I too am glad Pure centered the console in their 2nd gen. I sincerely hope Pure can bring Suspension to their 3rd gen e-scooters. I am an owner of Pure Pro (1st gen aka Casio watch lol) and have been monitoring e-scooter rentals, hopeful 2022 UK law change as well as review videos like this one.
I love Pure as for they're waterproof rating.
Please Pure Electric, if ya listening, I just request two things in your next gen of e-scooters and that is SUSPENSION (quad suspension like this Apollo Phantom) and secondly a 19 MPH speed setting!🙏

11:45 that's what I love about EUCs. I can take mine anywhere and it's a monster. 200km range and 80km/h top speed. The size of a backpack. Hard to beat that.

@@GLBlackestNight "no comparison at all" aside from the fact they're both personal EVs lol. Performance wise though no comparison at all. There's much cheaper EUCs that have as much power as the Sherman.

You can't officially retire until you've thoroughly tested a Rion RE9 or similar model.
But use this for your coast to coast and you'll only need to charge it up once 👍

I juist ordered a Kuickwheel (those guys make escooters for rental companies, they have quite the range and built to last!) now that I moved from The Netherlands (forbidden) to Vienna, Austria, where they're legal! Well, ones up to 600W, lol. That Apollo is a BEAST, holy wack! Then again... that price, ouch!

Great and funny review, as usual! I agree with you, these beast scooters are overkill, especially as they are illegal basically everywhere... Still I have 2 of the lightest dual motors and I loved them, the Boosted rev that you mentioned and the etwow dual GT, they are both a joy to ride

@@BenFox01 The dual GT is made by etwow Spain by putting 2 GT motors and a bigger battery (15ah). It weight only 15.5 kg and it looks exactly like a normal GT, but it's much more powerful. Not faster, mind you, but more powerful (more acceleration and keeps the max speed even uphill). The power is very similar to that of the Boosted rev. The Rev is just faster in the first like 2 seconds, then power (and speed) is basically the same. The etwow though has double the battery life of the Rev (around 30km at full speed or 40-50 at moderate speed, e.g. 20 km/h). There is nothing at this weight that comes even close to this power...

@@SSH01 Hi, they only sell it in Spain, so you have to import it and the price is €1899. I raced a dualtron mini so I can tell you. We start the same (because the etwow is more progressive at the beginning), but after 10 m I overtake the mini, so it's has a more powerful acceleration than the mini, except for the first 2-3 seconds, where it is the same. The dualtron mini 17ah has more range, because the dual gt has a 720wh battery (48v 15ah) while the mini 17ah has a 884wh battery (52v 17ah), and a bit less power. With the dual GT you can expect around 30 km at full speed on a relative flat ground. If you go half speed (20km/h) you can do up to 50km.
You get used to thumb triggers, however they are. A non issue.
Phantom appollo is that waterproof 🧐.

If I had the money and was actually allowed to ride the bloody scooter I have I would trade up for this one. E-scooters were the perfect tool for this pandemic/ potentially zombie infested current landscape until they wanted there cut. People complaining about them although most of their issues are from people who are renting them. Police asking people for license's/registration when they know that's not even a thing that can be done. Regret not switching to a e-bike when I wanted to they don't harass people for those.

Vsett 10+ destroys that thing for the same cost.. and doesn’t sound like you’re dragging marbles in a tin can behind you.

@@eazy-333 my bad.. just got mine a few days ago and have been pretty amped.. I got mine on sale so it was close to the same price points in the US. The two issues that turned me off on the Phantom was the fender rattling and the crapy kickstand. The Phantom was a review version so maybe they have fixed the issues. Otherwise i was thinking some spray gasket or some o-rings could fix the rattling but after seeing the Vsett .. i was sold
Th VSETT has then again that bouncy front light and crappy finger throttle 😬 I’m still undecided which one I should get. I reckon the Apollo Phantom is less of a Police magnet👮♂️
@@TurreTuntematon the light is only an issue if riding at night off road otherwise it’s not a big issue but when riding at 40-55mph it doesn’t cast out far enough for safe reaction time. 35mph and under it’s perfect but definitely needs a higher mounted light for high speed at night. The phantom light isn’t as bright but it is higher and will probably work fine considering the Phantom only has a top speed of 40mph.
The trigger throttle is way better than those on typical scooters with more veritable control. At first I also thought it would be annoying but with it in a lower position then what is commonly seen i actually like it better. Thumb throttles always gave me a muscle cramp in between my index and thumb on long rides and I’m not getting that from the trigger style.
The other things I noticed about Phantom I wasn’t happy with was the key start, you have to have a separate key or you will be riding around with your keys dangling from the handlebars. Also I’m a goofy foot, this means my left foot is in the back and is also the foot i put down and push off with at a stop, that kickstand is in a horrible place for someone like me.
Honestly not trying to sell anyone on anything but I think the Vsett is a superior product compared to the Apollo on pretty much every level so far. Also only have put 360 miles on it so far so maybe my opinion will change but still feels like a new machine. Hope you enjoy whatever it is you decide on ✌🏻💕
