    Not using a 31.8 handle bar really cuts down on choices. They should have left the discs hydraulic. 10" tires are too small for 65kmh. I wear size 9s and the deck feels small. The levers feel like they should be on a Walmart bike. Please don't go on about the regen brake. I'd rather use an easily replaced pad than put more stress on expensive parts. This is an expensive 60lb machine capable of high speeds, it deserves independent high quality brakes. And they're used so little I can't see how much power they save. No head light would have been better and the turn signals are where they're hard to see. The app doesn't really add much. Customer service has had bad reviews and I personally found it insulting. Paid extra for shipping insurance and when it came with a badly warped disc they forwarded a video on how to straighten it. For a cheap 20$ part. Just changed it, couldn't even respond to them. On the plus side the main chassis is pretty solid, the drive train is smooooth, split rims are nice to work on, brakes can be upgraded and finding a 25.4 handlebar I like isn't impossible. While I don't regret the Phantom, I definitely regret not doing more real-world research before getting into this hobby. Apollo has some slick branding, gets great reviews but all the fawning is from youtubers who were provided pre production units. Look for reviews from purchasers

    Thank you for the info on the locked in center point. I absolutely hate that and you saved me from buying and returning this thing.

    I just ordered mines to commute to work. Got really tired of taking the train.

    Keeping my eye out for a good dual motor scooter. This does check a bunch of the boxes.

      Apollo makes some kick butt scooters for sure. Both my wife and I own Apollo Ghosts and we absolutely love them. I've got an Apollo Phantom on order so hopefully I get it in the next month or so. I can't wait to ride it. The regen brake is unique for light-heavyweight scooters. Usually you only see dedicated regen brakes on smaller commuter scooters, so it's great to see it on a performance scooter. Less maintenance is always a good thing.

    I tried the Phantom and Nami Klima. I wish the deck was larger for my 6'4" frame with size 13 feet. I wish both had a bigger deck and taller handlebars. The deck on the Nami was a little bigger, but not by much. Ludo was insanely quick to me and more than I would probably ever need. The liked the thumb power and thumb regnerative brake positions, but the regenerative brake was so strong. Don't which level they had it on. Yeah, the screen was definitely not bright enough.

      Thanks for this comment, I'm 6' 3" and was concerned with the handle bar height and deck length.

    I am interested in getting an e scooter eventually. I like the higher speeds and especially being able to easily climb steep hills. Like this scooter. What brands do you think I should take a look at? What are the good ones? There are just too many brand options.

      There are a lot out there, Apollo has a strong following and has been around for a while and is a company that seems to be pushing the limits of e scoots. You really can't go wrong with something like this, other brands in this price range that are also good are Kaabo, Dualatron and Teveron

    I agree that there is no wobble at high speed... I am at 860km's on mine and all i had to do is check the bolts, tire pressure and grease all moving parts. Never had one single issue so far.

    Good detailed review. I personally don’t like the center notch for the steering so I am going to pass on the V3. I’m taking a look at the Mantis V2 with Sine Wave controller.

      I brought them when they 1st came out, and most of the scooters had some problem. Stem, Motors . Especially with the 1st phantom and the New city .

    What is the cable hanging out the left side of the front wheel?
    The power cable?
    Makes me nervous enough to wait for V4

    hi have just watched your video my issue with the phantom is that the neck stem is prone to snapping.
    whats your thoughts on this ?

    • @ElectricRevolution
      @ElectricRevolution  11 місяців тому +1

      I haven't read or heard of that happening so not sure, I feel if it were an issue there would be some sort of recall or adjustment, what have you heard?

    kaabo mantis king gt versus Apollo phantom, thoughts?

    • @ElectricRevolution
      @ElectricRevolution  9 місяців тому +1

      Haven't tried the King but I know it's a lot more so it's difficult to make a comparison, the Phantom is a great scooter and I thought a good value for the price

    I like the idea of a separate regen lever, would be interested if anyone has made a one lever regen like one pedal driving like Tesla's

      Scooters are too light for that. Even light regen braking is prett jarring. And they're so light they don't put much power back into the battery.

      i only use my regen breaks, never touched my disc breaks.. The regen breaking works so amazing i love it.

      @@sergiolandz6056 I ride electric skateboards and that's all they have for brakes and they can adjust the brake force and it works great, the regen is quite small but that is no big deal 👍
