  • A recent story in Canada says no human remains have been found at 14 alleged burial sites of indigenous children. Starting back in 2021, stories emerged of the existence of supposed mass graves of students at residential schools, some of which were run by the Catholic Church. The head of the Diocese of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Archbishop Richard Gagnon, joins to share his reaction when he heard no human remains had been found. Archbishop Gagnon discusses how this story and especially these new developments are being covered in Canada and whether it is drawing much attention. He explains how Church leaders and the faithful should respond to the news that no remains have been found yet. The archbishop gives us a snapshot of how the Church is doing in Canada, especially after the initial report in 2021.
