Thank you for sharing the laughs today, Ms. Lippy...I really needed it. Your jelly looks so pretty and clear. We have an Italian plum tree and I mostly use it for juice to can up in single servings as low-blood sugar rescue juice. (Using a steam juicer.) Saves a fortune compared to buying those commercial single serve juices. Bet it wouldn't hurt to spare some of that juice for some jelly, thank you for the inspiration.

Ms. Lippy, once I had to wear those compression stockings (this was 50 years ago) and I bought them a little too small. (I was poor back then, and they couldn't be returned, and I HAD to have 'em -- Doctor SAID!) What I did was roll them down to just above the heel, then ROLL them up. They were made out of some industrial stretch steel, or something. They weren't like leggings, or stockings at all. They were thick, and miserable. Other than I looked like I had manikin legs they LOOKED good! I had little race-horse ankles, instead of my normal Clydesdale ones.
I get one, you get one, the pot gets one 😆😆… and the powder puffs got me rolling poof,poof, 💨😂. I love your sugar shack…Yes indeed that plum jelly is beautiful and looks delicious. The color is amazing, will be making some for sure . ❤

I am here to tell you there is no easy way to get them stupid socks on except to fight with them.I did get a good laugh out of that though. Granny and Daddy both left the foam in cause us kids would fight over who got it when a new jar of jelly was opened. We had to take turns with Daddy too at our house.

Pull the stocking so that only the toe to mid foot region is as you would put on a sock, the rest is inside out. Pull up and over the heel. The most difficult part. Then pull the stocking up 4-5 inches at a time until stocking is completely on. Repeat other leg. I have applied them at least a thousand times.

Ms. Lippy, I'd like to suggest you get a "canning element" for your electric stove in the Sugar Shack. I got mine from Amazon. It's built a little sturdier than the regular electric element and it holds your pot a bit higher, too. It plugs right into the spot in your stove. I'm so glad Mr. Buddy is doing so well. Y'all are such a pair!

Good Morning Ms Lisa, I would weigh out 3 1/2 lbs just to make sure you have plenty plums; but not all jelly is the same. Some fruits are more dense, so you may need 6 cups juice depending on the natural pectin. ❤️. I believe we will have enough plums to make a second batch🥰
Oh my gosh you are hilarious! 😂 That plum jelly looks delicious. I am saving wild sand plums right now to get enough to make a batch. I had know idea that my dad had transplanted a wild sand plum tree in his yard. I bought his place, which is directly behind mine across a creek in 2013 when they moved to town. The whole time I have owned it there has never been one single piece of fruit on that wild plum tree and this year it is loaded!! They are very small probably more than half the size of your plums, but they make the best jelly. I pulled my beets and canned pickled beets today. So glad Mr Buddy is doing well. Sister I have set with most of my relatives in and out of the hospital and I know that feeling of what you are experiencing…we call it rum dum. Even though we aren’t drinking we all just laugh and say we’re getting rum dum from not enough sleep! 😂 love and Gods blessings and oh that shirt of Mr Buddy’s sounds terrific for a heart patient! ❤❤

Hey Ms. Lippy. Try rolling the socks into a doughnut. Pull them on just to the ankle. Then “unroll them” until the are unrolled to cover his leg. When you take them off start from the top and roll them down to the ankle. Grab the whole sock and pull it off his ankle. It’s a lot easy. Then you can still powder his legs! 🤣😂

Oh my Ms Lippy! My husband went through the same thing with his compression socks. We ended up getting compression socks with a side zipper from Amazon and it solved the problem. Now he doesn’t need my help and it’s a breeze for him.
Lippy get 1 of of those metal sock donners and get 1 of buddies guy friends to cut it and attatch it with piano style hindges so it works backwards so you put it on up by the knee and roll it backwards to get it off.The powder is like the aftershave on home alone.Dont ever cut it out the antics are the best part.
Growing up we road bicycles and eat plumbs from sides of the road. Now you don't see plumb trees because roads crews are spraying everything with chemicals.
MS LIPPY, MY AUNT TURNS SOCK INSIDE OUT, PUTS ON DISHWASHING GLOVES THEN STARTS PUTTING THE SOCKS ON MY UNCLE USING A ROLLING UP METHOD PITTING MY UNCLE SOCKS ON. WHEN DONR THE COMPRESSION SOCKS ARE ON CORRECT.
Hold the sock in front of you with the heel part facing you, put your hand into the sock grap the toe part and pull back to heel, it looks inside out, put the foot part over toes and pull over heel, Then pull the rest up. This probably makes no sense. Enjoy your videos

Thank you for sharing the laughs today, Ms. Lippy...I really needed it. Your jelly looks so pretty and clear. We have an Italian plum tree and I mostly use it for juice to can up in single servings as low-blood sugar rescue juice. (Using a steam juicer.) Saves a fortune compared to buying those commercial single serve juices. Bet it wouldn't hurt to spare some of that juice for some jelly, thank you for the inspiration.

Ms. Lippy, once I had to wear those compression stockings (this was 50 years ago) and I bought them a little too small. (I was poor back then, and they couldn't be returned, and I HAD to have 'em -- Doctor SAID!) What I did was roll them down to just above the heel, then ROLL them up. They were made out of some industrial stretch steel, or something. They weren't like leggings, or stockings at all. They were thick, and miserable. Other than I looked like I had manikin legs they LOOKED good! I had little race-horse ankles, instead of my normal Clydesdale ones.

Pull the stocking so that only the toe to mid foot region is as you would put on a sock, the rest is inside out. Pull up and over the heel. The most difficult part. Then pull the stocking up 4-5 inches at a time until stocking is completely on. Repeat other leg. I have applied them at least a thousand times.

Ms. Lippy, I'd like to suggest you get a "canning element" for your electric stove in the Sugar Shack. I got mine from Amazon. It's built a little sturdier than the regular electric element and it holds your pot a bit higher, too. It plugs right into the spot in your stove.

Good Morning Ms Lisa, I would weigh out 3 1/2 lbs just to make sure you have plenty plums; but not all jelly is the same. Some fruits are more dense, so you may need 6 cups juice depending on the natural pectin. ❤️. I believe we will have enough plums to make a second batch🥰

Oh my gosh you are hilarious! 😂 That plum jelly looks delicious. I am saving wild sand plums right now to get enough to make a batch. I had know idea that my dad had transplanted a wild sand plum tree in his yard. I bought his place, which is directly behind mine across a creek in 2013 when they moved to town. The whole time I have owned it there has never been one single piece of fruit on that wild plum tree and this year it is loaded!! They are very small probably more than half the size of your plums, but they make the best jelly. I pulled my beets and canned pickled beets today. So glad Mr Buddy is doing well. Sister I have set with most of my relatives in and out of the hospital and I know that feeling of what you are experiencing…we call it rum dum. Even though we aren’t drinking we all just laugh and say we’re getting rum dum from not enough sleep! 😂 love and Gods blessings and oh that shirt of Mr Buddy’s sounds terrific for a heart patient! ❤❤

Hey Ms. Lippy. Try rolling the socks into a doughnut. Pull them on just to the ankle. Then “unroll them” until the are unrolled to cover his leg. When you take them off start from the top and roll them down to the ankle. Grab the whole sock and pull it off his ankle. It’s a lot easy. Then you can still powder his legs! 🤣😂

Oh my Ms Lippy! My husband went through the same thing with his compression socks. We ended up getting compression socks with a side zipper from Amazon and it solved the problem. Now he doesn’t need my help and it’s a breeze for him.
