@@jafardblegends360 The gorilla is as the narrator said, placid. But, they are stronger than your wrestling heroes lol. Their bodies are far more dense, hence the reason they cannot swim. They have longer, thicker, tendons that hold very dense powerful muscle. The tendons alone provide a raw strength that your wrestlers would regret becoming intimate with, if they live to regret. Foolish humans can't help go there.
I once knew a zoo keeper that looked after gorilla`s. He was big guy and a weight lifter. I asked him how strong he was compared to a gorilla and he replied "At best about 10%"
A full grown adult male Chimpanzee is much stronger than a human. They also would gouge your eyes out, bite off your fingers and try to castrate you. They don't fight fair.
A few interesting facts: a very large gorilla has 24” upper arms, 22” forearms, 14.5” wrists, weigh 550lbs, stand 6’ tall. It was hard to find this data but it was worth it.
Nope. No registered Gorilla in good standing has reached 550 pounds or 250 kilos. Only obese and fat specimens in captivity. The largest healthy gorillas rarely reach 210 kilos. The largest hardly usually exceed the barrier of 200 kilos and this on very rare occasions. Otherwise your data is fine... I guess.

@@yashvintackoory2893 A gorilla's strength is 10x their body weight, so a 200 kg gorilla could lift 2 tons. Could you imagine a human with that kind of relative strength? Someone with 100 kg weight could lift roughly 1000 kg, enough to fully lift an entire car, albeit barely, which weights roughly 1300 kg, and the man who performed the heaviest deadlift, julius bjornsson, could lift 2.05 tons at the time of his deadlift, over 4x his actual deadlift. Now imagine mike tyson with that kind of strength.
I remember many yrs ago, a friend was telling me why gorillas had such strength compared even to a human if similiarly muscled..he said even if we had the same muscle density, which we dont, we would Not have the gorilla's strength because of how the ligaments attach to the joints..something about how the gorilla has them positioned in a way that allows Much more leverage per given amount of muscle mass...
While all the things about the diet and his muscles are true, the very foundation of the gorillas strength is his bone size and structure. I stood once in a museum and there was a human skeleton nearby a gorilla skeleton. One of the major misconception is we think about size either in terms of body height or in terms of mass (in flesh), but the truth is, the bones of the gorilla are massively big! At least 2-3 times the circumfrance of the human bones, which allows him to have much bigger sinews and therefore build up bigger muscles too. And his muscles of course are not only big, but due to its wild lifestyle the meat is red and allows for more oxygen to be carried. I think a silverback is far stronger than 4 times average human male. Its proven that even a chimp is far stronger than a man
I think that's why Wilt Chaimberlan was so strong. It wasn't the outward fleshly muscles, although of course they matter. But the overall skeleton and bone density that made him so strong. Same with other species, it's not so much the muscles, although the fibers can work differently, but the skeletal structure and density.
@@souldesire5932 Yes, although this is pretty obvious, everybody overlooks this. The muscle quality though as you said is very important too for sure. Those wild animals have totally different muscles than any domesticated species inlcuding the human. Its easy to see when you compare a piece of wild boar meat to a piece of house pig: Dark red meat with lot of fascia vs pink meat with a high degree of fat.
I watched human surgeons operate on a gorilla with an abdominal abscess (large mammal vets have very little experience operating on gorilla's abdomen's). The patient was a 10 year old female, who was only about 170 pounds'; not that dissimilar to a human male. The amazing thing about the surgery, was that the surgeons kept incising deeper expecting to encounter the abdominal cavity, but there was just layer upon layer of muscle. The actual abdominal cavity was the size of a child's, but there was about 3-4x thicker muscle, encasing and protecting her. I can only imagine what a 400 pound silver' back's musculature is like.

A friend of mine visited the Brookfield Zoo in Illinois. in the gorilla cage they had a handle with attached weights just like you would see in a weightlifters gym, he witnessed the gorilla pull that handle with one arm and it registered him lifting 500 lbs
Well, it’s because their muscles work slightly differently from ours. Putting aside the pure density, the muscles of gorillas and chimpanzees activate in FAR greater percentages as compared to humans. This makes them very strong, but also reduces their coordination: human hands are better for fine, careful movement. And that makes sense; that’s kind of our whole shtick, instead of beating something to death we would just make a sharp-stone tipped spear and throw it at our target
This is absolutely true! Back about 1969, a traveling carnival came to town. It featured genuine gorilla wresting. Men tried to wrestle gorillas that weighed 105 or 112 pounds. They welded a steel handle to the spring and bolted it to the wall in the Gorilla's compound. A local strong man tried to pull that spring and couldn't budge it. They let the Gorilla out and in no time, he found a new plaything. He stood flatfooted and with his right arm pulled that spring across his mighty chest. ONE PULL and the spring was ruined. I believe the word is 'flaccid'. It just sort of hung there---ruined---the Gorilla got bored and went over to the other side of the compound and started twisting car tires into figure '8's'. Gorillas could absolutely tear your head off of your body!
I had a conversation a long time ago about Silverback with a a buddy of mine. @@yunggpacino Because most bodybuilders train specifically for size rather than strength, and you’re just nitpicking and trying to start an argument for no reason.

