I've been waiting years for this. Calibrate is a fantastic feature. I have 2 USOs, 3 Ninja Vs and a Zoom F8n. Can the Atomos module connect to the F8n as well as the F6?
Can I jam sync the Atomx Sync device and if so, how? I have Tentacle Sync E devices, all my cameras have to be LTC'ed, and I prefer to keep a Sync E on my Zoom F4, but use it's Sync E to Jam sync devices that can be jam sync'ed. Since the Atomx Sync device doesn't have a coax port, not exactly sure how this would be done? Sounds like everything would be great if it was all Atomos (TCS) devices, but that is rarely going to be the case, best to support playing nice with others or this will not take off as fast as it could IMHO.
Maybe I’m doing something wrong, but I can’t get my the ultrasync one to work. I was under the impression it would be able to send TC to the Atomos ShogunUltra. I bought the ultrasync one because the Tentacle Sync workflow was a bit cumbersome with the Zoom F6 and TC over HDMI, but at least that worked. I love the ShogunUltra (ProRes Raw is amazing) however I can’t find any recent documentation’s or tutorials about how this works with the current ecosystem. Even the stay up-to-date card Atomos includes goes to a ERROR 404. Am I missing some other crucial component?

I have a zoon h5 and to do sync I run a line out into my canon g30 and HDMI out to the at0mos recorder and recorded video and audio thru HDMI. It never drifts. I only use timecode to sync in camcorder sd card recording with external hard drive Atomos recording and do camcorder rec command trigger from the camcorder remote which in turn puts the external recorder into record start-stop without touching the Atomos. If I ran a second camera I would be screwed. Then I would have to go this route. This system sounds great but anyone owning a zoom h5 cannot do Bluetooth timecode or any timecode. You could recorder audio timecode to the left track and the right could be mic audio but you still left with the drift problem as the audio clock after 20 min will drift slightly over the in-camera audio bringing you back to time stretching the master audio ever so slightly to line up. I have great preamps in the canon g30 which is a broadcast sister of the xa line of canon products so my audio is excellent.
TC offset calibration doesn’t work for me on Firmware 10.57 tried on Sony and Canon cameras with multiple HDMI cables and Audio Cables. I always get no audio detected even though there’s a little beep.
Figured it out. If audio out timing is set on a Sony as “lip sync”, the delay will be set at 3 frames. If the Sony Audio about Timing is set to live, it’s in perfect sync hence the error. Canon 5d mkii is also perfect sync!
Hi @ChrisFlores, Thanks for your comment! To achieve timecode synchronization between your Zoom F3 recorder and other devices, such as an Atomos Sync Module or Atomos Connect with Airglu feature, you can utilize additional tools like the Ultrasync Blue. By pairing the Ultrasync Blue with your Zoom F3 via Bluetooth, you can ensure accurate timecode synchronization. Additionally, you can connect the Atomos Sync Module or Atomos Connect (with Airglu feature) to the Ultrasync Blue using RF (Radio Frequency) signal. This setup allows for seamless integration and synchronization between your Zoom F3 recorder and the Atomos devices. If you have any further questions or need more detailed guidance on setting up your specific configuration, please don't hesitate to ask. We're here to assist you. ATOMOS

Hey #ATOMOS or #PhotoJosephPhotoMoment , I want consistent TC across my devices. I run 2 x GH5, one has a Ninja V on top and the other has a Ninja Inferno on top. I have just bought an ATOMX SYNC module for the Ninja V, which should feed TC via bluetooth to my ZOOM F6 with BTA1 adapter (?) but my question is - how do i get the same TC into my ATOMOS Ninja Inferno? Do I need to trade it up for another NINJA V with SYNC Module? Please advise :)
When you get to the point where the Atom X Sync has connected to the UltraSync One, it seems to be that the ninja is the master in this scenario. But can the UltraSync One be the master and the Ninja be a slave to it? I guess I dont really understand how that relationship works between the two, you would think having the ultrasonic with its better accuracy would make more sense as the Master
I have a 3 camera setup, with 3 Ninja V recorders. Do I need 3 individual AtomX Sync modules for each recorder? Or only one sync module to the "Master" Ninja V?
Hello Powerflex500, Thanks for your comment! Please take note that each Ninja V will require its own sync module in order to receive the master signal and function as a client! if this helps, please let us know. ATOMOS

I am trying to connected my Zoom F8 via Bluetooth with the AtomX sync now for 60 minutes un-successfull. Sounds all great but does not work in my case! Im am using an SDI connection. This topic is not mentioned. how to stack the AtomX modules? I am considering sending my AtomX back!

