How To Pressure Wash Your House Without Damaging It!

- Do you need to pressure wash your house to get rid of all the nasty dirty green and black crude off of your house? This video will show you how to clean and what products to use.
When washing your house you want to use low pressure less than 100 PSI so you dont damage your house or remove the oxidation layer on the house. Use mildly bleach solution and surfactant to apply onto the house to clean the vinyl siding. Once you let the solution sit for 5-10 minutes and not letting dry on house. Next you will use low pressure again to rinse house and remove the dirt grime away. You can either use apressure washer or the garden hose to rinse.

Jason, this is great instruction for cleaning my siding this coming Spring. Thank you for the tutorial and product information.
Good stuff!
Three additional tips: (1) wear goggles, (2) do this in the cooler portion of the day and when the sun is low or when it's overcast, and (3) thoroughly wet down all nearby vegetation with plain water first before you apply the cleaning solution; it will kill it if you don't.
You want the sun to help the solution cook. The best results are in direct sunlight.
Feed the plants water before their fed chemicals. Pre and post
@@labarbieXCJNGX Your right, your mix was a bit weak.
what is the chemical he refers to that counteracts the oxidation?
@@domwick720 he never mentions any of the products that he uses aside from pool shock.
That's some dirty vinyl siding right there. Probably hasn't been cleaned in 7 or 8 years. Good video Jason.
Thanks
thanks for watching
Oh my... this fella is absolutely hilarious and definitely informative with his videos!!! I give him thumbs 👍up definitely not a boring video thanks for this great information 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
I love your whole set up with the nozzle and all. How can I make one like yours?
Great video one of the best teaching hands on and seeing the whole process I have seen
Very informative video! Thank you for posting. We are just getting started and did a small shop yesterday. My question is: what do we need to do when some of the black stuff doesn't wash off, after two soap and rinse? We ended up using a brush to get it off, that's easy to do on areas easily reached but not the top of the house. We were using bleach and applewash.
I should have mentioned the lady that ownes the shop had never had it washed. She has owned it for 8 years and who knows how long the previous owners had it.
That was a really good tutorial. Thank you for posting.
Thank you my friend!! Applied all you said and thinks worked out well.
Hey brother found your videos today. Love them and I am very grateful for all the information. I hope to have my business going soon.
Awesome let me know if you need anything
I just bought a pressure washer and was planning on using the pressure to do the job so I am glad I found this info so I do not make a mistake.
Yeah Pressure don’t clean. This is why we use soaps and detergents to clean vinyl siding. In fact you can do it with no Pressure Washer at all and get it Cleaner and if you did you just pressure
@@kingofpressurewash couldn’t you still use a pressure washer and just back off so it’s not blasting the siding?
No
So satisfying.....Great video bc you get right to the point and give super helpful tips!!
Once Jason, thanks once again for your time and skills. We appreciate you
My pleasure! Thanks for watching
The one thing he forgot is to recommend wearing safety glasses to protect your eyes at all times.
Yes that's true
@@kingofpressurewash what’s your setup
You have two eyes just close one keep it safe
Great video Jason! Just recently got started with house washes and I'll definitely be binge watching your videos.
Awesome ask if you have any questions
Pool Essentials chlorine liquid, 4 bucks per gallon. Home Depot, comes in 4 1 gallon cases. Good luck with your business. 🇺🇸👍🇺🇸
Pool essentials for the house?
@@soothingsensations3374 Yes, the main chemical you want to look for is sodium hypochlorite. This is what kills the organic material on the house like algae or mildew. Just make sure you rinse thoroughly and rinse any plants or greenery you have as well because you want to avoid the chemical drying.
Good Job on giving clear instructions
Thanks just trying to help people
Hi, Jason. Would you recommend that I clean asbestos shingles (siding) similarly? If not, what would you recommend? Eventually, I'd like to remove the asbestos shingles, but my house is over 130 years old and I'm unsure how it looks under it. However, one side of my house (facing closely to a neighbor's house) has the original wood siding, that looks in phenomenal condition. So, perhaps one day I'll consider it.
Thank you for your tips!
Thank for the video buying a house this month that needs a good pressure wash.
Beautiful. Im trying to start a business and I need a mentor and I think your channel is it.
Super great video, thank you so much for your help,
You have a new subscriber,
I should find you first, the other on the tube did not know much and because I use pure Clorox and pressure now the siding is all oxidation,
Did you think paint over will help to cover the oxidation?
