welp, this doesn't exactly count as live in my book, but makes me wish i would have tuned into the stream that day. Took me like 2 days to actually figure out wtf was going on with the way this was reported when it was breaking in the US
These tankies just don't like dead children like we do. Smh
Israel will not accept any kind of long term ceasefire deal that doesn't include releasing all of the hostages still being held by Hamas.
that part at least is non-negotiable.
You could argue that they should still continue this conflict and try to "fully eliminate" Hamas and their infrastructure (if that is even an achievable or long lasting solution), but the hostage issue is something Israel is not going to back down from.
The fact that Hamas are engaging in PR tactics like making statements that they "agreed to a ceasefire deal", even though it includes only exchanging about 30 of the still held 132 hostages (that are still not confirmed dead) for a period of over two months (which basically means stopping the war) tells you all you need to know about how much they care about the well being of the Palestinians currently suffering in Gaza over trying to delegitimize Israel.
Has Israel offered _any_ kind of long term ceasefire deal, even just one that not only includes releasing all of the hostages but _also_ removing Hamas from all power?
All I heard was that they demanded all of the hostages in exchange for a _short term_ ceasefire deal, with a pledge to afterwards continue the invasion with the goal of exterminating Hamas
It's kinda unreal that Hamas uses hostages for negotiations, like, they feel it's a legit thing to do.
We all know why theyve done it or Israel would obliterate them into the oblivion.
Why are you lying? Only deal Israel offered was to release all the hostages and in retung they delay the invasion. Who will take that?
interesting analysis considering how many of the family members of the hostages still held by hamas dont want israel to keep bombing the gaza strip and are actively advocating for a immidiate ceasefire and negotiations. it seems the israeli government keeps getting in the way of actually helping these people because of their unwillingness to engage diplomatically and prioritization of maximazing destruction of gazas infrastructure over the lives of their citizens. and again this is coming from the victims own families. youre also implying these things are "non-negotionable" for "israel" when the public opinion on that is actually rather varied with many people openly protesting the conduct of the military campaign. its the government leadership which is not interested in negotiation, many of the citizen actually very much are.
Have you considered that Hamas may be declining to return all the hostages may have something to do with the fact that the ceasefire Israel is offering is only temporary?
The purpose of returning only 30 is so that negotiations can continue without bloodshed.
This being said, taking civilian hostages is a war crime, I'm not defending this.
Two things are probably true, in that the Hamas Ceasefire proposal was a ridiculous proposal that Israel was never going to accept, and that Israel going into Rafah is a bad idea and terrible, they should still be at the negotiating table to try and get a ceasefire
Hamas wanted israel to withdraw from gaza, the blockade to end, gaza be rebuilt. Only then would they release the hostages. So youre pretty much right
@@asdrubalolgo8451 You just going to ignore the part that was actually contentious? The absurd 30-1 prisoner exchange, or even crazier 50-1 for female soldiers (by the way for part of that 50 they wanted 20 of those to be Palestianians that were serving life sentences). They weren't going to just release the hostages in exchange for those things, they wanted that insane ratio of exchange BEFORE they start ending the blockade and the withdrawal of the IDF.
@@nyanzombies2174 i wasnt aware of that, what i read was literally the quick answer from google and all it said was what is written in my comment. Apologies
@@asdrubalolgo8451 I also apologize for jumping the gun, it's pretty common to see people leave out information maliciously to make the IDF look worse than they are, but I assumed intentions and probably came off pretty aggressive.
@@nyanzombies2174 I feel like the worse part was that there was no commitment to return *live* hostages. Crazy ratios have already been established in past deals.

Tankies be crazy
Dylan did a short segment watching Hasan yesterday at the end of his stream and the little tankie cult minions jumped in immediately and started screeching about how nobody should be covering the war in Ukraine bc Palestinians have it soooo much worse. They all repeated the same lines about how living under Russian occupation is actually based bc they give you citizenship. And how Ukraine is not innocent bc the Azov battalion exists or something. They flooded the chat within seconds of Hasan appearing on screen. It was actually amazing. Like some kind of Hamasabi tornado siren went off and they immediately jumped into their Hamas tunnels and tried to defend him while criticizing Dylan for "fighting the wrong war". It was truly something to behold. Hard to believe it was actual humans and not a bot army.
They want vibes, not truth :(

