Believe me,us old uns in Britain dont want centimetres either,we were brought up on inches and feet etc and aint got a clue about all that other stuff. Great review, thanks very much.
You still use "hands and stones" for boxing measurements, correct? I want to say I was watching boxing and saw that but not 100%. I feel metric and imperial both have their uses depending on what needs to be measured, but I learned imperial for sure. Thanks for watching!
I know this is an older video,,but I still run the machine. I do have have Mars Tiger Coil on it (great combo). When I'm in heavier iron and Emi I disk at 47 to 55 and can run this at full sensitivity with no depth loss, I get 8 to 11" on coins. I still believe this machine is a fluke,,this Eurotek actually IDs to those depths. Such a simple machine,no brainer,,super great coin hunter.
THGT, You do a superb job with all your reviews, good format from go to woe. Could you please tell me if the 8" Euro Tek coil is compatible with the BH Land Ranger Pro.
Vert impressive for a machine that costs less than a top quality pinpointer and nice shovel / spade. First Texas Products are starting to pack a good bit of punch in their starter line detectors. Heck, the next thing we will see may be that they will be completely water resistant.... HH and Merry Christmas to you, Huntress and the entire family.
It's a great machine and wish it was more popular here in the states. Name obviously hurt that. We very well may see that their next mid to upper end machines are waterproof. They sure know how to take care of the beginner and intermediate market - no doubt about it. Looking forward to 2017.
не плохой прибор, год с ним отходил, и с моно и с дд, в оконцовке на него торнадо поставил, после сорекса им ищу и понимаю, что и без наворотов можно искать, главно думать сигналы нормально)
They both excel at different things. If I was a relic hunter first - the ETP would be my choice. If coin shooting or needing weatherproofing I'd get the F22.
TheHunterGT I am still having challenges sorting out the signals though. I keep digging a lot of trash. So far the only thing I found that wasn't trash was a 1998 nickel. I wish I could spend a day with someone more experienced to give me guidance.
Quasimobile - The Dairyland Digger Any signal ID that does not bounce around each sweep. Dig it. If it is above 80...dig it for sure. Even if it bounces. Nickels are usually a strong 58...dimes aand pennies 83... quarters a 88. Of course at relic sites...dig anything above 40 (iron).
I got this detector about 6 months a go, great machine. What settings would you suggest for this machine as I would like to know your opinion, specifically discrimination. Thanks
Nice machine, and awesome video. After watching your videos I think I want to perform all those tests on my Bounty Hunter to see where it stands against this machine. Thanks for sharing. Happy Holidays. Eric
Let me know how it stacks up Eric. Going to be pumping out some shorter 5 minute videos showing how different coils do in my backyard soil....also separation and unmasking. Happy Holidays.
I forgot about the hold-down feature to save the settings on my Eurotek Pro and everytime I would turn it back on, it would revert to the default setting. Wow, it was annoying. Well, 'When all else fails, read the directions' or watch your video here HunterGT, lol. I am very impressed with the Alpha though and actually think it is deeper than the Eurotek Pro but mine is using the 11" DD coil so maybe (it) is actually the deeper detector. There is one (BIG, HUGE) thing I don't like about the Eurotek Pro and that is the fact that it doesn't have notch like the Alpha and I think that is backwards of Teknetics to (not) have included that in the more expensive Eurotek Pro. That kind of sucks. So the pluses of the Alpha over the Eurotek Pro are that the Alpha has notch the Eurotek Pro doesn't and also seems to go deeper than the Eurotek Pro. It 'kills' the Eurotek here, that you air test, on the nickel by an inch and a half. Maybe my larger DD coil 'evens the score' but I highly doubt it. Larger coils don't necessarily equal more depth. This is a VERY common myth. It has much more to do with the power of the transmit circuitry in any machine. I.E.; 8" deep on coins with my old Fisher 1260-X and a 3" 'nugget' coil mounted to it and oh man, it's as quick recovery speeds/response time as a G2 as well.