I want to know, also. I waited for this, but it took too long, so I got two Tentacle Syncs and a Mix-Pre 10 II (that has timecode). I wonder if the Mix-Pre 10 II can be the master and the AtomX Sync as the slave. How are you picturing using the Tentacle Sync with this?
Forgive my naivety, but what type of cable was used to correct the “audio latency”. (Cable from Atomos to Camera Mic) ? And to clarify, this procedure only needs to be done on the “Master AtomX Sync? And does it need to be done each time for each new recording?
Just a simple male to male 3.5mm audio cable - it’s included with the AtomX SYNC. Once delay is calculated for a camera + cable combo, you don’t need to re-test. You could just note what the latency is for each camera if you’re using the recorder on multiple cameras. Or, just re-test each time, as it’s so quick.
My atomos xsync won’t pair with the ultra sync blue. I have the blue synced to my Nikon Z9 and Zoom F6 but it’s not picking up the ninja connected to Z6ii. I know I have an older firmware in the ninja because there was internal audio issues with the newer firmware on the ninja so I rolled it back to older firmware. Would this be the case why the blue is not pairing with the xsync? UPDATE NOTE: I have the Z9, the Z6ii w/ the ninja V and the F6 all paired up to the xsync pairing on the ninja V my question now is , how do I pair all of it up to the ultra sync blue??

Does the sync module charge up just from the battery that's currently in use? For example. If you don't hot-swap and drain the Sync module's battery, how does one charge that back up?
It’s just piggybacked and the Sony batter plugs in. The internal Atom X battery only lasts about 5 mins to allow you to change batteries without losing sync.

2 questions: 1 - can this control my atomos ninja v wireless meaning can I use my smartphone to press record and make changes and 2 - I have an atomos ninja inferno how can I control that with this device?
I had a question about this too. I can confirm it works, you’ll need the ultrasync and the cable. On the mixpre ii you can jam it since they have internal clocks. I’ll make a video on my channel.
1 - Why is this not a firmware update? Could it be in the future making this redundant? 2 - I have Zoom H6 - will it work with this? Or do I need to purchase the Zoom F6? 3 - Are you saying effectively this makes audio sync software, like Pluraleyes, redundant? Or am I missing something? Thanks, Ivan
www.timecodesystems.com/product/tcb-50-ultrasyncone-xlrm-cable/ for H6 and you'll need www.timecodesystems.com/product/ultrasync-one/ for LTC Convert then follow www.videotoolshed.com/product/ltc-convert-auxtc/, Atomos and Timecode Systems have created a whole "Eco-System" to enable the same "timecode protocol" to be used across any device. I am an advocate for last 2 years and have heavily invested in both Brands, as I can see the benefits it brings to my videos/productions/editing. Less time editing means more time making creative videos. Time is money and "Time" is one thing you can never get back. So if spending money saves me time, then the cost is worth it. Just my thoughts ;-)
Every watch from a Swatch to a Rolex drifts. The clocks in cameras drift as well. 1. You need a TCOC, temperature compensating oscillating crystal to keep exact time. A firmware update isn't going to insert a TCOC into your Ninja. If you think you don't need a TCOC, you're wrong. The temperature of the pack against an actor's back is different than an audio recorder with a fan on it. 2. You need a dongle like MJ linked for you H6. 3. Correct, you don't need PluralEyes if you have properly set up timecode on all of your devices.
Or you can just use BMPCC 4K / 6K with tentacle sync, much easier. And for live production , ATEM Mini + BMPCC 4K, it locks the timecodes instantly to current time of day through HDMI . Way better.
Zoom F8n users--read this to connect your Zoom F8n to the AtomX Sync. It isn't in the Bluetooth menu like the F6. www.zoom.co.jp/sites/default/files/products/downloads/pdfs/E_F8n_Connecting_with_BLUE.pdf Make sure you upgrade the firmware on the F8n for Bluetooth.
My frustrations with my 4x Ninja V + Ultra Sync One (using it for different gigs with either External LTC and Internal): 1) When all Ninjas are in Client mode running off UltraSync, there isn't the option to start recording with a Server/Master Ninja, because they are all Clients/Slaves. 2) Now that the SDI module exists, I would like to the Sync and SDI modules able to be used simultaneously 3) With the SDI Module, the available audio channels should be extended to 16, which is what SDI 12G can carry. 4) UltraSync doesn't have Word Clock In. I wish it did, and it should. When these issues are revolved, the Ninja V system will be unparalleled.

