Some people would laugh at your finding comfort even in just a picture of Christ, but I've been in those shoes. You are absolutely faithful, and hopeful people, and I'm thankful for your examples, and pray for your continued success and happiness, even if it is defined more by the Lord's definition of success than the world's.
sometimes I like to think that when people laugh at such small things. They dont often look at the small things life, the mundane things. I like to reflect on my own experience in primary. I struggled with my faith growing up. I often think of the things that actually kept me active in the church. My favourite primary song was always "a childs prayer". I would get disappointed when we didn't sing it in primary and it wasn't often. I didn't love primary but that song made me happy. When I saw the part that he showed a picture of Christ, I felt the spirit. I never knew as a child how much "a childs prayer" would be the one song that could bring me at least temporary peace in my adult life. It couldn't fix my problems, but it helped me get through the night and make to getting up the next day and going back to the place that gave me bad days. Sometimes it really is the small things. I would have a bad day at work, most days were bad and not many good days. I would turn the song on inside my car. The Lord knows how He can touch our hearts the best. The Lord repeats to us many things and He does for a reason. We forget sometimes of our own experiences. I sometimes would think of pictures I see inside the temple and just ponder their meaning to me. I am not one to go to art shows or take much interest in art work but I do appreciate when it can be those pictures that make the difference. I truly believe that the man who helped this boy, it wasn't a coincidence. The Lord knew what this boy needed to see to give him mental stability in such a hard time. I couldn't even comprehend the pain he felt.
I know this isn't something you see much, but I wanted to share a few experiences I've had this year in the hopes that it helps someone in need. Love you all.
Is there any doubt that All Which Man Has The Potential To Remember can be classified into two types: those stigmata which exist within a period of time, and those other stigmata which mark the first day of their own calendar?
I really liked how the adult who helped him on the trail carried around pictures of Christ. I have mialytis right now and struggle to walk. This was so inspiring!
My son had transverse myelitis.. it was a long recovery but it will eventually get better. He couldn’t walk at all for a couple months. Lots of physical therapy helped. Don’t let go of hope!
I got injured my first year of high school cross country, and i was devastated. It wasn't a permanent injury, but it was right after my first race, and i ran fast enough to be on varsity. While my injury wasn't life threatening or as permanent as the injury in this video, it still made me remember crying in the doctor's office because I was going to be missing my first cross country season. I love this video and i felt the spirit strongly, stronger than any other video the church has put out. Thank you.
The positivity of Dallin is what is noteworthy to me. “The cup may be half full of water, but it’s all the way full. Half with water and half with air.” We all pray for miracles, but the miracle isn’t getting what we want, the miracle is being grateful for what we have…and then working to bless others. Thanks for blessing us with your example, Dallin!
This brought tears. I'm always a fan of someone who elects perseverance, defeating the odds... but because of Jesus and their faith! May God always bless and keep you.
This captures the wonderment of the miracle that is Christ’s birth. He is the reason we celebrate Christmas and every other day of life! He is the Savior of the world.
Thank you for sharing an amazing spiritual story. Every individual was inspired by the Spirit and heeded the prompting. This made me weep as I watched it. You are all my heroes!
I just can’t stop crying - for that mom - having a son who was a daredevil, I’ve always had that horrible feeling in my gut of fear of what could happen to him. I can just feel that mom’s pain, and love, and strength, and anguish - all for her son. Her beloved son. Thank you for sharing your story of faith. Sending you so much love and respect and admiration. 🥰🙏🏼 Thank you for sharing in your vulnerability. Thank you.
I love how his parents stood by him every step of the way....I can testify of the immense beauty and strength that results in tragedies like this, and how God can use them to bless us. We just need to be open to that love and sacrifice that Jesus offers each of us, no matter the circumstance we are in. Great job for finishing...
In 2001 my husband and I were in a fatal plane crash. We were life flighted to the AZ Burn Center where I resided for 6 long months. Three of those months were spent in a medically induced coma as my life hung in the balance. When I finally “awoke”, the first thing my eyes focused on, was that same picture of Christ hung on the wall opposite the foot of my bed. Under it were the words, “Sometimes we are called upon to do hard things, but we can do hard things.” Through faith I know, that no one in the existence of this earth has ever endured anything harder than our Savior Jesus Christ has through His atonement for us. I was delivered strength to do all that was required of me to eventually leave that hospital and get back to my husband and five children, because of that picture of Christ and those fifteen simple words. I testify through faith and experience, that with Christ, we can do hard things!