Prairie G Eurotek Pro selling point is the faster recovery speed...iron audio...VCO tone. Also the iron indicator too left of screen. It is made specifically for Euro relic hunters. That is why they left notch out and did not have a US coin scale on it. The Alpha is great for the price... but I do prefer the ETP personally. Especially in a crown cap infested area.
If a coin shooter I'd take the QDP or F22 most likely as they both have notch and category displays. For relic hunting where I want to find non-ferrous in iron....ETP easily wins there. It unmasks very well and has a faster recovery than the other 2. Depth is similar on all 3.
I don't have to comment, for you to know I was excited to finally see this. I think I was your first view on this one, but I figured my comment would sound like a broken record...
I get it done earlier than I figured since Tarot bought one and you had been wanting one. For $219 it's pretty hard to beat. Might grab a couple more someday and keep them as loaners and backups.
Safe to say then, it was better than you had anticipated? It seems a lot of people, myself included, like to stack it against the LRP; as the two detectors they are considering in this price range.
The box does not make that claim specifically. I was being tongue in cheek. It says European hunting "conditions"....meaning the machine does better on mid conductors than high conductors.
It's different because for thousands of years people have been working the land.. using iron tools, iron wire and such.. so ground itself is full of iron scrap.. if you don't have a fast responsive machine with good separation it would be a nightmare to detect some locations.. of course this is not the case everywhere.. depends how far back the land has been used and for what.. as I wrote a short review above,, I use this machine and it's awesome.. makes it an efortless breeze compared to other machines I used..
@@yashuahamashiach2780 that's rubbish, your information is wrong, the mineralization content in Europe is different to the US so different types of detectors would work better than others, it has nothing to do with tools in the ground. 🤣🤣
Thanks THGT for a great detector review with clear instructions & information as usual. I guess I'm one of those people who has been "hounding" you to review this detector lol. I have just purchased this model and cant wait to get out when the weather improves. It's a lightweight very capable machine at a great price and the variable iron audio is awesome.
Plenty of emails and UA-cam messages about it lol. I think you will do fantastic Bob. Really impressed me for the price and how well in unmasks and separates. I wish all manuals were as thorough. Very good job they did there. Have a couple very nice relic sites I will be hammering with it and the other detectors. Wish Spring would hurry up!
Nice review.. I've been using one for 2 years now with larger DD coil and it''s an amazing little machine.. lite like a feather.. can swing it all day.. I recharge 9v Lii ion batt and it lasts for weeks.. never measured but I think I can get a 100 hours or more on it before recharging again.. cuts through european soil littered with iron with ease.. most of the time I know exactly what I got before I dig it out.. even rusted iron that gives higher numbers it detects as iron by displaying IRON on screen with the number.. Sound options to lower iron volume is awesome since iron is everywhere.. Only thing I can complain about is a very loud pinpoint sound. I use headphones tho, so it's not a problem for me, but someone might find it annoying. Highly recommended to everyone who wants a light, fast responsive machine.. gets great depth with this coil also.. you can end up spending much more money for much less. As far as I know nothing better to buy even if you up the price somewhat.. so all things considered I give it a solid 9/10.
the best for me is zero discrimination , sensitivity to 10 and sound to 10...like this you ve goot full deep capacity and no more afrous iron noises....
I just got a Eurotek Pro for my Birthday. I live in the U.S.A. Thank You so much for the video. I'm new to Metal detecting. Your video is a Big help.
My pleasure Rose. Always glad to be of service! You picked a great detector to start off with. Best of luck with it.
TheHunterGT
Thanks! 😊
Best review I have seen for these (and most other) detectors..
Well structured and clearly explained.
Also, nice clear video. Thanks
Thanks Mike I really appreciate that.

