You start noticing small things when watching these scenes such as Monica wiping away a tear, when they kissed. That kiss was something alright. It's also interesting because Aniston and Schwimmer in recent times admitted, they had feelings for each other but were unable to pursue it. The tenderness and intimacy of the scene is just captured perfectly. It's one of my favorite scenes. This show was magic. Such shows are rare.

I don't want to disappoint you but it's just a TV show so they must show some stuff that looks nice. I don't have much experience with women but both me and my friends who have had way more women than I have, can tell you there is a very small chance, if you're like Ross. You'll rather be her best friend, who will comfort her after next unsuccessful relationship but sooner or later she'll find another guy. The best way to deal with that is to learn how to play this game and make yourself attractive in girls' eyes. And if you think about a serious relationship, never, absolutely never, let your feelings make you blind. Be more rational and try to figure out how much you can trust her and rely on her. This scene gets me every time, no matter how many times I've watched it. My heart just breaks at the look on Ross's face as Rachel leaves with Chip, as well as the look on his face when he's by the door afterwards, like he's just relived the entire thing over again; and then the look on Rachel's face that just says "I never knew...." before she walks over and kisses him. That kiss at the end was just the sweetest thing in the world and then all is right with the world again.
It's something to do with the tension in the video which is followed by Rachel's slow walk to Ross and the release when she kisses him. If there was nothing deeper to their relationship she would have said "Oh, that's SWEET" and the conversation would have moved back to how different they looked back then. The real question is why they have moved to a world city *NYC* and they are still living in each others pocket, like they're still in high school. Chandler's a big shot, Ross is a Professor, Monica is a chef etc. I email my sister 1-2 times a week, but we live on opposite sides of the planet.

I’m the 1,000th comment. I can’t even tell you why I’m here, but I am. I randomly thought about this scene and wanted to see it again. I’m not even a Friends fan really. This just always stuck with me.
The pacing of this show was incredible. They had scenes like this one that built up to a climax and transformed it from just a situation comedy to a househould event and drew audiences in deeper evey season like a favorite soap opera. Maybe the last really great situation comedies to ever air.
I think what makes this moment so much more special is the fact that they didn’t kiss the whole time. They kissed for a bit, and then just held one another. Friends is just so different now that we know David and Jen had feelings for one another while filming. I know it’s been years since it ended, but I really think they should try to rekindle the flame. I know the three women hang out often, but the guys are either busy or living in other states/countries. Also, watching their interviews hit different as well (whenever the interviewer would bring up David to Jen or vice versa)

yesss i remember thinking they were way more into their kisses than actors on other shows!! like i was really impressed they were so comfortable and touchy in their scenes together
I also remember long ago, when the show was still young, the cast saying that they had all agreed there'd be no dating between the cast, because it could screw up the show and all their friendships as they really were all close.