When we go through the storm.God is with us .we are alive to give a Testimony on our Church. We give him the praise and Glory.we are saved for a purpose that is our obedience and faithfulness to live our lives according to His will in complete surrender.
This is a truly inspiring story. Whenever I have pains and struggles, I always do my best to remember that Christ already suffered them for me as well. And as I long I put my faith and trust in him, He will help me overcome them. :) This video is a perfect reminder of that.
Appreciate this. Loved the reference to trials becoming worse or more negative when they affect you emotionally and mentally. That's resilience, and I needed that perspective restored today.
This is so inspiring for all of us, especially our young children. Learning about Heavenly Father and how He has and will never forsakes us, just like He didn't forsake His Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ, I am so grateful. Thank you for sharing.
Andrew and Dallin are spiritually mature young men. Andrew praying out loud as he runs for help and Dallin praying that he will live are powerful examples of turning to God in faith during a crisis. They were also attuned to many miracles like Ed turning left that day (who carries a print copy of Jesus Christ with them?!). I commend the exemplary parents for teaching and raising faith filled sons. God is infinitely merciful, kind and watchful.
Holy cow. I love this family but moved from our neighborhood we lived in with them many years ago. I had no idea this happened. What an incredible story.
We can have the faith that Christ can heal us - and then He will heal our broken limbs, sooner or later, and heal our broken hearts and minds, sooner or later. But they are always healed. Love this example of healing and strength through Christ.
This had me crying. So hard to live through, both for the parents and the son, but also for the friend. Wow! What good attitudes! So glad all is well, now. I would like to see and hear more as Dallin grows up and goes to college and on a mission. Such an example of faith and finding joy no matter the circumstances. 😊👏 Thank you for your example!
Beautiful ❤️ this really helped me to know I'm not alone! I've just been wishing someone to be right by my side with me. Because I feel alone. But knowing that God is with us through everything we go through. Beautiful inspiring video
Not only is Jesus aware of you and *with* you, but He’s felt what you’re feeling. I know there are times when I’ve been at my lowest and just in emotional anguish (or even physical) and I’m just venting to Heavenly Father and *hoping* what I’m saying makes sense as I try to explain my emotions and thoughts and questions and struggles-and sometimes, despite a language’s many words, it can still fail to communicate feelings of the heart properly-and I just remember: “Right. During Gethsemane, He felt everyone’s pain. Allllllll the pain and suffering that *every single person* would feel. So even if I don’t have the words, He knows what I mean. He’s been there. He’s felt it. And because He’s felt it, He’s in a better position to know how to help me feel better.” I find it helpful. That *no matter what*, there is *always* someone else out there who has felt what I’m feeling right now and can empathize. Even if those around me don’t understand, someone out there does. Has *truly* felt it, felt the *exact same thing*. And moreover, is in a position to help things, even if that’s just to not feel so alone
God Bless You and Your Family❤️. Being a runner myself, I can only imagine what you must feel. But one day, I know you will be the fastest and an inspiration to many. Glorifying God and Jesus Christ along the way🙌.
No Jesus, no Peace. Know Jesus, know peace. What an amazing inspirational story! God will not take away our trials, but he will give us strength and fortitude to go through them. This boy NEVER GVE UP! Thank you for posting this!
The moment an emergency happens is not the time to prepare for the emergency. You have to win a series of battles in order to win the war. This young man clearly worked on his spiritual foundation years before tragedy struck. We must prepare before the emergency
Three young gentlemen missionaries came by my residence today and blessed me with this gem right here, bless your heart stud, and keeping running for your dreams!!✌️❤️
So smart & thoughtful to carry around pictures of the Savior. There are many who hurt physically or spiritually. To be able to give someone that hope in a hard moment, is a gift. Dallin is just amazing what a great spirit he has in him. He’s a modern day Stripling Warrior.
I L💖VED this beautiful story! Thank you, Dallen, for sharing your personal example of how the Savior has helped lift you and continue through your challenges!!! What wonderful words of wisdom have touched my heart! Reminds me of this scripture verse, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13 How blessed 🥲 we are to have a Savior who has experienced all of our challenges and trials before we even did, 💕 and thank you for the reminder that we don’t have to go through our darkest moments, alone! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much for sharing such an inspiring, though hard, story. Every single person involved in this is just wonderful: the best friend, the parents, Ed and his picture of Christ. And of course, Dallin, never letting his inner flame go out. None of this would have been possible without the love, commitment and faith of all involved. THAT is the stuff miracles are made of in my eyes. We may feel that all we have to offer won't amount to much, but again, love, commitment and faith, I mean, that's what life is all about. That's what eternity is also made of I'm sure.
