Thanks yammie for the vids... You inspired me to take my love for motorcycles to a new level.. I'm getting a 250cc enduro bike and I'm only 14...happy riding from south africa
I did the same thing, started riding on my mates crf100 and then got a ktm exc250f for my 15th birthday, its not hard to get used to it and u wont wanna upgrade for at least a year
The only issue with putting aftermarket exhausts on single cylinder engines is that it really emphasises that it *is* a single cylinder. It does sound a lot better than the original and I love the top end roar, however after owning a smallish single cylinder bike and putting a slip-on on it, it certainly had its drawbacks
Just got a Leovince GP Corsa Evo on my 500R couple weeks ago. She sings, pops, and crackles like a beauty now. The sleek carbon exhaust also just adds an amazing new aesthetic and the approx. 8lb weight savings is nice too.
Here in my garage... just bought this new RC390, it's fun to drive here in the Hollywood hills. But you know what I like a lot more than materialistic things? WHOOLIES
Wicked looking exhaust, really suits the bike. Also a lot of slip-ons remove the big collector, which is a huge amount of weight between the muffler and collector. That alone can make a big difference to handling, as it's often unsprung weight with the big collector.
Have a 2023. The stock silencer looks great w/o the heat shield. Drilled the outer screen w/ 2 3/8"carbide hole saw, drilled dB killer w/ 1 11/16 " saw. Painted inside w/ bar b q black. $50 in saw bits. Did it while mounted, fished out dB killer w/ coat hanger. Sound entirely like Leo Vince or Acrapovich. Though heavier than carbon fiber. 😊
Single cylinders sounds a lot better when riding compared to just reving, they need kind of resistance. Great video as always. Also, if you want more sound, you can get a decat pipe for maybe $100 instead. Removing the cat will increase exhaust flow and keep the engine cooler.
BaconWhip I always thought increasing flow without tuning leads to the bike running lean and that in turn causes the engine to heat up and breaks down over time. Hence why they tell you you have to tune with a full exhaust
You are going to love riding the hill country vs the north Texas roads ... it is the main reason I moved back. You need to ride the roads between Vanderpool and Rocksprings. Those are probably the best in the state for twisties.
Leo Vince LV-10 on my CBR 300R sounds like a fucking banshee. Pisses off everyone who is unlucky enough to pull up beside me at a red light. Needless to say, I love it.
I got a rc too and i bought the GPR exhaust slip-on. I have to say that the GPR exhaust sounds even better than the Leo Vince in my opinion. It is also much louder. The GPR slip-on exhaust would be my recommendation. Still good exhaust video though :P
My friend has the 2021 RC390 and he’s taken the exhaust off it and it has the loudest sound ever. Almost sounds like a Harley but it goes hardd asfffff. It’s gonna be my next bike
When you get a full system, you have to tune it so you end up paying 2000$ for a smither more performance and sound. When you can get almost the same sound for 500 with just a slip on and no tune required unless your slip on drastically changes exhaust lenght.
I’d suggest a bunch of collapsable greenscreens but with white background and put them outside of the garage so you dont have to be so cautious about the camera angles
How does it sound compared to just core drilling out the baffle on the stock exhaust? I have a 2020 Duke 390 with the stock exhaust and baffle removed and it sounds really good. I'm very happy with it. Costs like $20 for a core bit and 20-30 mins of your time.
Will there be a video series converting the new garage into "The Utlimate Motorcycle Garage" accompanying the channel? Congrats on the move. I know it can be a pain in the ass.
Please put the link of the exhaust if you bought it online......and please mention how much it cost you for buying that exhaust.... Or did you bought it from ktm showroom?
They substituted the 12mm for a spare 10mm, as without a doubt the first 10mm will go missing.... Then the spare on will too.... Its only a matter of time
Did you read the manual before installing it? I think you put the mounting clamp in a wrong position. Your silencer could vibrate and potentially breaking the v band or the joints.
Rc 390 doesn't need any custom exhaust you just drill out the db killer (baffle) from stock muffler and it sounds 1000 times better than this custom exhaust
Does this slip on fit the '19 KTM 390 Duke? I'm thinking of getting the 390 Duke as a first motorcycle and def wanna do a slip on. Not sure which one is best yet though. Does the silencer insert come out? Prob would sound even better.
You need to get the cat illuminator for that bad boy also. And you do not have to remap the brain. It will work better if you do, but it will work just fine without remapping.
I know this question is not related to the exhaust or anything but by any Chance do you know where I can purchased a side stand(kick stand) assembly (OEM), for the same bike you are riding in this video
I have a 390 Duke (2016). Would this exhaust fit on my bike? I know the bike in this vid is a 2017, but I don't really know the difference between the RC and the Duke besides the fairings because I'm a dumb
You need a workench and some shelf some other system to store your stuff in there. It would look and feel much less like some post sowiet country backyard workshop.
It, like all singles sounds terrible imo. If you want a fury at all you need a large capacity vtwin or a 4 cylinder bike. It's just more drone but you've spent a load of money.
They can be replaced with aftermarket or the OEM LED from India, it's just to meet U.S. regulations. I like the integrated signals to the mirror but have yet to see what all would take to convert.
Dude, this is totally out of topic, but where did you buy your ahegao stickers? Planning on buying a Hyosung GTR 125 in the near future, and I think I will hentai wrap it for shits and giggles.
I just got an 18 Duke 690 and am rlly looking at the Acropovic exhaust. Does anyone know how much performance difference u get with the full kit vs the slip-on?
Thank you very much for the video! I am writing to you from Argentina! I was seeing that you have the impeccable motorcycle. Could it bother you, asking you to pass me all the accessories you put on it? I saw details in the naphtha tank, in the engine (it looks like a cover) and others. I just bought an RC390 and I want to leave it as yours! Sorry for the inconvenience and a thousand thanks! (And sorry for my bad English)
New exhaust so good almost louder than the cooling system❤️
Know this way too well
Lol yeah. If he took the DB killer out, it would definitely be louder than the fan.
lmao ded
LOL

