This becomes a bit more bearable if you think of it as Calypso punishing them for wasting his fucking time with wishes like "all the candy they can eat" or "hanging with their homies"

Some of them are kinda funny, at least... but that arguably makes things worse. It's bad enough when an ending stabs you in the face, it's even worse when it laughs at you.

These endings are kinda lame. Either he REALLY Stretches the interpretation of the wish...........or in the case of Outlaw he didn't think it through at all (Give them a few days and they will realize he gave them EXACTLY what the wanted and all they have to do is find new jobs.).

A buddy and myself played the hell out of this, dying over and over, just trying to make it to the end... after probably a couple dozen plays we finally made it to the end, we got through the final level in the blimp (? whatever it was) and despite being on the brink of death with limited weapons we stood resolute and braced ourselves for the impending confrontation with Primeval, the ultimate badass car AND THEN HE FUCKING DROVE OVER THE CENTER GAP AND DIED XD
Wasn’t my experience as a kid I had to attempt primeval so many times I legit started having nightmares about him because he plagued my life however we did finally beat him eventually and I tell you what the relief off my shoulders as a 6 year old was real

A lot of the wishes the winners could have easily done by themselves without entering the contest, and a lot of the "ironic twists" to the wishes in this one Calypso seemed to just pull out of nowhere.

I agree & the voice actor is Mel McMurrin. It would be nice if he plays the role of Calypso in the new series that's coming out on Peacock. Even if they use a different actor for the part, they could at least dub Mel's voice over the actor playing the part. Actually I'm not even sure if the character of Calypso is going to be in the series, but hopefully he will be. A new game is also on the way.

I think the problem is that they tried too hard to stick to Calypso's "I ruin your wish" methods, but they didn't get what made him so good in the first place; the fact that it was the characters' own faults that would screw them over. Instead, the screwing here just comes out of nowhere, sometimes tied with incredibly stupid wishes which just look like an excuse to put in an ending they already thought of. I think the only endings that were kinda smart were Grimm and Minion.
***** I am guess they didn't want a repeat of Twisted Metal 3 endings and that is why Twisted Metal 2012 had an over arcing story. I think they knew they couldn't duplicate the awesome ending that were in Twisted Metal Black. They knew they were incredibly lucky to be able to catch proverbial lightning in a bottle once let alone twice. So I think in the end Twisted Metal 2012 made the right decision. Granted I haven't Twisted Metal 2012 yet but looking at these endings I doubt my opinion will change once I play the game. Famous last word right? lol

How to fix some of these endings in my opinion (except for Spectre,Minion and Mr. Grimm) Club Kid- have him sent to an elderly people party Warthog- have him get a very large head Flower Power- have it be like Chuckie Flopp’s ending in Twisted Metal: Head On except with flowers instead of money Auger- Have him wish for all his buildings back and have him rebuild all of them Firestarter- Have him try to blow up Calypso but he bounces the bomb back at him and have him turn into ashes in a cartoonish fashion Granny Dread- Have her go back home but when she turns on the tv all of the channels only have car explosions and demolition derbies on them. Sweet Tooth- He gets ice cream and candy but it all tastes and smells awful

A lot of the wishes the winners could have easily done by themselves without entering the contest, and a lot of the "ironic twists" to the wishes in this one Calypso seemed to just pull out of nowhere.
Sweet Tooth's ending is just like a massive "you only have yourself to blame" moment.

I agree & the voice actor is Mel McMurrin. It would be nice if he plays the role of Calypso in the new series that's coming out on Peacock. Even if they use a different actor for the part, they could at least dub Mel's voice over the actor playing the part. Actually I'm not even sure if the character of Calypso is going to be in the series, but hopefully he will be. A new game is also on the way.

I liked the 2nd games endings way more. These feel like they are lacking something.
I think the problem is that they tried too hard to stick to Calypso's "I ruin your wish" methods, but they didn't get what made him so good in the first place; the fact that it was the characters' own faults that would screw them over. Instead, the screwing here just comes out of nowhere, sometimes tied with incredibly stupid wishes which just look like an excuse to put in an ending they already thought of.
I think the only endings that were kinda smart were Grimm and Minion.

I am guess they didn't want a repeat of Twisted Metal 3 endings and that is why Twisted Metal 2012 had an over arcing story. I think they knew they couldn't duplicate the awesome ending that were in Twisted Metal Black.
They knew they were incredibly lucky to be able to catch proverbial lightning in a bottle once let alone twice. So I think in the end Twisted Metal 2012 made the right decision. Granted I haven't Twisted Metal 2012 yet but looking at these endings I doubt my opinion will change once I play the game.

How to fix some of these endings in my opinion (except for Spectre,Minion and Mr. Grimm)
Club Kid- have him sent to an elderly people party
Warthog- have him get a very large head
Flower Power- have it be like Chuckie Flopp’s ending in Twisted Metal: Head On except with flowers instead of money
Auger- Have him wish for all his buildings back and have him rebuild all of them
Firestarter- Have him try to blow up Calypso but he bounces the bomb back at him and have him turn into ashes in a cartoonish fashion
Granny Dread- Have her go back home but when she turns on the tv all of the channels only have car explosions and demolition derbies on them.
Sweet Tooth- He gets ice cream and candy but it all tastes and smells awful
