Thanks for joining us for another one of Apollo's spooky rides! I can't wait to see what they do next.
Hi I ordered an Apollo Ghost what u think of that
Love your vids btw
@@gamestv-rf6dg thanks! The Apollo ghost is definitely a great scooter, you’re going to love it!
@@AlienRides ok thanks alot!

Great Video Kevin! Love your new logo! Apollo Phantom is a nice scooter! Keep up the great work my favorite 👽! Gotta love that techno music
Glad you like the techno music, we’ll keep using it for you 😆
Fun fact: I actually own a Apollo Phantom and just a heads up, my phantom broke after 2 days of ownership. I got a flat tire after not even riding the scooter the next day just checking up on it to have a flat tire, when the day before the tire was fine. So I fixed it put 45psi, tire slime and went for a ride and while I was riding my front tire looked very flat and looked weird..so I fixed the tire again. Once again the next day it pops with tire slime and 45psi just sitting in the garage. Without me even riding it lol. Plus, it's not the first time I changed a tire on a electric scooter. Funniest thing ever, Apollo doesn't care! I reached out and told them and they never responded back! "24 hour response".
I see I'm not the only one. My scooter had rubbing fenders and error message on the display a horrible rough finish on the clamp and the steering stem was completely loose whereas it's supposed to be somewhat locking in the middle almost acting as a steering damper. My friend ordered a phantom as well and his has a loose kickstand other than that his is perfect. These things are being assembled in China and the quality control is just not there! They're using good components but the quality of assembly is lacking still. I also got a flat tire but rode with low tire pressure so that was my fault I replaced the tube and it's been fine ever since. I absolutely love the thing though
Oh no, sorry to hear about the problems with your phantom. Have you taken out to the tube and determined what's causing the flats? Sometimes they're pinch flats, or something inside the tire. Might be worth trying a tire change anyway.
Also broken safety collar on mine . They resolved my issues . Quite the ordeal though . Oh and remove the screw from the front of your little locking clamp on your stem and see if it's warped mine was warped five different ways lol
50psi is recommended.
@@AlienRides It's not your fault. Yeah so their pinch flats, and I forgot to mention but I also had a bent brake rotor when I got the scooter. But the thing is, when I got the scooter I got a flat on a nice smooth road. So confused how its a pinch flat the first time. But the other times it wasn't a pinch flat, just a hole in the inner tube for some reason. When I put slime and correct air pressure to make sure this doesn't happen again. Not only the tire had problems, I have 0 rear brake. I made it as tight as I can and still doesn't feel like pinching the brake to slow me down. So I rely on front brake. Plus, I didn't even touch the brakes. I even bought a brand new brake disc for the scooter which was the same size and everything just for the same problem to occur. I changed the tire so many times on the scooter I gave up and waiting for Apollos response. I think this is a defective unit as Apollo is a good brand just they messed up on my unit.
Another classy yet short review, Keep that content flowing much appreciation here in the U.K.
Thanks and glad to have you here. Hoping we get some better laws in the UK soon! 👽🖖
I agree with the tires! When I upgraded them on my Mantis, it feels so much better cornering and handling turns than the slimmer 2.5" width tires. These 3" wide tires should be standard on all new scooter models.
Yeah, 3" tires for the win! Much better handling.
Great review👍🏻. I love the Phantom. I got mine last week. It’s super smooth and stable. It feels like an electric motorcycle but you’re standing up. Apollo did a great job. They put a lot of work into this. It wasn’t just another clone of a Zero 10x or whatever. There are obviously faster scooters coming out this year like the Nami Burn-e Viper, but that’s more than twice the price of the Phantom. Also, do you really want to go 50mph? I think safety becomes a concern at that speed. I’m happy with 40mph.
Awesome, glad you got the phantom and are enjoying it. 40mph is plenty fast, ride safe! 👽🖖
Absolutely correct on speed. There was a time in my life where speed was the only thing that mattered. I'm a little older and 40 mph is good enough. I will leave the speed freaks to the younger generation as I was so I'm not begrudging them.
My dream scoot... Thanks so much for the awesome review ...
Awesome! Will be shredding mine once it arrives! And posting the experience :)
Awesome, you're going to love it, can't wait to see you on it.
Awesome video can’t wait for my Apollo ghost!
Nice, the apollo ghost is a great scooter, you're going to love it. 👽🖖
Been waiting for this
Glad we could make this one.