Excellent review. That's an awesome machine, especially for the price. Well done!!
Thank you Jerry!
Merry Christmas to you and your family Hunter and God bless you guys always!!
Thank you Apache! Happy Holidays to you as well...hope you had a great Christmas.
Thanks for the review just ordered the dd version for a great sale price
THGT, You do a superb job with all your reviews, good format from go to woe.
Could you please tell me if the 8" Euro Tek coil is compatible with the BH Land Ranger Pro.
Thanks - I appreciate the kind words! Yes...the Eurotek (non-Pro) has a push-in coil and is 7.7khz like the LRP. Works perfectly!

Мне нравится SOREX и хотел бы использовать один. Eurotek очень хорошо до сих пор. Спасибо за просмотр.
Hi did you do part 2 on the eurotek pro
Gordon Jones No just this one. I did take it out for a hunt or two though.
+TheHunterGT... If you had to pick between the Fisher F22 or the Eurotek Pro, which one would you go with??
They both excel at different things. If I was a relic hunter first - the ETP would be my choice. If coin shooting or needing weatherproofing I'd get the F22.
I wish they would of gave the new Time Ranger Pro the 3 tone as it is basically 2 right?
Correct. It is low tone for iron/ferrous and VCO tone for non-ferrous.
Great video huntergt. Will send you some heat for Christmas.
Yes please lol...this snow is killing me.
This is the detector that I am starting with.
Quasimobile - The Dairyland Digger Great detector. Fantastic in iron and trashy parks.

I personally run the disc right under nickels...so about 56 on the disc. Nickels come it at 57-58-59
TheHunterGT Thanks heeps
Another Great video Thanks HunterGT :)
Thanks Amber...appreciate that!
Did you say the fisher F5 coil will work on the eurotec pro? Thanks friend..
Yes...they are both screw in connectors and both 7.7khz. Early F5 models had push in connectors so make sure you don't have that.
Thanks much...

That will be awesome, I would like to see how different coils perform on the ETP.
Good review.
Thanks.
Thank you!

Compared to the bh qdp, how do they compare. They appear similar along with the f22.

Teknetics Treasuretek Elite just got today show this one too
They only sell that one at Cabela's so I probably won't be doing that one sorry.

TheHunterGT we're gonna have to facetime or something, so you can talk me through the Omega. I am virtually lost...
Safe to say then, it was better than you had anticipated? It seems a lot of people, myself included, like to stack it against the LRP; as the two detectors they are considering in this price range.
LRP wins hands down. The ONLY thing it does not have that the ETP does is iron audio. LRP is leaps and bounds better as far as features and options.
We can def talk on Monday about it...no problem at all. I have an account with just about everything.
Nice detector, I had it in my list before I bought G2.
Better than ACE 150 / 250 series.
Great review!
Easily better than the 150 or 250 as far as performance goes. Thanks for watching and commenting my friend.
will it find gold coins good?
It will hit a gold coin if it is there. Keep in mind gold coins are very rare and no detector is going to change that.
I missed part of the vid, but how is Euro soil different from American soil ?
The box does not make that claim specifically. I was being tongue in cheek. It says European hunting "conditions"....meaning the machine does better on mid conductors than high conductors.

You did indeed.

That is really a nice little machine. I might think about one but I now have my mind set on a G2. Thanks for sharing.
Great little machine for sure...but it is no G2. :)

A good review itself right there! Thanks for the comment and glad you are enjoying it. It is a fantastic machine for the price.
Wow, I see my favourite coins here in manual - Russian Empire copper and silver ones! Love them. Nice device, thanks for review!
The manual was pretty impressive and I wish they would do that for all of their detectors. Thank you for watching and commenting!
Not bad but this machine is twice the price in europe or uk, always much cheaper in usa
the best for me is zero discrimination , sensitivity to 10 and sound to 10...like this you ve goot full deep capacity and no more afrous iron noises....
Its a cheap plastic toy, look at the tubing thin as a pop can and bends, screws on the control box pull out and plastic breaks, pin pointer never works
Best bang for the dollar
Very hard to beat for the price...only the Land Ranger Pro IMO provides a better value.