Hi Robert, yes these can all work on the same network with the Ninja V using the SYNC module or UltraSync One as the master. Hope this helps!
@@AtomosChannel I was told, by Atomos support, that the UItraSync One is REQUIRED for th F8n, even if you have the AtomX Sync Module.. Is this a lie?
@@FilipEkberg It can connect to F8n directly, F8n becomes a slave to receive the timecode
Hi, nice video ! What about the Atomx NDI module ? It’s seems to disappear from your website. Thanks.

Is the a way to sync an Atomo Ninja V with a Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 as a controler on the remote control?
What is needed to connect to a pc and bring the timecode to Vicon's Shogun Live Motion capture software?
one the zoom recorders like the f3, will timecode trigger recording on the f3 as well or you must still hit record?
Hi @ChrisFlores,
Thanks for your comment!

Very very cool......
I have tested atomx sync connecting to Zoom F8n, it could not trigger F8n to record automatically. Can this feature be added?
Have a Canon XA-30 Video camera on a DJI Ronin M & LilyPut Monitor Then a Canon T5i & a Zoom H4n audio Recorder. Is it possible to sync all these With the XA-30 as the master? I watched your video 3 times but still need your expertise Thanks not necessary to record with the lilyPut monitor.
Would you have a product number for the zoom F6 Bluetooth module? I can’t seem to find it anywhere, if you would have a product number or a product name so I could find it that would be great thanks so much awesome video
The video was great but all the jump cuts when you were starting the recording turned this into a comedy. lmao I thought that part was hilarious.
I'm having issues connecting my F8n to the Server (Master) and the record control seems to be intermittent on the client recorder - same cameras going in, timecodes are aligned though.
Does Atomos have a Helpdesk anymore ?

Hey #ATOMOS or #PhotoJosephPhotoMoment , I want consistent TC across my devices. I run 2 x GH5, one has a Ninja V on top and the other has a Ninja Inferno on top. I have just bought an ATOMX SYNC module for the Ninja V, which should feed TC via bluetooth to my ZOOM F6 with BTA1 adapter (?) but my question is - how do i get the same TC into my ATOMOS Ninja Inferno? Do I need to trade it up for another NINJA V with SYNC Module? Please advise :)
That was so good! Thank you
When you get to the point where the Atom X Sync has connected to the UltraSync One, it seems to be that the ninja is the master in this scenario.
Hello Powerflex500,
Thanks for your comment!
Please take note that each Ninja V will require its own sync module in order to receive the master signal and function as a client!
if this helps, please let us know.