„You can really feel that extra half inch” 👀
😬😅 you can, wanna feel it? 😉
The Apollo scooters look a lot more quality then most scooters around! Awesome video man I loved the intro shots! The black scene was a nice set up
Also leaving this comment to see if I’m shadowbanned as Gingeronwheels said I must be as my comments disappear on his videos.
Huh well I definitely see your comments. Sometimes comments do get help up in a "review queue" that most folks don't check. Unfortunate. 👽🖖
I got the matis .. and waiting for delivery today my phantom...
Can wait!!!
Awesome, you're going to love it! 👽🖖
Just in case anyone reads this.....Apollo fixed absolutely every issue with the V2 and V3. I have the V2 with the V3 upgrade kit and can get 43 mph on GPS. Not one issue. Same tires and tubes for 8 months. Put slime in on day one. Handles like a dream. Trails, road etc. I've owned a lot of the big names and I'll never sell my Phantom
Nice bro finally get a review with ph like the logo 👽
Thanks, I like the scooter and logo too! 👽🖖
Awesome review as always 🙂👍 I know nothing will satisfy you after riding RION scooter where can I get the some Alien ride 👽 stickers ? Looks sick 😎👍
Hah, thank you! The Rion scooter is fun for sure, but we gotta ride em all. Stickers are on our website. 👽🖖
Nice! 👍
A well balanced scooter love the thumb throttle much more than the finger one that was on my dualtron ultra 2 I returned it
Yeah, the thumb throttle is interesting, but it could have less deadzone. 👽🖖
@@AlienRides when u say dead zone ? Just curious I only feel thumb throttle may work better for me because I have a fused wrist from arena football injury.
@@hoodsta_Pizzo yes maybe it will still be good for you. The rion curve throttle is also another good one
@@AlienRides but the rion is super fast right? And very expensive I got plenty vehicles I’m just a 40^ year old that miss fun stuff like scooters an electric vehicles so do u feel the Apollo phantom is a great choice from tires to reliability an longevity or would u recommend something else ? I liked the dualtron ultra 2 but I didn’t know how to set the driver mode an got frustrated and heard the Apollo phantom is easy to set plus I had a four wheeler with push throttle
How you doing my name is Francisco I'm from Houston Texas I'm the first time watching your video about the new scooter you got that runs over 50 mph I just finished washing with the and I like it I want to know do you use it often the scooter you got or what the video I'm talking about is 10 months ago
I ride fast scooters all the time. Not sure exactly which one you’re talking about though. 👽🖖
The new logo is awesome
Awesome, glad you like it!
THNX man. How do you compare the ride to other established dual motor scoots in the same category? 10x, mantis, etc? Those tires I didn't quite catch the name of those...can you let me know? Did you say 10x3 or 10x3.2? Love your stuff as usual man...glad to see the more regular posts again and love the new logo!
Thanks! We're back and got a lot of good stuff coming out soon. I think these are the 3" tuvot tires, really nice ones. Hope they are standard on most 10" scooters in the future. I would say the ride is very similar to other scooters in the range, maybe more of a refined gentle acceleration and suspension though. 👽🖖
@@AlienRides Thanks man... ahhh, but these are not tubeless right? They need tubes? I'm tubeless...
@@jediradekcrif9568 yeah, these are tubed. Tubeless is better!
I've got a question about the weped scooters. Do you know the difference between the ss, sst, ssr, and gtr models? Thanks
Generally it’s just the controller technology that changes a bit. Smoother or faster ride. I don’t know the exact differences, but I hope to make some more Weped videos soon. 👽🖖
Would you personally recommend this, a kaabo mantis, vsett10+ or dualtron victor? Never bought a scooter but ride the rentals frequently.
These days I'm loving the Vsett 10+. We made a little video on it here: ua-cam.com/video/MLUgUzSo04k/v-deo.html 👽🖖
Nice 👍👍👍
Thanks! 👽🖖
Hey im just about to buy Kaabo mantis pro+ (10pro) do you think apollo phantom v2 would be a better optoion?
I think both of those are really good options, definitely check out the vsett 10+ as well before you decide. 👽🖖
Hi! Alien Rides, what kind of drones do u use?
Skydio 2 for most videos!
Good review and I appreciate you taking the time to do it. I have a bit of constructive criticism; Try to talk with a slightly slower cadence and perhaps reconsider not including music in the background while you are talking.
