would you suggest for the best hold?

  • @sunflower6434

    Did you put a glue on tip on all your nails, or just that one finger/thumb, (forgot - sorry)
    And where did you buy your alcohol bottle from?
    I've got a plastic one and my alcohol or acetone evaporates quickly from it.

    Hi there thank u for reply. I mean some people have oily nails n the polygel dont last long.so is anything u can do for oily nails??

    • @YeseniaEstrellaDeAnda
      @YeseniaEstrellaDeAnda  5 років тому +6

      make sure you dehydrate the nails and if it takes you longer than 20 min to apply the base or polygel re-dehydrate the nail. after 20min the natural oils from your nails come back and lifting can happen. also you can gently buff the nail to remove any particles or traces of oils.

    Hello, I'm new to your channel.
    Did you use normal alcohol? What type of file u used to file your nails?
    I would love to see a video of encapsulation with polygel without tip...
    Thank you.

    • @bryrayne9666

      If it's gel based you use 50% alcohol but if it's acrylic based then you use regular 99%. Do not use 99% on gel based polygel it will break it down and leave white residue. And don't use a lot. Only to where the brush is damp. You use a 100/180 grit file.

      @YeseniaEstrellaDeAnda  5 років тому

      cutegatcha kitten I'm so sorry I thought I responded to you!!!! The caps come with swatched colors on them and if they don't you can remove the plastic cap and add the polish and cure it then put the cap on.

  • @bryrayne9666
    @bryrayne9666 4 роки тому +1

    Not all the alcohols work the same for every polygel that's not true. 99% with gel based polygel Breaks it down and leaves a white residue but 50% doesn't. 99% is only great for acrylic based polygel as it does not break it down.

    Hoping you can give me some tips. When I first do my nails they look decent enough. But by the 2nd or 3rd day, the product around the cuticle seems to start lifting. Ive tried with/without dehydrator, with/without base coat, i dont push the product too close to my cuticle. I also tried buffing/filing lightly the whole nail after i remove the forms, but no matter what i always lifts. Help🥺😭

    • @YeseniaEstrellaDeAnda

      I personally use the base coat becouse I have had the polygel last week's with no issues. A few of my students did test out different brands without a base and after a few day to week they started popping off. It's up to you and your preference but I would stick to using a base specially if you or your clients have oily nails.

    • @adrianneabraham1434
      @adrianneabraham1434 5 років тому +2

      Absolutely not! The base coat is what the polygel needs to adhere to! The nail will cure and then, pop right right off like a dual form!! 😂😂😂😂 hope I helped

You didn't mention it either. (Unless I missed it) I'm new to this whole process. When do you cure the nails or does this product not need curing? Thx

      I wouldn't, polygel is its own nail enhancements. Now you can add nail tips to your natural nail then add polygel on top but not the other way around. Hope that helps ❣️

      @YeseniaEstrellaDeAnda  5 років тому +1

      When you add the polygel thin it out on the plactic dual form before applying it to your nail. As well as thin it out on the free edge so most of the product stay toward the center. If you press the dual form to hard then the polygel will spill out onto the cuticle and sides. Less is more.

    • @YeseniaEstrellaDeAnda
      @YeseniaEstrellaDeAnda  5 років тому +1

      The peeling of polygel is do to the polygel either being to close to the skin. If it touches the skin the polygel won't stay it will pop right off. If the nail plate isn't properly dehydrated and cleanse that can cause lifting too. For the nail tips to stick I would recommend making sure you don't accidentally touch the nail bed becouse oils from the sling can go in between the tip and nail and make it pop. Also dehydrating the nail and not using too much glue on the tip. Another thing I can think of is size, making sure your using the right size tip for the nail. Thanks so much I appreciate the support! I will definitely be making a video on how to apply tips to the natural nail. ❤️💅