Thank you
Very good information thank you 😊
Thanks for your time and showing your knowledge in this video
Thanks for watching
thank you for this video is gold!
Great video Sir!
You did such a great job
Great info great video thank you
First UA-cam video that felt like watching VHS. 😂 Thanks for the tips.
Great video instruction. I don't understand how I would change tips on wand if the only my black tip draws soap?
Hey man, would you recommend this mixture on a metal roof? If not, any recommendations on what to use? Thank you!!!
Thank you sir I owe you a bucket of beer👍 appreciate all the knowledge.
Hey thanks for watching
Great video Jason!
cleaning is so satisfying
Yes it is
“My eyeballs are here, there eyeballs are way down here” haha love it, great video sir!
New subscriber thanks a lot 🙏🏾
You earned yourself a like and a sub! The good Lord bless you.
Awesome thanks
Thanks for all the great content. Are there any health effects from using the bleach? As far breathing it in or getting in the eyes when it’s misting in the air?
it best not to get on you. When down streamed its less than 1%.. With roof cleaning you defently want to wear a mask to keep from breathing it
Thanks for good information thanks so much.
Very helpful. Just getting ready to do our house.
Glad it was helpful!
A telescopic lance or suitable lance to get up close would be best for putting hypo / chems on sidings like this.. This would 1) prevent overspray......... 2) apply the chems more evenly 3) Get the job done in a more efficient way...... because of the low pressure the telescopic pole ( preferably Carbon fiber ) would be a sinch / easy to control because there would be no kickback from any pressure .. shooting it up from the ground like this creates a ton of waste chems / water and also lots of overspray. which could damage other surfaces.. just my 2 cents
Great instruction. Thank you
Thanks for watching
Good job brother thank you
Great video. Where to get that nozzle and tip set up sir?
I am new to pressure washing, is this what everyone calls soft washing? And is it only for siding? Thanks
Awesome video sir thanks 🙏!!
Thanks for watching man
If I have SH 12.5% and I'm going to just put it into a regular garden sprayer to spray on our deck for the bad algae that has made the wood even turn bark. What is the ratio of water to SH 12.5%
anything that you cant put pool shock on? like will it fade the color of the paint or leave spots on deck stain etc
Great details, thank you.
Thanks for watching
What power washer are you using? I noticed you are not using a wand for a two story house and I would like to get this. Would you use this product for cleaning wood or masonry?
That initial blast lol it gets me to every now an then to. I like that tip it’s got a great flow but I mostly use black tip on a 48” lance an a pink tip on the gun for higher areas an rinse
thanks for watching
Always man you make great videos
What tip is he using?
Great video. Well done sir.
Glad you enjoyed it
Hey Jason! I’m just starting out, doing family and friends until I grow bigger. I have a 2800 PSI / 2.3 GPM washer, will the same JROD tip you recommended on amazon work on mine?
Nice info Jason!
Thanks for watching
Very informative video. Keep up the good work!
That’s a great spray pattern. Very meticulously tracked.
Yes thanks
Spray patterns should be from top to bottom. Not the other way around. Especially when you have a clapboard pattern to follow. But he seems to know everything about everything.
New home with white vinyl just alittle dirty from dust will dawn dish soap hurt ? Just need something very mild
Is the northern tool 12v softwash system worth buying in your opinion?
What’s the name of the adjustable nozzle you are using? It seems you can use it for both water and soap.
Will this work on whiskey fungus on gutters? If so how do I mix for a pump up sprayer?
Great video Jason I have been getting a lot of HOA violations house washes lately that look just like this & thanks for sharing your tips.
Thanks for watching! Im glad you are busy
Whats the best way to get the HOA jobs.

Awesome vid for us newbs
Can I use my 3.5gpm washer to do this to my house? If it's oxidized what should I use to clean rust off?
Ok, so I am trying to figure out the water to pool shock ratio. I have a 1lbs bag of powder pool shock that's 73% Calcium Hypochlorite and a 5-gallon bucket. How much powder should I put in with 1 gallon of water?
Great Job!
You really know your stuff. How much do you average per home,(1 story vs 2 story).
A one story versus a two-story really don't make no difference. I can actually clean a two-story faster than I can clean a one story.
Can you use this stuff in cooler weather
What type of handle and nozzel are you using, and how much PSI?
I have white vinyl siding, I've seen white come off the siding when pressure washing. Is this normal and ok to continue?.