Thank you for the feedback! 👽🖖
Hey DOPE VIDEO man!! But I have a question I just brought the Apollo Phantom V2 V60 and I was wondering if you think I could get it up 2 50 MPH I’m 6 feet tall but only weigh 135 pounds what do you think??
Cool, congrats on the new scooter. It seems unlikely to be able to hit 50mph as there is an exponential need for more power delivery at higher speeds. Hope you like it though! 👽🖖
@@AlienRides Thank you so much for getting back 2 me!! And thank you man I got it up 2 44 MPH I’m happy with it it’s a great scooter I’m saving up for the Wolf King GT in black lol have a wonderful day or night appreciate you!! 💯😎
My hydraulic one arrives to me in SOMA tomorrow!!!!
Awesome, can't wait to see you ridding around the city on it. 👽🖖
@@AlienRides sadly the rear brake rotor is bent and the brake light doesn't work. Hopefully they'll respond soon about a fix! Would hate to have to box it back up!
It was stolen the day the new parts arrived. So sad.
@@KalJoao oh no, I’m really sorry to hear about that. Living in the city can really suck sometimes. Stop by our store (PEV Works) to see if we can do anything for you.
Pretty nice look. But shocks position gets some questions. If we draw a kinematic scheme, it won't be perfect on this scooter.
I’m not familiar with kenimatic stuff, I’ll have to check that out, thanks.
Can you review the Works-Electric Hollyburn SS?
I would love to review that one some time!
Is this scooter better than the mantis pro and do you think it's faster
It’s really similar. I do like some things about this more like the screen and the looks, but I think the mantis might be a little bit faster. 👽🖖
If you had to rate the thumb throttle on a scale of 1-10 how would you rate it? Alot of people are saying there's a dead zone 1/3 of the way when pushing down on the throttle meaning its basically a light switch goes from 0-100
I’ve been able to modulate the throttle pretty well even in sport mode. You gotta get used to it but you can go only a few miles per hour if you want and then accelerate smoothly. If you don’t control it well, you’ll just take off especially in sport mode.
@@jcarteeuga did change the P settings to modulate it?
@@707zacbuster I actually adjusted the P settings to 100% acceleration.
I wasn't really a fan of this thumb throttle, the RION Curve throttle will eventually solve those problems when it's finally here. 👽🖖
Too bad they cheeped out on the brakes and fenders. Glad I ordered a Rion, even if I never get it (almost a year now).
Good point, but I would say that this and the Rion are on completely different levels. A year is a crazy wait, you gotta be due soon, right? 😩
@@AlienRides Actually I was comparing it to my TNE Creator that costs the same but has hydraulic brakes and 60 volts. And solid mounted fenders. The only problem with it is that if you break it you can't get replacement parts. As for the Rion, I've just about given up on that idea.
The problem with the fender is they use two tiny little stupid screws to hold the thing. On top of that there's about a millimeter clearance between the tire and the fender just a poor poor decision to have that little of a clearance with a plastic component that's going to bend with two tiny screws that hold it together the first second I looked at it I said that thing is going to rub or eventually it's going to rub because the plastic is going to sag I don't know how such an oversight could happen. I knew within seconds of looking at it I don't know how Apollo didn't.
The upgrade to full hydraulic brakes is $150
@o3ru I ordered the Thrust thinking it will be more suitable for the road instead of all out racing. I guess it depends on how you will be using it.
CAN YOU TELL ME THAT COMPARE WITH GHOST AND PHANTOM WHICH ONE IS MORE SAFTY WHEN APPLY BRAKE?
Either one is great! 👽🖖
u should review the Nami Burn E
Thanks, that video is coming soon! 👽🖖
I’m missing the Skydio aerial views
We did a few here, but we'll have a lot more soon!
Ima be honest, it doesn’t seem like a very honest review. Almost like you’re afraid to talk bad about it. That bent front fender was horrible.
Both fenders were rubbing the tires on mine! I don't know why in the world they decided to make the gap between the tire and the fender about 1 mm! The fender is plastic and will eventually sag especially with the tiny little screws they're using to hold it! My front fender is fixed and my rear fender is completely off because I like the way it looks better anyway and it was rubbing
Yeah that was weird...i thought it looked kinda lame
We definitely talk about some of the stuff we don't like, like the throttle. Thanks for the feedback though. 👽🖖
I immediately noticed the fender, too. Thought, why would they do that? It needs to be secure from both sides.