how do you go from calling israel an apartheid state a year ago to mocking people who think israel is bad???
because you can mock people for perpetuating black and white views. Just because Israel has done bad things before doesn’t make them wrong overall in this war.
two things can be true at same time ... Israel is an apartheid state but also, Hamas is bunch of terrorist who have no intention to hold piece and who also don't care about civilians deaths and is using humans as shields. ... So yes, situation IS COMPLEX.
I think Lonerbox’s ‘I’m-not-taking-sides’-position is just fundamentally flawed. This is an asymmetric and anti-colonial conflict: it is idiotic to suggest that Israel’s proposed ceasefire agreement (one which would obviously favour their commitment to emptying Gaza and continuing to do settler-colonialism) should be considered on par with Hamas’ proposed ceasefire agreement. It would be like accepting the peace-agreement of slave-owners after the Nat Turner Rebellion, one which re-instated a fundamentally racist and unjust status quo. An Israeli ceasefire is (as the thousands of pre-Oct 7 deaths attest) not an actual ceasefire for Palestinians.
i think from the perspective of rhetoric (lonerbox is a media personality so i judge him on those dimensions) he should just be more mindful of his output.
i think that his coverage is fine so long as he focuses on topics with appropriate proportion of time. Otherwise his output is no different than CNN (as far as focusing on dumb streamer drama because they get "higher ratings"). very disappointing
Should add dates

Thanks. Extremely difficult to justify Israel’s actions on the Palestinians atm, but LonerBox and Destiny are helping.
what about their governments actions is actually still worthy of justification at this point? even many of their own citizens dont think it is.

Whats the point of the American empire if we cant even get them to speak English
Whats cutter?
Qatar. It's a more accurate pronunciation than our rather Westernized pronunciation of "cuh-TAR"
@@EthanGoff-qz4jk I see, thanks for the clarification, it seems the spelling in English doesn't help.
@@BeldorasYeah “Qatur” seems like a better Anglicized form.
I don’t think it is inappropriate to pronounce it “incorrectly” either. A French UA-camr actually illustrates this quite well. Every language “regionalizes” the names of countries and also loanwords. To return to the example of the French UA-camr, French people don’t intentionally pronounce McDonald’s, hotdog, hamburger, LinkedIn, etc like Americans while speaking French. In English, we would pronounce Qatar as kuh-TAR, and that’s fine.
@@IRepkoI agree I will keep pronouncing it cuh-TAR cause in my view that’s the correct way to say it in English 🤷♂️
I'm actually curious what lonerbox would consider as legitimate concern though. Lonerbox has rejected concerns on the famine occuring in gaza, he's rejected protests calling for a cease-fire. Does he just have destiny brain where he'll argue with people for its own sake or does he actually care for palestinian lives?
honestly i thought he would be reasonable on this & disproves the zionist/settler colonial sympathizer accusation.
but turns out he's another Destiny like leftist.
@@rG1vZit seems like there's not one criticism of israel that he wouldn't argue against. even though not that long ago he was talking about how israel is an apartheid regime.
W comment

@@pinkcheese917 he does criticize Israel for overly relaxing their acceptable ratio of Civilian/Combatants. For maintains the settlement project in the West Bank. I disagree that regime-change in Russia would necessarily lead to a worse outcome than Putin, relative to US interests. His answer reflects US’ longstanding attempts to try to validate Russian democracy and not come off like we’re jockeying for regime change in Russia.

There is more evidence that israel is bad so im not super sure what mocking that idea serves
Like hasan doesn't have all the info on that deal but to poke at the notion that israel not bad seems sus
The videos been out only 20min so I doubt you’ve had time to watch the entire thing so let me explain the intentions of that. Loner is commenting on people who already have their mind set and bend narratives to fit these feelings even if the facts of the matter are overlooked. This isn’t helpful even to the stated goals of raising awareness about Palestinian suffering or liberation and mostly contributes to a low information media environment. - editor olive
@@lonerboxlive that's valid but I think it is interesting to point out that Loner has played significant defense for Israel's actions, downplaying a lot of their worst atrocities to "mistakes." This doesn't mean that I believe that Israel is committing a genocide, but their worst actions are framed as oopsies whereas any action Hamas takes is framed as trying to destroy Israel and Jewish people in the region (which I don't disagree that they are trying to do). Like Loner didn't even comment on either of the flour massacres where the IDF admitted that no Hamas members were in the area. I understand wanting to give nuance on the issue, but Loner has rarely given nuance to the other side at least as of recent. Another thing I can think of is the student protests where Loner looked at a couple statements from the SJP at Columbia and the one black kid's crazy tik toks to dishonestly portray the students as a monolith and heavily imply that they all believe this, going so far as to show clips of a group of students being antisemitic when they aren't even 1% of the total protestors.