I honestly like the stock exhaust on the rc on any ktm honestly
Thanks for the video! I came up on a 2020 ktm rc390 and im searching for a slip on with a nice sound. Super Helpful!

Welcome to Austin!!!! You should hold a meet up homie, I personally would love to meet the infamous scammy pube!!! 💯✌🏼😎
Papa yam just gave me a new exhaust , thanks
My 390 has an arrow gp2. It messes the fuel mixture but it sounds hilarious. I haven’t heard anything better IMO

Dont talk smack about that bike. That's a very good motorbike. Decent power and features
For your gf maybe
Awesome content Papa Yam :)
Please put the link of the exhaust if you bought it online......and please mention how much it cost you for buying that exhaust.... Or did you bought it from ktm showroom?
Your garage looks remarkably similar to the one I had when I was living in an apartment in Round Rock.
I got the 2 bro’s full exhaust on mine & it looks better (under the back seat) not by the tire & it sounds better
They substituted the 12mm for a spare 10mm, as without a doubt the first 10mm will go missing.... Then the spare on will too.... Its only a matter of time

Not to mention the black gloves like a pro. A classy holdup if you will.
Big bend, hard to consider part of Texas? You should try the terlingua Texas motorcycle event.
Take out the db? It sounds much better without the db. You should also buy a mid pipe
Heres to hoping i get this rc390 arguably one of my favorite bikes
Great sound
Austin is great little city

What's is the price of this exhaust ?
Love from India ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
You should take out the decibel eater, gives it alot lower and better sound.
With that change of muffler, you don't need a new ECU setting to prevent damage?
aren't you supposed to use a spring instead of a hook clamp? that's the first slip-on i've ever seen without a spring.
There are other slip on quiet like this one? Sound is pretty nice. What about homologation? It`s legal or not?
So there's a Triumph dealer near my house and he's giving showroom test ride bikes for 55% off. I wish I had money :(
sounds like my dirt bike
Whats the difference between slip-on exhaust and full system exhaust?
Good job done...🤘

Yes
YAM! do i have to pay to be put in the running for the bike drawing? much love from the yankee noobs of Michigan's upper peninsula.
How did you get that bad ass scar? Looks like you fought off a shark attack

take out the DB killer. then you get better sound.
So now you have a loud 40 hp bike.. cool.
Remove the DB-KILLER and it will be louder than you expect 😂
Sounds like a 4 stroke dirt bike
You put the holder of the exhaust on wrong, the silencer now has play which it shouldnt have
Where did you find an apartment with such a great garage?
Did you take out the DB KILLER?
Why the back indicator too big and chunky is that after market? Cos indian version has pretty good looking led ones
American Regulations
