    If i want a light grey with same texture like you did here. Do i have to blend with other colors? Or csn i just use your method with brush techniques X shapes. And sponge

      Same type of paint, just change the paint color from white and black to light grey and brown. Same procedure. 😀

    If i want lighter shade of gray. Ratio should be higher % white and lower % black? Correct?

      You'll have better results if you sand before painting.

      Yes, this is applicable on wood. Just remember to apply wood primer before applying the acrylic paint. 🙂

      You may be able to do this on a white/cream design, just take from this video the ratio of the paints. Replace the white and black to white and cream. 😃

    This looks great! How long did you wait before the 2nd coat? Did you really not mix the white and black paint in the tray for the 1st coat?

      Thank you! I waited around 10 minutes before applying the 2nd coat. For the first coat, I intentionally did not mix the black and white paint so that the color would be uneven.

    What type of paint brush are you using? The only brushes I’ve seen like that are usually labeled as a “stain” brush.

      I'am using a Ceiling Paint Brush, but you can use any type of paint brush (the wider the better).🙂

      You can try out other cellulose sponges and see if the result works for you. 😀

    Really nice job. I plan on doing this soon. Were you using pure acrylic or a standard acrylic latex? And I assume all matte/flat? And I have to ask why the mask though? If you were not wanting to breath paint fumes, only a true NIOSH mask with charcoal filters would do that. And if for Covid, I don't see a lot of people standing around where that would be of any concern. I used to be a painting contractor and unless spraying I never really wore one, except with oil based paints or especially with stains.

      I used pure acrylic in satin finish, but you can also use matte or flat. About the mask, I made it a standard to wear one on my videos even if most of the time I don't need it. 😄Thank you for the input.

      @@thatchicknyc3606 Acrylic paint is slightly more durable than latex. But they are almost interchangeable because both are water based paint.

      BOYSEN Acrylic or Latex Paint - Black
      Paint Brush
      Sea Sponge
      12MM Tape

      Hindi naka skimcoat yung walls. Pero may Existing na paint na sya, so niliha ko lang bago mag apply nung bagong paint.😀

    Too much work, you can buy such 'concrete' look a like paints, ready to go, instead of going through all these steps and 30 different paints :D ty for the video anyways.

    Lazy craftsman indeed. Didnt bother to tape off the cabinets b4 painting, and got gray paint all over them..

      I did place transparent tape on the cabinet. If you check out the final product, the cabinet does not have the grey paint. 😄

      Same procedure ng pag paint, pero masmatibay at maswaterproof pag acrytex or elastomeric paint yung gamitin para sa labas ng bahay. 🙂
