It is so true, the background music is based on one of ABBA's hit " The Name Of The Game ".
and Madonna - Hung Up

Great song, great film.
If you act like Pras isn't on it, it would be perfect.

Busta could be an unofficial member of every east coast rap group. He just blended in with any group and stood out at the same time.
FACTS

Facts. I always felt like him replacing ODB in Wu Tang would be epic
@@tinaamariee832 true but if odb didn't die I don't want to take out a original member but there styles are very similar
Busta came out with the flow he should make hip hop hall of Fame.
2023 and I’m just remembering how truly amazing this collaboration of powerful emcees this one song contained!
This was a fiya collaboration song.
This is REAL hip hop!
ABBA allowed The Fugees to sample their song "The Name of the Game" for "Rumble in the Jungle" due to Björn Ulvaeus's appreciation of the artistic quality and cultural impact of the Fugees' music. Ulvaeus acknowledged that hip-hop was a significant genre and felt that the Fugees' respectful approach to using the sample aligned with ABBA's standards. This decision marked the first time (out of two) ABBA permitted their music to be sampled, highlighting the mutual respect between the artists.
One of the Greatest hip hop collaboration of all fucking time. All those Legends in 4 min. Musical orgasm.
Rip Phife. You had the voice, the flow and the best metaphors.

ABBA were right to allow these guys to sample their music, this is the first out of two times they have ever let anybody do so (Madonna being the second). Great track for a great documentary about a great guy - this is IT.
xoffender74 and the use of the sample was absolutely brilliant!
yes, and madonna did it justice too she sampled gimme gimme gimme a man after midnight for Hung Up and it was awesome and huge hit!
MsLuvmusic81 they both did the sampled songs justice!

So much history in the verses, they're telling a story
For real. I had to look up so much stuff listening to this song and many others from their repertoire

If only Tribe Called Quest and the Fugees would’ve made a collab album

Praswell's flow during this era was just something else. Every verse he had on the Score was short but CRUCIAL!!!!!
Lauryn kills this. What a verse, but, that voice!
Is there a longer version of Lauryn Hill doing send me an angel as I cant stop listening to her voice but it's too short?!

I Miss This Type of Hip-Hop When It Was Normal To Be Intelligent in Music. I Guess That's Why My Mind is Trapped in the Past, or Trapped in Real Life Thoughts.
Been listening to rap since the early 90’s, but never heard this song before. Love the fact that there are still gems like this to discover 🙌🏽
Hip-hop (or boxing) will never be this good again.
+MrBopeel Your statement is a true as it is painful. Hopefully a future generation will find the great footage [I know, against the most ill-logical odds] and be inspired to resurrect it, only better!
+MrBopeel no there are some good rappers out there similar style they do it well

boxing is actually way better nowdays
DirtyThug1 not the Heavyweight Division. The other Weight Classes are great tho
Amazed how they sample that ABBA track on point!!
oh yes, that's "the name of the game". All hail ABBA. The usa record companies and advertisers refused to promote them but to HELL with the usa! Talent will always shine and endure.
It's tough af getting approval from ABBA to sample their stuff. From memory it's only been The Fugees and Madonna that have ever got permission from them.

I was a teenager then and i loved this song and the video too. I still love it. Whoever did the video did a great job,so many shots so fast and great editing. My fav line of the song is "see Ali appear in Zair to reconnect 400 years". That tells alot about black people, it makes you think... Fugees always had great lyrics.
i like the line "mathematics was the key to set my whole race free". not quite sure what it means but i guess connected to medicine and building structures like the pyramids.

This song is on Spotify, but the cover done of this. It sucks that you can't hear the likes of Busta who help make this joint to me with his verse and the other original artists.
Sample is from ABBA - The Name of the Game (1977).
I Love My HipHop SampleHeads. ✌🏽
yes! they were the first to ever sample an ABBA song , I think they're picky about who they let sample their stuff. This is so good.
Which is no where near as special as this track. That is how you upsample.
@@jeffrejr1 if not for the Abba sample this isn't dope
Can't believe they rocked that ABBA sample!
Damn I really miss hip hop like this it hurts
Lauryn Hill is the classic sister who was on top of the world when this video came out, then out of no where chose to have a family and follow her own path not the one laid down by the industry. For this she is shunned now and because of her faith as well as her honesty has had her at odds with those that make the rules and have all the gold to back it up!!!
Definitely one of the best hip-hop collabs ever
Yes
👏👏👏
GADAMNIT!!! I forgot how nice Lauryn Hill was back then. She's lyrically top 5 of all time easily.
They killed this beat and busta rhymes give me chills every time
Aside from Ms. Hill's distinctive voice/sound...her smile... oh, that smile...can totally cheer up a day. Thankhs. :-)
That ABBA sample. Love this song hard!!
Love this song!! If I had a time machine, I'd go back to 1996..
Yessss....
Me too, that was the time of real hiphop and my time yo.
I know nothing about rap, but this is simply incredible. The grit, the tension, the wonder - felt deeply as 1000% real.
Lauryn Voice and that transition to the chorus love it!

The single greatest hip hop track of all time. Period.

nah the dispute is over this is the verse that made busta rhymes a great.
Yo Lauryn Hill has spit some of my favorite verses ever. Everytime she raps it feels like an adult has entered the room and you're not listening to these braggadoccious little kids anymore. Her verse here is a show stopper.

HELL YEAHHHHH
+victorinox190 Well done- Let's not bring colour into this, you're an idiot; We're all human beings end of the day, so enough of the black/white bullshit.
+Andy C, I completely understand that you have the best intentions with this comment, and respect that. But, there's nothing wrong with Afrocentrism, or any pride in ethnicity. Many believe that it leads to division among us humans, but it celebrates our heritage, hardships, and efforts to preserve culture (especially a country where the conquering race has the most evident influence). Otherwise, we would most likely be assimilated into one giant hybrid culture with no individual ethno-aesthetic to appreciate. Color doesn't divide us, mentality and intention does.
+Andy C this song is a black pride song...
Never get tired of this track. Dope. Amen.
Busta old flow>>>
Kanye East Lauryn's bars had more depth.
This song has that “hit em high” type of vibe. Both tracks feature amazing artists
