I just bought a Fisher F19 for £110 boxed and brand new! so bought the Detech 13" Ultimate DD coil for £100 I havnt tried it yet as I got carried away and bought the X-TERRA PRO second hand with 2 half years warrenty still on it.. bargain! so couldnt resist!! What was the Mars Tiger coil like? Do you know what the specs are to compare?
I just found out that when you turn on the Fisher the first number is the month and the second number is the year that that machine was made! september 2022 mine👍
now got one of these on the way with the 11inch dd coil very good detector for here in the UK on roman coins had the g2+ which is the same machine but hated the rod to cumbersome for me but it found me many roman coins and a gold stater
I'm thinking bout pulling the Trigger on this F19 for $449 , just found out the Technetics G2 is the same exact machine . They are both on sale for $449 . I think I'm going with the F19
How about this....use my code A1474 at www.tekneticsdirect.com and get the G2+ for $250 off the MSRP of $699. Same exact unit as the F19 but with the superior pistol grip....and it comes with the 11 inch DD coil. :)
And to answer the exact question...all 3 (F19 - G2 - GBP) are the same style head unit...it is just different options in the menu...and coils...that will set them apart. F19 and G2+ = same options....just different grip and coil option. GBP does not have backlight...notch...Vbreak like the F19 and G2+ do. Hope that helps.
Very well done review. I am planning on getting a F19 to complement my relic hunting. I currently have a CTX and an At Pro. Do you find the left side connection for headphones to be bothersome?
You made a great choice. It does great with the stock 5x10...the 11DD and the 5in DD. I don't have an issue with the headphone jack. My headphones have a cord on the right side...and I swing right handed. So no issue for me personally.
Try putting 10 or 11 inches of soil on top of the coins I bet it would not detect thoses coins at the same depth as air testing does. Air test will not show the same depth when the coins are deep in the ground.
Kind of a "no duh" statment there Frank. No offense meant. I use air tests as they show a best case scenario. All soils are not the same...but air tests are always the same.
The VCO tone it has does take some getting used to...TheHuntress loves it. It is many of the recent live dig videos in the last 2 months. Check them out! A late review. :(
Great video and awesome review of the F19, it looks like a very versatile detector but would excel when relic hunting. That VCO tone takes a little getting used to, but the changing volume and pitch of the sound gives lots of extra information to the user. Thank you for sharing, good luck and happy hunting to you and the Huntress.
The V-Break option to make the low tone is a life-saver for coin shooters. The way this detector locks ID on coins is bonkers. I wish they would make a 19khz version that had the coin category icons and multiple notches and multiple tones. It would be my favorite detector in a heartbeat. Yeah 19khz might not be the best on deep silver...but the way it penetrates my iron and lead infested soil makes up for it. This F19 goes deeper than the XP Deus in my backyard soil. HH my friend.
you all probably dont care but does someone know of a trick to get back into an Instagram account?? I was dumb forgot my password. I love any tips you can give me.
@Leonidas Korbyn i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff now. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Good review Hunter! I can see why the Huntress does so well.Looks like a good machine, very nice signal response. It's been below 0 here the last to nights.Guess winter is here lol. Take care you two and stay warm. HH Eric
Yeah it is pretty awesome that is for sure. Good depth and GREAT separation and recovery speed. With the optional 11DD coil we plan on getting her - she will be a nightmare for me to deal with. HH Jerry!
We definitely disagree. At a relic site known to be infested will nails as simulated there....or around a park bench or tot lot where we know there will be tons of aluminum trash...we both sweep VERY slow and at every angle possible. Do we swing that way in a open school or park? No way. But one we don't expect trash like that in the open areas.
For me the hot setup for the F19 is the Mars Tiger coil with about 20% increase in depth.
Larger coil for sure helps on these. Thanks for watching.

I love that vco high squeaker sound.
That is a good looking machine.
I like it alot...probably going to end up getting myself one this year. The ID lock on it is amazing.

So thinking about a fisher gold bug pro but after seeing the fisher f19 I'm not sure what to do. Are the f19 and the gold bug pro the same head units

A sweet little machine, it looks good in the Huntress' hands. She does pretty good with it in hunts with you.
Wish more coins looked as good in my hands Jerry!
Thanks👊🏾
Would love to have it :)
I have G2 and I used it only few times this year.
A very sensitive machine. Plan on getting her a 11DD coil for it soon.
tell me a good this device?you know what do you use?
It sounds like a squeaker toy for my dog! Nice review TheHunterGT. Can't wait to see it out in the field.
The VCO tone it has does take some getting used to...TheHuntress loves it. It is many of the recent live dig videos in the last 2 months. Check them out! A late review. :(
I thought it looked awfully familiar! I just wasn't positive if it was the same one in the field.

Yeah -15 this morning out here with the wind chill. Bonkers. Done for a while. Stay warm as well man.
Another awesome video! Great info on this machine.
Thanks Matt! Appreciate that.
looking for yr HOW TOO video ...
Don't think I ever made one for the F19. Perhaps in a few weeks.
Great info, nice machine. No wonder the Huntress always beats you. LOL. Thanks for the review.

The coin next to the nails at 27 minutes. Nobody creeps over the ground that slow. What is it like on a proper sweep?
We definitely disagree. At a relic site known to be infested will nails as simulated there....or around a park bench or tot lot where we know there will be tons of aluminum trash...we both sweep VERY slow and at every angle possible.