Here comes the tears. This young man has inspired me. What incredible faith he and his family have. Thank goodness Ed listened to the Spirit to take a left turn on the trail!
Oh man, I am such a wimp compared to this guy. I got attacked by a German Sheppard three weeks ago while working, and I am having a tough time. Its nothing compared to what this 15 year old has been through. I am trying to use Christ's grace to lift me so that I can do everything I did before. Its hard. But, thank you for giving me hope.
Love your beautiful testimony, thanku for sharing thanku to your parents family friends and strangers who Heavenly Father send at your aid to be your angels by your side most of all your faith in our Savior, love your miracle story continue to share to others of you Heavenly blessings love you little brother in the gospel 'love from New Zealand
Thank you Dallin for sharing your story. You showed so much courage and faith to deal with such a traumatic situation. All the best in what you do in life 🙏
The strength within our vessels helps to keep our faith move. We can see how the Lord's miracles manifest in many different ways of our lives. I was also being strengthened and inspired by this story. I learned that in overcoming obstacles in life, no matter who we are and what capacity that we have, we can do it and we can make it. As long as we put our trust in the Lord we can cross the finish line.
So dallen is in my ward and I just want to say that he doing so good and he is smiling every day and always looks so happy, also Andrew is my cousin and I remember him being really worried about dallen but it's really good to see Dallen smile every day ❤🩵
I’ve gone through physical injury and mom helped me find strength to push through. But never until the last couple of years have I relied so much on the goodness of Christ. When they said when it gets to mental and spiritual struggles, thats what hit me the hardest. My struggles have been exactly that and its so hard to make setbacks i know I could have avoided. Im so grateful for this video. I wanted to watch it when it first came out but i didnt. I just had a setback in my spirituality and this is helping me come to terms of what i need to do and to keep doing.
Thank you for sharing this experience. This inspires me to keep going to the finish line. Sometimes things are so hard but prayers and faith support and strengthen us.
I love the usage of the actual individuals from the story. The stories with actors are also powerful but I think it's definitely more impactful coming directly from them. Great video
This is really inspiring. i was in a similar situation in my senior year. I was on the cross country team, and i felt like a misfit for being the slowest runner. So, I pushed myself to the limit. And i tore my ACL clean off. I would need to wear a knee brace and would eventually need surgery. I blamed the team for my injury, because all i wanted was friends, and it hurt that they didn't really reach out. When I had my surgery, I'd never felt such pain, in my whole life. The painkillers made the pain worse. I felt like god had left me, and that i deserved to go through this. One night, i was in agony. My parents stood helplesly from my bed. I told my dad i needed a blessing, and after the blessing i felt so much peace and i felt free from the pain. I'm still recovering from that hellish injury, but my mom became my best friend because of it, and i trust my heavenly father more, and i am stronger because of it. Before i had my surgery, i thought my mom's love was conditional, and had its limits. But my mom never left my side during my recovery, and i hope to never go through that surgery ever again, but i wouldn't trade that trial for anything.
Dallin's dad was my seminary teacher over 10 years ago. He talked about his family often, and I've always been inspired by them. So cool to see this and know they are still faithful, trial after trial after trial. Thank you for sharing your story.
I'm 28 and have 3 bulged disks in my neck, a fairly serious degenerative nerve condition, and ciliac disease. I've had extreme bouts of depression at times, been fired from 2 jobs because of my disabilities, and experienced immense amounts of pain and sickness. On top of all of that, I've had to give up a lot of my personal dreams and goals that my health keeps me from. But today I've come to feel like one of the most blessed people in the world. During the worst of all of this, I had an opportunity to work for the church and learn how to give and serve. I have a wonderful and supportive family. I have a completely different perspective on life from most people. That perspective has led me to spend most of my recent life serving others and making their lives better, even when it means we don't have much left for ourselves. Most importantly, I have a very close relationship with my Heavenly Father and Savior. I'm grateful for my trials even though I still have hard days and know that I will have much harder days to come.
Some people would laugh at your finding comfort even in just a picture of Christ, but I've been in those shoes. You are absolutely faithful, and hopeful people, and I'm thankful for your examples, and pray for your continued success and happiness, even if it is defined more by the Lord's definition of success than the world's.

