That sounds a little harsh if it's packing fudge but with sand subbed in. OUCH! I think I'd reserve that for the A-hole who has Weller on the shelf for $300...nah, charging double for a pick is pretty bad, screw those guys lol. I actually like "pack sand" a lot more than "pound sand", it's much more clear what the hell it means.

Great 5 or 6 choices! I would mention if you are on a budget and/or can't find the BT or OWA 107, you can consider EW BiB white label @ $15 and Larceny @ $20 and work your way up to the over $50 bottles.
@@williambedard4375 Havent bought a EW BiB in over a year. For a few bucks more, I'm enjoying the ET BiB even more = more balance to those big flavors.

I’ve been into bourbon for about 9 months, been following this channel for most of that time, this is the first time I see this video, and yet I’ve collected all of these bottles lol well the special reserve and 12y instead of the 107. Keep it up guys
Saw a review of bourbons in Esquire Magazine a few years back and they compared Evan Williams to whiskeys costing north of $50 across the board. Best value among those reviewed... and it wasn't even the Single Barrel - it was the regular Black Label Evan Williams. Yeah, baby! Yeah!
Totally agree with Russell's! You missed two big ones which have different flavor profiles - Angel's Envy Port (sweet, toffee, caramel notes) and Woodford Reserve Double Oak (toasted bread, rich smoky character)..
BT is the bourbon that got me fully hooked into bourbon. Had it neat and a light went off in my head. Been a snowball affect ever since lol EDIT: made this comment as soon as I saw BT, will also attest that Rare Breed has got to be in my top 3 favorite obtainable pours of all time. ECBP is also in my top 3 favorite obtainable pours. I personally would add in a Knob Creek single barrel pick, that would round off my top 3 favorite pours. Love Weller 107, just think all the hype and ridiculous markups and secondary market flippers piss me off. The Weller and Elmer and whatever are fully worth their retail price, not even close to their secondary.
Six months ago, I didn't know what a Buffalo Trace was (I drank, mainly, Makers Mark). Now, it is one of my favorite daily drinker/warm-up bourbons. It is really good for what it is. I tried the OF 1920 based on recommends from many of these channels, and I love it. It really falls into my sweet spot proof-wise. Also found the Russell's Reserve and love it. Would love to find Weller 107, but, in the meantime, I will buy the ECBP. Love the B519.
The Weller Antique 107 is $65 in Ontario, Canada (and available at the moment). The Elijah Craig Barrel Proof is $142 and nowhere to be found. I guess I'm trying the Weller. Sadly, Russell's and Old Forester 1920 are also not available currently.
This was a great episode! I was actually just about to film something just like this. I will have to push it back a couple months haha. All great recommendations