@@lenmurtha8324 I noticed that from various brands, the scooters with a one sided mount fender always gives problem rubbing on the tire and disc. They have to stop that bs. 💩💩💩💩💩💩💩

It's made by the same Chinese factory that makes the Zero and re-branded Zero's. Apollo is just another re-brander but to give them credit I keep hearing they have amazing customer service.
To be fair, most scooter compagnies go by a chinese manufacturer. Though with the phantom, they changed the design quite a bit. The screen is unique, the reinforced stem, the 3 way locking stem, the folding mechanism. You can still see some ressemblance to the Zero’s lineup though. The main reason why they let chinese manufacturers do the building comes down to cost and workers. If it’s made in china, the cost goes down alot which makes pricing the scooter at a competitive price far easier. They also would need specialized equipment and personel. You can think of the Rion scooter, they’re crazy expensive with it’s high specs, carbon build, and built entirely in house.
Before, yes, the Appollo Scooters were rebranded Zeros, but since the Ghost, there’s clear differences between both brands in design since the Ghost and Phantom were designed by Appollo. Rebranded means they just slapped a different logo on a Zero and called it a day, I don’t think it’s the case at this point.
Chinese factorys have different quality tears, this is designed in Canada and manufactured in China. As an owner of a Ghost and a Phantom V3 with 6 years on them I can say most of my friends have alot of problems with their scooter and I dont.
@@christianpadilla2928 that's true 💯
@drekex6767 yes, and as a serial entrepreneur myself that has been in direct communications with the factories myself I can explain the last part of your statement. When initially launching a brand/company the money 💰 is limited and unless you're already established in the industry or happen to be buddies with someone that is then you have to build trust with the factory 🏭. They will gladly let you slap your logo on a generic item on the shelf. If you can establish good rapport they'll allow you to make customizations to the product that they normally will not allow below moq = minimum order quantity. Thanks to my excellent interpersonal skills almost each product from different factories in various industries my samples were customized almost to the max I really pushed it to the limit. What is the limit? Financial, because when you want something uniquely customized for your product now you have to pay for the engineer to design/redesign certain parts for you, you have to pay for the mold(s) to be made, depending on the part, in my case of the ebike brand I wanted a battery with certain specs: I had to pay $20,000 for the factory to apply for and receive UL certification, so I just couldn't do that at the time so that's one of many reasons why I might just sell helmets instead of the main product being the ebike and I might just scrap the whole thing and look for something else. I hope that helps. 💪🏻🤓👍🏻💯
@@christianpadilla2928 oh and Kevin, Mr. Alien 👽 Rides himself can confirm everything as we have been discussing these things behind the scenes for years. 💯
I'm so torn between this or the Kaabo mantis pro se
All good options, also check out the vsett line, it's very good. 👽🖖
I wanted to buy the scooter badly but the 60v model don't offer good range idk why it's still 40 miles like the 52v model. I'm one of those people that love to travel top speed lol so yea if that 60v model had more range I would of bought it.
The 60v version has higher voltage and higher wattage motors, which use more volts. Naturally, most higher voltage scooters don't go as far as you would hope, at higher speeds. I find that you can get more range on the 60v as long as you ride lower speeds. 👽🖖
name of that dope opening dnb track??
I gotta look it up, we just find a bunch of random copyright free songs. 👽🖖
FYI the OEM model name is VDM-10. I'm in talks with the factory to buy a sample. They have a newer one Dual Pro which has some very nice features but at 1.4x the price. This one here is better bang for the buck. Kaabo has to stop being lazy and update the design of the Mantis.
Interesting, let me know what you get. The mantis is definitely a bit of a dated design now. 👽🖖
@@AlienRides I had pre-ordered the Niu KQi3 scooter several months ago. Cargo ship 🚢 now expected delivery is November. Last night I realized the Niu KQi3 is the F1. Now I think I should cancel the order and get the VDM-10. I'll have to install IG on my new phone so I can share BTS business tips with you privately. Apollo seems to be lacking in customer service when I read the many threads in videos. They are good at innovating and coming out with a nice product a customer service just sucks.
lmao the apollo
good review!
Haha maybe your friends could do a more in depth one 😆
Apollo has large issues with the quality for the Phantom, which is reported all over the internet. This is ironic as the very reason this was designed in Canada was to have full control of what is getting produced for them in China.
That’s unfortunate hopefully they can fix those issues over the next few iterations. 👽🖖
hey will you be giving away scooters?
Unfortunately we can't do that quite yet, hopefully in the future though. 👽🖖