Maybe I missed it, but what kind of pressure washer are you using my friend?
Awesome video
Another great video
Thanks for watching
Love your video's.
Thanks for watching
Thanks man good video
Thanks for watching
Do you have any videos about how to turn a normal pressure washer 2.5 gpm 3200 psi into a soft washer? I'm really wanting to turn mine into a soft washer but have zero idea how to.
Ok do you shake the pool shock and water ?
What soap product did you apply 1st?
Any danger of getting the chemical and water in that attic vent?
Do you pre wet the siding or do you just apply chemical
How much soap do you mix with the pool shock in a 2 gal sprayer?? Thanks for the videos!!
Dan's vlog has a good video on that. Hes in the housewashing/lawn care business. I'd tell ya the exact mixture, but it's been a while since I've watched the video.
That "all black" took me out 😂😂
I use a floor broom with soft bristles, tote with some car wash and wax. Long extension handle. Does a good enough job, better results after or on a rainy day. Rinse with the water hose. Just bought a pressure washer but will probably still use the broom.
I might add a little Bleach White like when I do the bathroom floor. Car wash/wax on that too.
That sounds like way to much work for me
Bleach doesn't bleach polyester! I had never heard that before! Great video! Thanks!
Can if it's strong enough
what do you recommend would be the best soaps to use if you are doing house siding?
sodium hypochlorite at 1-1.5 percent
You did a great job
Thanks for watching let me know if you have any questions
Do you recommend liquid pool shock as you go to solution for all homes or just homes with vinyl siding ?
I was wondering the same thing did you get an answer?
Jason, Can I use consintrated bleach on vinyl siding??. Your videos always help me
Ricky walker you can
It’s usually only 8 % so don’t dilute it down
@@kingofpressurewash ok thank you
What is the name of the tip you are using and will this tip work with 4000 psi
So if I mistakenly high pressure wash vinyl siding house what can I do now?
what kind of microhone do you use i want to get one with a new camera the go pro mic isnt well at picking up voice from 10 ft away
Where do you buy that soap nozzle from? Thank you for that great video.
I’m 10 months late but walmart
Man they way he says nasty is hilarious I have no clue why but keep up good work sir.
Probably my Kentucky accent
Would you take a Surface Cleaner or a brush broom to the side of the siding after you have applied the SH or Pool Shock? After you soap it twice do you just use your Pressure Washer to clean it off entirely or do you just let it sit there?
Soap it,rinse it,repeat if necessary.
Hello and great job. When spraying the chemical solution where is your gun pulling it from?
Theres a siphon hose on the hi pressure side of the pump that's activated when you use the soap application tip. You stick the siphon hose into your container of chemicals.
Great video I need help I do pressure washing but I never use chemical but when I saw your demonstration is looking good. I have 32ft townhouse and 120units what is the best way to apply a soap without damaging a plant and discolouration the siding? Thanks for the advance reply....
Use a 4 gallon backpack sprayer from Harbor Freight
If you use the sodium hypochlorite 10%,it shouldn't harm the plants or siding when used in conjunction with a downstream injector on a pressurewasher. If you have to apply it with a pump sprayer you'll have to dilute it with water alot.
That’s actually pretty dam good.
How do I calculate a .75 solutions of SH in a 1 gallon pump sprayer?
Love the videos...question if you can help me out. Brought a new power washer 4000 psi 3.5 , dewalt. The black tip will draw soap, but the pink tip will not. Not sure why as I had the same power washer before and didnt have an issue. Any ideas? Thanks!
The pink dip has a too small of a hole in it it won't draw because it's building too much pressure
You should mention that down low, angle upward to get the bottom of the slats so they aren't still green when you get done. Other than that, its pretty much how i get rid of mildew and mosses.
Yes that true
Thanks for the video
thanks for watching it
Great video! I have a small lawn care business and just bought a 4gpm pressure washer and want to add it to my offered services. Am I able leave my pressure regulator where it is and just use the different angled tips for at that pressure for washing siding. I know my black tip is for applying the soap.
Thanks
Yes. I have 4gpm PW and I leave mine at the max pressure and let the Jrod reduce the pressure.
I do the same. If you don’t have the pink and blue soap and rinse tips I’d suggest you get them. They’re no pressure, high volume tips
If 3% of 10% of SH mix safe on window’s? And will it kill plant’s? Please and thank you 🙏
