So many commenters talk about the character design, but to me the overall look of the game is much prettier than previous Atelier games. It really draws me in to the "summer adventure" relaxing gameplay that Gust is promising. I also like the changes they made to combat, exploration & alchemy. This is shaping up to be my most-played game next month!
I agree with you. I will admit Ryza's design caught me at first but I was always skeptical since character design doesn't always translate to the rest of the game. Luckily for this game we have an attractive main character, a gorgeous environment design, an interesting gameplay.
And when you learn that they gave the character designer free rein to design the characters, there was talk about he spent a long time getting her thighs and ass cheeks correctly to be perfect, yet not worthy of a censorship or a change in the rating of the game.
Good to hear about the timelimit. I like to have some kind of time in game to indicate progress, but definitely not have it being a limiter since I tend to just explore a lot in games collecting random items and sink in the scenery.
This will be my first Atelier Game and i can't wait to play it. I was interested in the Atelier Series for a long time but never got myself to buy and play it. It does represent truth - but only if you are prepared to sacrifice your own humanity (and possibly your brother’s too) in exchange for thicc, thicc, thighs. And if you do, the truth it revealed to me was that anime is trash ... and so am I.
Im really glad theres no timelimit, I played Atelier annie growing up and always got the bad ending as I was bad at juggling the dungeon crawling with the alchemy. I miss the good games of Gust, Mana Khemia series, before everything transformed into a "weabo money grabbing" annual fest, with bland light hearted story, full of cute/sexy designs and no character depth at all. (not like sexy and cute stuff it's bad, but it becomes a problem when the focus in just on that instead of more important aspects like a good story) The music is still good (they use the music of "the golden age" of gust games with some mixes here and there, it's good, the gameplay could be improved upon the one of mana khemia tho.
@ALJustice0 by "unanimous" you mean kids who only knew of Atelier because of Iris and Mana Khemia. Right, I should believe what they're talking about /s
@ALJustice0 if you think saying the truth is a "fallback" (sure ignore the Salburg and Gramnad games), then you are so far up in your wrong opinion that I doubt you would ever get out of it.
@ALJustice0 once again, your "community" consists of Western kids whose impression was shaped by the black sheep of the series (Iris). There's a reason why they reverted back to their form because the real fans did not want it and Gust simply delivers. You can be salty all you want about it, but it won't change anything.

No you didn't.
Ryza and her thighs.
Thicc thighs save lives. (:
Really BOTW, if were talking about look the Tales of series is a much better comparison.
Oh shut the fuck up. Atelier games are always like this.
@ALJustice0 An ad hominem. The final nail in the coffin. Can't come up with anything at this point. Time to pack up and go home.