@@AtomosChannel I was able to locate a reseller that sold the atom X sync modules. I purchased 3 of them and I did test it out. They work perfectly and the Atom Remote app controls all the cameras. I also bought a syncBac Pro time code module for the GoPro and that works as well. I'm good to go able to control everything wirelessly while I perform on stage.
@@powerflex500 where did you buy the atomx sync?????
I have connected a Sony UMC-S3CA camera to my Atomos Shogun Flame and unfortunately Atomos cannot see it. Other cameras display as well as the Sony camera works properly on other HDMI monitors. What is the problem of incompatibility of the HDMI signal from the Sony camcorder with the Shogun recorder? I tried to force the camera and recorder to sync with UltraSyncOne, but to no avail.
Hi Andy,
Unfortunately, the Atomos Shogun Flame is not compatible with the Sony UMC-S3CA Camera. You can read more about compatible products here - www.atomos.com/compatible-cameras/?product=shogun-flame
Thanks, Toby - Atomos.
Where can I find the Atomos UltraSync "Blue" & "ONE" in Germany?
They are Timecode Systems products. Atomos bought Timecode Systems in 2019.
I have one question that I am still unsure about even having watched this a few times...do you need an Atomos AtomX Sync on each NinjaV? Or will just one do? From there do the other NinjaVs, UltraSync Ones etc all just connect to the Master via Bluetooth? Cheers
Yes you will need a AtomX back for each Ninja V
I am trying to connected my Zoom F8 via Bluetooth with the AtomX sync now for 60 minutes un-successfull. Sounds all great but does not work in my case! Im am using an SDI connection. This topic is not mentioned. how to stack the AtomX modules? I am considering sending my AtomX back!

what about working with other timecode jammers like tentacle sync etc?
I want to know, also. I waited for this, but it took too long, so I got two Tentacle Syncs and a Mix-Pre 10 II (that has timecode).
I wonder if the Mix-Pre 10 II can be the master and the AtomX Sync as the slave.
How are you picturing using the Tentacle Sync with this?
You cam jam sync a tentacle sync with incoming timecode. Put the tentacle sync in flashing red mode feed it LTC, and it will jam to that I coming TC.
Nice video... but not everyone one is an Apple fanboy. What about us PC, Android, GH5, Resolve users?
Timecode is OS agnostic. Most NLEs available for Windows, including Premiere and Resolve, support timecode sync. GH5 would be LTC over audio input.
such a live saver !! loved the product :D

The internal Atom X battery only lasts about 5 mins to allow you to change batteries without losing sync.
can you use the sync module with atomos cast and ninja5
Hi Daniel,

2 questions: 1 - can this control my atomos ninja v wireless meaning can I use my smartphone to press record and make changes and 2 - I have an atomos ninja inferno how can I control that with this device?
no, is not an app for the phone :(
Hi-Will it work with Sound Device MixPre 10T recorders?
Sound Devices MiPre 10T has a BNC timecode input. So you simply connect the USO using the cables provided.
How to sync with Ninja V and Sound device mixPre ii?
I want to know too, especially mixpre-6 II.
It isn't in the Bluetooth menu like the F6.
www.zoom.co.jp/sites/default/files/products/downloads/pdfs/E_F8n_Connecting_with_BLUE.pdf
Make sure you upgrade the firmware on the F8n for Bluetooth.
My frustrations with my 4x Ninja V + Ultra Sync One (using it for different gigs with either External LTC and Internal):
1) When all Ninjas are in Client mode running off UltraSync, there isn't the option to start recording with a Server/Master Ninja, because they are all Clients/Slaves.
2) Now that the SDI module exists, I would like to the Sync and SDI modules able to be used simultaneously
3) With the SDI Module, the available audio channels should be extended to 16, which is what SDI 12G can carry.
4) UltraSync doesn't have Word Clock In. I wish it did, and it should.
When these issues are revolved, the Ninja V system will be unparalleled.
Looks like this video itself isn't sync perfectly

Hi, They don't seem to make the SyncBac Pro for the Hero 8 & 9. Do they still make it or is there another solution for the GoPro Hero 8 and Hero 9? I have three Ninja V's, 3 Hero 8's and two Hero 9's I want to sync up.
How do you sync other audio recording devices besides the F6?
I have an OG Tentacle Sync and I’m looking to add another timecode box to my kit. Since Tentacles are incredibly hard to find right now, would the ATOMOS ATOMX ULTRASYNC ONE be a suitable addition? I’m looking to do basic timecode jam into my Mixpre 6 (OG) and sync with another timecode box which would jam into a single camera.
Excellent!