I think the Gorillas who got “bored” actually just hit a breaking point after living in captivity. I understand in some cases these animals are safer living in sanctuaries but wouldn’t it be so great if our world could provide them with the safe haven they already have. The only threat to all the animals in our world is humans and animals are pure of heart and they deserve to live in safety and peace just as much as humans expect.
You clearly have not experienced the wild. It's violent, not rainbows and cupcakes. Everything is either food or killing for food. That peace you mention is only possible through strength, and even then is not guaranteed.

In school I learned the muscle-tendon-bone attachments in gorilla limbs is a bit different than in humans, increasing their leverage and making them stronger but not as quick.

Right 97-98 Kane was a beast of a man where as a a gorilla is just a beast.
I would say that title goes to Mark Henry, since he has actually showcased his strength outside of wrestling and is a legitimate strong man 😆
I once knew a zoo keeper that looked after gorilla`s. He was big guy and a weight lifter. I asked him how strong he was compared to a gorilla and he replied "At best about 10%"
What a genuine guy.

A full grown adult male Chimpanzee is much stronger than a human. They also would gouge your eyes out, bite off your fingers and try to castrate you. They don't fight fair.
That’s scary to think about….. 😂
Brian Shaw is about half the strength of a gorilla that weighs the same amount.
I guess.

I remember many yrs ago, a friend was telling me why gorillas had such strength compared even to a human if similiarly muscled..he said even if we had the same muscle density, which we dont, we would Not have the gorilla's strength because of how the ligaments attach to the joints..something about how the gorilla has them positioned in a way that allows Much more leverage per given amount of muscle mass...
its for climbing all day
Its also tied to the amount of grey matter controlling the muscles
We would be stronger at some things though, the are built for pulling. We could beat them in pressing, if are muscles we're that dense
@@elijahhilb6518 humans CANT beat a gorilla in any form of strength, Period.
@@bigchungus1848 that's why I said if our muscles were as dense as a gorillas
Same with other species, it's not so much the muscles, although the fibers can work differently, but the skeletal structure and density.
can’t a chimp like rip our limbs off if they really want to
@@tannerbradley9107 indeed they can
@@souldesire5932 Yes, although this is pretty obvious, everybody overlooks this. The muscle quality though as you said is very important too for sure.

Because they eat plants and not popeyes they maintain their strength

They welded a steel handle to the spring and bolted it to the wall in the Gorilla's compound. A local strong man tried to pull that spring and couldn't budge it. They let the Gorilla out and in no time, he found a new plaything. He stood flatfooted and with his right arm pulled that spring across his mighty chest. ONE PULL and the spring was ruined. Great timing, I'm at the gym and sadly can't compare to these big guys. But regardless, great inspiration
Sick profile pic. You are a real one.
Look, im tracing you right now pal
I've seen you, you are bigger and stronger than gorillas
Are you sure ?
There was a huge gorilla at the Frankfurt zoo that would allow visitors to come up close to its glass enclosure, then he would backhand swat the glass so hard the walls shook, scaring the visitors. Then he woild turn around and laugh at the scared people.
brian shaw is like 6'9 400 though and was actually the worlds strongest man several times lol
6'8

I Love Brian Shaw amazing Athlete but He is no Gorilla
We have 2 protect Him frm the Gorillas
@@BlaccSuave no doubt but hes a better example then kane.....shaw would last longer agiant a gorilla than me id last about 2 sec shaw 4 sec and if a grizzly came he'd eat the gorilla lol
@@MikeHunt-fo3ow Yes, a grizzly would indeed defeat a gorilla but not without a fight. If gorilla manages to bite the grizzly, then it would be able to tear a piece of flesh through the thick fur. But after that the grizzly will swipe with the deadly claws and seriously injure the gorilla. Gorilla would not die without atleast hurting the grizzly.

''What if a Strongman got into a fight with a gorilla'' literally shows a Boxer and not a Strongman. Good job. Plus, there's a ton of ACTUAL Strongmen that's stronger than Kane xD doesn't matter who you put up against a fully grown angry Gorilla... They'd be crushed to dust.
I think they meant "a strong man", not a strongman😅
Very quickly.
Brian Shaw is 6'8" 400lbs but yeah he'd still get smacked around by a gorilla

