    Welcome! These musical clips are from a large video collection that is now being converted from VHS/Beta to digital. There is some viewing quality loss from the original video source due to the age of the tapes, but the performances are preserved and still a joy to view. I'm finding many lost performances from vintage R&B, Soul, Pop, Broadway, Cabaret and other performances. This channel will be the Ed Sullivan channel for the digital generation, something for everyone to enjoy. Many of the performances will be seen for the first time since they were originally televised. I will be adding many musical performances from a variety of sources that I hope you will enjoy. Please hit the like button if you can.

    Well the true nature of her stature is instantly revealed by the standing spontaneous ovation she received from a typically jaded sort of crowd who are not easily impressed or particularly star struck. But she was something else all together and they all knew it. Elizabeth is the last of a breed of genuine immortal movie stars.

    My one regret... having never seen or met Elizabeth Taylor... ☹
    But my grandfather's cousin,
    actor Keefe Brasille, was in
    "A Place in The Sun" with her.
    He was in the opening scene with Montgomery Cliff, and later at the party scene, when Elizabeth and Montgomery danced, with the

    "Elizabeth Taylor"
    Miss Charm!.. She is, the same one, shining, hypnotically beckoning and inaccessible, from us inexorably retreating Universe "Elizabeth - Woman of Women".
    I can’t help but admire you.
    I look at the screen - and tears drip.
    The thunder of enthusiastic applause has subsided -
    You appeared in the world, being great prose!..
    Blue eyes, their bottomless depths,
    Conquered the souls of giants.
    Internally - gullible and modest.
    Externally - the noise of the palace fountain!
    From a calm note to an inner tear -
    Sometimes she was obedient, sometimes naughty ...
    She is cute and enchanting, fabulously beautiful! -
    Refined feminine forms.
    Exciting our blood with its charisma,
    With the gift of sensual hypnosis -
    Sometimes, she quickly flew like a comet, through life -
    Sometimes, our beauty just blossomed, being a shy rose:
    Caravel among fishing boats;
    Queen, in the midst of ordinary people;
    Cleopatra! - Passionately, but with genuine care...
    Her femininity radiated everywhere!
    Having absorbed life with a field blade of grass,
    Keeping the spirit - with a share of the lovely eccentricity of the wind, by the bird -
    Shining with witchcraft nature,
    Great! “She is a true sovereign!”
    Woman - a shining world;
    Mother-night of the universal beginning -
    With the light of the moon, she has silvered us,
    She sanctified us with crystal clearness!..
    She swam softly through the sky like a young month.
    She smiled at us in a pink sunset ...
    The time of triumph has stopped -
    It was marked by thunder and lightning!

    Met a taxi driver who picked her up at the Stuttgart airport. She was with a lady friend. This was back in the 70s. He said she seemed very nice so he started conversing with her.
    He had seen all her films and he asked about them. Especially "Lassie," "Who's afraid" and Cleopatra. She answered all his questions and he listened intently.
    It took an hour to get to the destination. She gave him the biggest he ever got in life.
    Another taxi driver in Stuttgart told me that he picked up Keith Richards.. Richards realized he recognized him so he sat in the passenger seat. Richards told him the limo never showed and he had to get to a Stones concert right away. Richards talked to him about this and that. When they got to the destination, Richards realized the guy wanted his autograph but was afraid to ask so Richards asked him and he gave it to him. He gave a 100 on a fair that cost 20 and told him to keep the change. Said he was one of the nicest people he ever met in his life.

    It's easy to see why Richard Burton and all those 1000s of other men fell in love with E.Taylor.

    Her messing up the name of one of the most prominent producers and just losing it with laughter is just so endearing. I’m in love.

    Obviously she’d had a couple of jack D’s before coming out. But only a Star of this magnitude, beauty, wit, grace, exuberance and elegance, can pull this off.
    Her light may have diminished here on earth, but only to shine brightest in the Heavens.

    I don't really give a fuck about "Gee! She was on pills + booze!...". Dame Taylor has always had joy of life in her inner, after all. That contributed making her one among the greatest actresses on planet Earth, despite the whole sorrows she had to pass through (griefs, illness, serious ups and downs).

    Interesting that Richard Burton in his last letter said I want to come home. Just as interesting that one of the last things Elizabeth did when asked if she would marry again was howl loudly "No-o-o!" When men become as enchanting and riveting in personality and heart as Elizabeth this planet will be very interesting.

    The fact that she did this was amazing and karma! 😂
    During the beginning of her affair with Burton he evidently wailed that she was this Hollywood nothing! 😂😂

    I love Elizabeth, but did she not prepare at all before she went out there? At least everyone seemed to be having a great time.
