      I bought it for that reason. It's fun to play with. Down side is I take forever doing my nails because I could pat that stuff down forever. Its so satisfying LOL.

    I did so enjoy watching this tutorial , I’m sold on this Poly Gel....!!!! As far as time goes, how is it compared to builder gel and/or acrylics? Also is the slip the same thing as using alcohol and can alcohol be used instead of slip?

    • @isabelmaynails
      @isabelmaynails  6 років тому +1

      thank you, I would say roughly the same amount of time! its slightly different, using alcohol overtime would ruin your brush so I defiantly advise getting the slip solution

    I would like to start a full set of polygel nails, home application, with the pink & white ombre tip (french manicure look) and maintain them for a long time. The question I have is when my nails grow longer an I need 2 do fill ins
    how do I keep the white ombre color tip at the start of my nail tips as the continue to grow?

    I am having a major issue with the bright white. It is incredibly soft and seems like it doesn't cure fully. I am starting to think that it is not designed for sculpting extensions at all. Someone mentioned using the clear or light pink to sculpt the length first, then a thin layer of white, then another layer of clear or light pink. Have you had any experience with this, Isabel?

    I have seen different things... one saying do not buff the nail because it won’t allow the top coat to stick... and another saying do use a buffer... I’m assuming that scuffing with no buffer is when you use gel color over the nail and the buffer is used when you just use a clear top coat. Is that correct?

    But how do you do if you want to change the color of the base? You keep doing your nails and adding the new colour, so that in a few months the old colour is all gone and you can refill with the new one? (I don’t know if that makes sense at all)

  • @AaronW-ww4ds
    @AaronW-ww4ds 6 років тому

    Poly gel is by far the best doesn't get everywhere and you get more time with it as it doesn't set until you put it in your lamp unlike acrylic where it starts to set quickly but poly gel has the strength of acrylic but the easiness of a gel

      Sam Padilla a longggg time lol. I saw a video of a nail tech soaking hers off, she had them on for 3 weeks and they still looked brand new. It went as simple as you made it in this video! I was shocked. I even did my opposite hand just as well as my dominant hand!

    Would capping in clear give a similar look? Or would it cloud it a bit I know it’s not completely clear.

      Luxe & Lush the reason I used sheer pink is it helps to create the babyboomer effect/blend. You could try with clean but it would not look that great I don’t think xxx
