Wtf. 3 reps of the first exercise has already almost completely taken away my shoulder pain. 2 years multiple dr appointments, a script for painkillers and there was only slow improvement over that entire time. 3 reps and now I have the same range in both shoulders, with just a tiny ping of pain at the extreme.
Miraculous, what can I say other than that. The osteopath and numerous videos professing to have the cure for shoulder impingement did little to alleviate 18 months of utter frustration. Then I came across this video and have since purchased the SMM on the basis of the results I got from these three wonder moves. A week in and I was noticing a difference but I dared not to believe. Another week and there was no mistaking that something was happening, yet such was my previous experience I still did not allow a smile of triumph. However after a month, I dropped my defences, I had no choice, the pinching had gone from a 10 down to a two. And I believe that two is based more on muscle memory than reality. Thank you Tom and Jenni from the bottom of my heart.
Tom this is brilliant; I’ve been suffering with an impingement for over a year. I’m going to stick to this daily and report back. Thank you both so much
The differentiation on these three exercises was crazy for me. I can do the 2nd and 3de no problem, but the first one (on one side) I’m basically stuck in the stretched arm starting position! I will try these for a while and look at upper back movement more after. Thanks!
Thanks Tom. 🤞🏽 this works for me. I had an op for my left which worked now my right is giving me the same hassle. I hope these work without the op. I’ll get back to you on my progress 👍🏽
Thanks for this. Does shoulder impingement always feel like pinching? I sometimes get soreness at the front of my shoulder, almost like a nerve is being stretched there. It tends to happen when I move my arm and my shoulder is rolled forwards. Compression forces, like in a bridge press or side plank, tend to leave it aggravated for a while too, but it never feels like pinching.
Sounds more like an irritation yeah! Could be more stability related if your range is ok with no restrictions, things like bottoms up kettlebell presses would be good to test on each side to see if there’s a noticeable difference in strength
I had frozen should years ago and though that is fixed, I'm r noticed it is starting again. Every day I rotate my arms to try and keep my shoulder from locking up. Thank you for this video, I can add these movements and hopefully keep my shoulders healthy.
Hi! I love you guys! You have saved me from surgery! Doing really great with your SMM workout. But I’m wondering and have been waiting for you to address why it’s more advantageous to do the shoulder rotations while on all fours as opposed to just sitting and rolling your shoulders the way Jennie did before getting on all fours? Besides the fact that it’s so hard to do, so I don’t tend to do it, just doing the shoulder rotations sitting, as part of my routine every morning to get this body moving, seems to do the trick. Thank you for everything!🥰
You want the feedback of pressure from the ground and you want to train the ability to dissociate the elbows from the shoulders too, when you’re upright you allow everything to move at the same time, there’s benefits to both like, so just do both 💪🏼
i have no idea what impingement means but i know you always have great advice and execution of your explanation so i will do what youre doing in the video no matter what
@@exothermic8525 oh. thank you sir. i felt that type of pain during a period of intense workout and i tried your tip @TomMorrison and it feels a Lot better! Keep up yäthe good work guys
After lingering pain in front of my shoulder, was diagnosed with joint degeneration (nice way of saying early arthritis). Physio helped, and I’ve continued the exercises, but now want to strengthen my shoulders. Would these exercises help me?
Hi I have right shoulder joint pain and weakness. I am doing lots of shoulder exercises alternate days and feel flexible yet the pain persists, shall I just keep doing it all ? Is there anything else I can do? Thanks

No reason it can’t be helped, sounds like you went to the wrong doctor for it, hit up a good sports physio and start doing our stuff daily and you could totally rewrite how it feels
Could you do a shoulder video for people in a wheelchair, please? People who wheel themselves around all day develop all sorts of issues, but they can’t do a lot of the amazing exercises you show because they are in a sitting position.
Have you checked out Jenni’s 26 minute shoulder follow along yet?? You’ll need to do a little bit of adapting but I reckon a few run throughs of it and you’ll have a tonne of ideas!! I’ll put some seated things on our list to make!
@@TomMorrison I have adapted where I could, but I wanted one where my brother could just follow along when I’m not there. Thank you so much for your videos!
Please read my story. I've been dealing with shoulder impingement for over three months. After watching countless videos on exercises and stretches on UA-cam and diligently following them with perseverance, I feel like for every step forward, I take one step back. While these exercises offer immediate relief-let’s be honest, ‘immediate’ really means ‘temporary’-I’ve only experienced slight improvement overall. My question is: HAS ANYONE OF YOU EVER COMPLETELY HEALED FROM SHOULDER IMPINEGEMENT ONCE AND FOR ALL??? If you have, please share your experience and story in the comments. I’m feeling frustrated and desperate, and any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your kind reply. Been at the Physio for 15 months and 2 cortisone injections. I have 2 large rotator cuff tears..sub scap and supra spinatis and bursitis. But I will hope for the best.
I think your psychic. I've been struggling with this for months and then your email turned up, I don't know why I didn't turn to you first, you helped years ago for the other side 🙉. 3 days in and hardly any ouchy, 2 weeks later I've started the shoulder dislocates and no pinching. Also the huge knot in my upper trap is gone. Such a relief. Just wanted to say a massive thanks for all that you do 😊.
unfortunately my movement on the first one is minimal. I can barely retract it. I'll keep trying but shoulder is definitely locked down and it hurts to do so.
@@TomMorrison Numerous over the years. Originally they're said I had a torn rotator cuff and performed surgery, but that left me in more pain. Ever since then I've been in and out of physio and now they're saying that I have bursitis. All the exercises that the physio gave me caused flare ups. I'm stuck in a loop of rehab > flare up > rest for days/weeks > repeat

Hey Tom, can we do more than 3 reps or should we just do the 9 reps total??
I've done so many exercises and stretches from many different videos. This has been far and away the most helpful for me. Thank you.
You're so welcome! Keep them up for a good while!
@TomMorrison I will certainly. Thank you again. Feeling super hopeful for the first Time in ages