Thank you for sharing Samuel your story. Peace stories for inspiring and positive
Amen to that brother. XC and Track show how hard injuries are, but it's at the most difficult times that turing to Christ will teach us the most.
Thank you for sharing your testimony . Keep climbing your mountains . 💌🙏🙏
Always inspired from you guys even though i am an Orthodox Christian. I love your faith and devotion to Jesus Christ. Much love.

He is blessed that so many people care for him and supports him.
It was inspiring. It speaks to the hours of growth experienced by everyone during recovery. Father indeed blesses us in so many small and unseen ways.
Faith precedes miracles , an inspiring story, thank you for sharing!!!
my path walking for Jesus has led me here
This brought tears. I'm always a fan of someone who elects perseverance, defeating the odds... but because of Jesus and their faith! May God always bless and keep you.

What a miracle. Tears are in my eyes.... I hope I can live up to this example
I love that testimony. "Even in our darkest moment, we can always look towards God and trust that He is always there"

What a beautiful family. I don’t usually comment at all on these videos but I feel the spiritual strength of the family while watching this.
Thank you for your comment!
God be thanked for the Eds in the world!
So, what excuse do I have for not trying or giving up? What an inspiration. 💘

This video made me cry. Thank you for being faithful to the Lord in your trials. It's a great example to all.
Your an inspiration! Thank you for sharing your story.
Glad you liked it! Thank you for your comment!
True! We never know what our next trials will be, but when we walk with Jesus Christ, they're doable👍🏻🙏🏼🌻
Thank you for always leaving messages
Thank you for sharing this experience. This inspires me to keep going to the finish line. Sometimes things are so hard but prayers and faith support and strengthen us.
What an amazing guy!! So impressed.

God is good. Amen. 👍
Wow! Great job D! ❤️ I know He lives!
What a sweet family. ❤
I cried too😭
I love the usage of the actual individuals from the story. The stories with actors are also powerful but I think it's definitely more impactful coming directly from them. Great video
Amazing young man, very strong in body and faith.
Beautiful ❤️
But my mom never left my side during my recovery, and i hope to never go through that surgery ever again, but i wouldn't trade that trial for anything.
thank you for sharing, you are an inspiration ❤
Thanks for comment. Think of how much your Heavenly Mother and Father love you too!
Thanks for you story.
I needed this today. Thank you
Inspiring! Thanks for your positive attitude and for sharing your story!!!
Dallin's dad was my seminary teacher over 10 years ago. He talked about his family often, and I've always been inspired by them. So cool to see this and know they are still faithful, trial after trial after trial. Thank you for sharing your story.

“We can always turn towards God.” ❤️❤️❤️
I was excited to show this to my family today. Dallin is a great example of being positive and choosing faith.
Seriously inspiring video. A whole lot of courage on display there.