I love the background music lol I’m high and it sound calm and they’re going to war at the same time
I was watching silverback gorillas for hours at the Denver zoo once. They kept running and I was stunned at their speed!
newtons second law of motion , force = weight x acceleration
silverbacks can weight up to 400 pounds and run 25 miles per hour, so their max potential force : 400 x 25 = youre dead af
Its over 9000
Miles per hour isn't a unit of acceleration lol
That was a majestic self-own ;-)
I’m more shocked at the fact some people asked if human beings will stand a chance toe to toe against these primates. Insane
"Among the strongest humans is the wrestler Kane..." HAHAHAHAHA
I love his voice, makes it even more interesting and factual.
*what if a strong man got into a fight with a gorilla?*
shaolin monk: allow me to introduce myself
Yeah, Shaolin become shaolin puree.
@@verresmilliterres chimpanzee is only 2 times stronger than humans but are fast aggressive and have pointed canines and their way of attacking can be unpredictable with a single kick capable to disfigure a human face. But as shaolin monks are very agile and trained for many years in hardcore training, they can dodge chimpanzees and can lift it up and throw it away. Only maybe like half to 1% of earth's humans would be capable of defeating an alpha male chimpanzee barehanded.
@@verresmilliterres No human on earth can handle a punch of gorilla or trampling of elephant. Be it the toughest of shaolin monk or ufc champion.
@@herohamza1196 Well he did say chimpanzee. But yes a silverback could easily kill any human. But they are not known to be aggressive against people. I would certainly be terrified if close to one but if I just knelt down and avoided eye contact chance are he would leave me alone. A chimp is very unpredictable and can be very aggressive. I would be much more afraid of the chimp for that reason.
Shaolin MONKE
A plumber friend of mine installed a water fixture in a gorilla cage while it was in a cage next to him. After the installation the gorilla was put in cage to see how it would use the water fixture. The first thing it did was unscrew the fasteners with its fingers what took tools to tighten. Monkey see monkey "undo."
Incredible creatures.
bro whipped out kane 😂😂😂
I remember a short-lived show called Man versus Beast. I never saw a person face off against a silverback in a competition, but I did see an orangutan versus a Sumo wrestler in a rope tug of war. They faced off from across a mud pit, each on their own dock. The Sumo wrestler was about twice the size of the orangutan. I swear, the Sumo wrestler pulled with all his might for about a minute or so, not managing to budge the primate. Then the orangutan decides it's had enough, and it pulls the rope tight. The Sumo guy was dragged some ten feet out into the muck! He had zero chance. I can see an ape pulling a person's arms out of their sockets in addition to the mud bath! ua-cam.com/video/YFMpWm6ECgQ/v-deo.html
That "match" is obviously fake. Give me a break.
@@TheBenjammin Agreed. Also, why use a sumo wrestler instead of a strongman?
@@adriansandlin556 I saw 2 heavyweight ufc champions try to push a sumo wrestler backwards and they absolutely couldn't budge him. He laughed as he held them back with 1 hand each
@@CeeDoubleU UFC fighters' strength lies in striking and grappling. Sumo wrestlers' strength mainly lies in pushing. Strongmen specialize in lifting and pulling. A strongman should've been used for a tug of war rather than a Sumo wrestler.
@@CeeDoubleU if you fight for a living your main focus isn’t gonna be mainly strength.
Also have you seen what happened when those Sumo wrestlers went into the cage?
They got beat down even by the small guys.
As land animals go, humans are pretty frail for their body weight. It's not so much how incredibly strong wild animals are as how flimsy human anatomy has evolved to be in comparison. Cro-Magnon was physically stronger and had a larger brain case than modern man.
Sci true , recent study had shown our. Brains are smaller too , not just our muscles n bones
We can afford to be frailer relative to our size because we are so wildly intelligent. This is the trade that mankind has made. We humans are not brutal survivalists anymore, like Cro-Magnon and Neanderthal, but have instead adapted to become conquerors.
@@VladDracula04 Neanderthal's were just natural born beasts. They were a fighting species.
Humans are more intelligent and expansionist.
Fun fact:
If a 100 kg human had the relative strength of a gorilla, which is 10x their body weight, they could fully lift an entire car, which weights roughly 1300 kg.
In Our human wisdom we make a much wider range of Cocktails also.
4 times the strength! Goddamn! The human can win with his tools, but that's about it.
AND that number is Off. Try 10 times Stronger
Gorillas are so majestic! I hate seeing them in cages.
I have heard gorillas are so strong, they can rip human arms straight off when enraged
Kodiak bear: hold my salmon
Lol the gorilla will prolly tear the bear’s limbs off and hit it with it.It’s a 50/50 between a silverback and a kodiak. The gorilla has a more powerful bite and is stronger than the kodiak but it’s not a predator like the bear is.The bear is a literal tank that is not an animal to be killed by and can tear anything to pieces. So it’s a 50/50.But I don’t think the ape has much chance against a polar bear

I don't know where this guy got his info from but a gorilla is about 10 X Plus stronger than the Strongest Man known. A gorilla could grab a 300-pound defensive lineman and throw him across the room. Thank God gorillas are not after men and usually shy creatures.
