At the very least, this acknowledges that Calypso does exist in the TV show universe, so that puts that fear to bed for good, but very few people seem to have noticed that sign in the trailer.

Seeing the Calypso Is Real sign, this makes me think Calypso will be like how he was in TMPS3, where that radio show host said Twisted Metal is not real, maybe this show will treat Calyspo and his contest as such, as it could be something of an underground event that people in the show's universe have dismissed as fear mongering (seeing Preacher is in the show, I bet he or one of his followers put up the grafitti).
I think Raven died and before death Calypso made a deal with her kinda like the character from the movie end of days did. She probably a recruiter for the tournament
My guess is, the series is going to have a bunch of flashbacks, young stone, older stone and Outlaw 2 will be the present. Shadow being blown up, Raven still alive, this also screams flashback. IMO.
maybe stone as crimson, needles and raven where part of the twisted metal contest which lead to the apocalypse, stone became outlaw, Kane owns a gang in las Vegas and raven avenged here friend and grew up which is why Shes less gothic. also, there is a sign that says calypso is real as if he's a Urben legend and is who john is sending the package to.
Me too. I think they want us to speculate and imply that she’s going to be in Calypso. That would be really stupid. I think calypso should just be calypso. I think that’s the route they are going. Especially if she’s denying that calypso is real. If she does that I will definitely think she’s working for him.
I randomly paused the video right at this screen shot and freaked out. I doubt but mostly hope she is not calypso but that her behavior Joe was referencing his behavior and the first season will set up the tournament. Maybe John is delivering the ring or whatever will grant calypso his power then season 2 we will see the tournament or even the final season? Idk… I hope she’s just raven and maybe works for calypso.
In my opinion this looks like its going to be great. I'm not going to full geek and complain on what they got right or wrong. I will enjoy the rights though. Everything else will have to wait an see. Best part so far is they didn't go woke and ruin it at least in the trailer.

And I hope they don’t have any girl bosses, who are just great at everything and condescending to men. That being said, I watched she hulk and absolutely loved it, and did not think it was how everyone said it was

Death race and mad max are the closest movies we have to twisted metal, so if the show is anything like it, it could be great.
